nation. he is not. his overriding concern can be summed up in two words, social justice. it all comes back to that. the president sincerely believes that the deck is stacked against minority americans and many working poor people and he is trying to right that perceived wrong. so excepting -- accepting that premise, that social justice is the president's primary goal, you begin to understand his posture on almost every other issue. let's take benghazi. the president flat out said he did not mislead the nation and he believes the issue is trumped up by the fox news channel and others. but even more importantly, more importantly, the president doesn't see benghazi or the irs situation or the obama care screw ups as important in the long run. he sees them as mistakes, believes we should all move on and support his goal of social justice. it is the same thing that happened in the beginning of the

watergate situation when supporters of nixon attacked his critics saying it was, quote, a third rate burglary. it is the same thing as president clinton's supporters who said over and over and over, it is just about sex. to nixon and clinton themselves, their troubles were rather inconsequential because those men believed what they were doing for this country was far more important. are we all getting this? now talking points believes and clearly stated in yesterday's moamm memo that the benghazi and british colomb -- obama care supporters are disagreeing and there will never be common ground on that. but the president has brought scrutiny on himself after saying this about benghazi, people don't know at the very moment

exactly why something like this happens and when you look at the video tape of this whole thing unfolding, this is not just some system attic well organized process. >> it was heavy weapons. >> bill, bill, listen. >> have gone through this and we have had multiple hearings on it. you have an attack like this takes place and a mix of folks who are just troublemakers, folks who have an ideological agend you and some who are affiliated with terrorist organizations and some who are not. >> based upon our investigation here, the attack that kills ambassador christopher stevens and three other brave americans was an organized terrorist action. so there is strong suspicion that the obama re-election campaign did not want that made public because it might lose the president some votes back in 2012. now that is a big deal.

little ratings bump over there but and it's surprising because it's just night after night after night. there is nothing new. they are on a jihad against christie. why? why are they wasting all the time? >> well, don't look just at msnbc. they are the tool. they -- look back behind them and you will see a lot of democrats, particularly those concerned about 2016 who are doing this for two reasons. one is because they think think have to and the second because they can. they have to because they look at christie and say he, at the time that this broke was the frontrunner on the republican side and in many polls was tied or ahead of hillary clinton. so they are worried about him. and their object is to tear him down. by tearing him down they send a message to any other republican if you are coming after us, this is the kind of treatment you can expect from us. they are doing it because they can. because they have a willing media to help them. not just msnbc. but this has taken up a lot of attention in the national media which is headquartered in new york. and which, some of whose

members did not like the fact that he won re-election in a nearby state by a big margin as a republican and as a conservative and so, you know, they can and so they will go after him. >> okay. but it is a big story if it can be proven that the governor lied to the people and i understand that. and we're covering it here on that basis. but there isn't anything coming out there. are these charges that are unsubstantiated made by people who want to plea out, you know, they say all right, we might give you something if you don't charge me for. this but, it seems to me that there is something personal. i mean, i know the democratic party wants to win. all political parties wants to win. but there is a personal element to the christie thing that i think is almost unique. do you see that? >> well,like, of course they are upset about it knowledge, the garden state is a -- not the purple state. it's a deep blue state. christie wins the governor's race. and then wins re-election last fall and wins combines

convincingly by a big margin in their backyard. remember the people we talk about dictate these stories are the producers and eted tores and talent places like msnbc but also about the "new york times" and the national networks and they most of them live in the greater new york area. and they share a mind set and for them it's -- look, think about it. think about the attention. the governor of oregon, not a bad guy, wasted $200 million in a web site for the oregon exchanges which does not work and has not signed up anybody. has the national media given that any attention. >> zero. >> the governor of colorado had this issue where the chuck e cheese killer, this guy who killed people in a pizza parlor that serves mostly kids was due to be executed and the governor punted on it saying i'm going to basically kick this down so that the governor that follows me in five years is going to have to make this decision. the national media gave it 10 seconds and that was it. so, look, christie is a political figure. is he a republican who is

back of the book segment tonight, the week in review from the ingraham angle. today, speaker of the house boehner said this about immigration reform. >> there is widespread doubt about whether this administration can be trusted to enforce our laws. and it's going to be difficult to move any immigration legislation until that changes. >> here now with her immigration plan, ms. laura ingraham who joins us from washington. so what would do you? >> well, bill, i think barbara jordan had it right back in 1995. she was the democrat

congresswoman, african-american medicine of the commission on immigration reform. and she said look deportation is crucial. right? because we don't have any credibility in immigration today. obama brought down the deportation level. so there is a big, you know, welcome mat at the border now. we have a lot of unaccompanied minors coming across, a surge at the border. have to do border enforcement, number one, number two, we have to do employment verification. a the love these employers want to hire people. get documents, phony documents maybe licenses. they don't know who is legal who is not. we need that number three, we have to make it more difficult for people who are in this country illegally to stay here. they have got to be encouraged to go home. they can't be opening up bank accounts, driver's licenses, all the benefits you get. the polls out there. the fox news poll on this last year, rasmussen, shows that those are three very popular ideas. the people that actually want those three things done. every poll shows it. but the political class for a variety of reasons has kind of turned a blind eye to this and keep the cheap

labor. >> in i think all of that can be tweaked. the fact remains there are 12 million estimated illegal aliens, undocumented workers whatever here in the united states. part of the problem is theirs because they snuck in. but it's not their children. their children didn't do anything wrong. a lot of the children were born here. >> tharg amount, i think bill is not all that persuasive. there are a lot of criminals in the country. >> humanitarian pure and simple. >> why shouldn't the guy in nigeria who is a really good guy who want to be an american, why can't he have who guy and wants to be an american, why can't he have a fast track to this country? the fact you decided to have a child here is not a wonderful thing for the child. because the child is now living in an illegal situation, even though the child is an american citizen. >> well, it is not the child's fault. look, i think we can find a way to do this. >> but where do the parents go? do they stay here? do they not stay here?

>> it depends. >> that is a lot of people. >> i say that because part of this problem is the government. the federal government, which from ronald reagan on looked the other way. >> well, ronald reagan o-- that is not true. >> oh, yeah, they did. >> well, simpson mozole, which he signed into law had very strict provisions, they were not followed. barbara jordan, that is what she was alluding to. >> but it is not the government, the government did not enforce, one of the reasons they did not was from pressure from big business because of what they wanted. >> that is really not my fault. not the middle class's fault, they want things to work, and have the constitution followed. right now we have an under-cutting of the law, and the american people don't either have faith in john boehner or barack obama to do the right

thing. and it is too bad there are a lot of people here whose parents did the wrong thing and they are criminals. >> so do you think we should deportable 12 million? >> i think we should make it less hospitable for people to live here. >> no benefits -- >> if you're stealing from the country you wouldn't get those benefits. and now we have a separate class of people who are in violation of the law who are going to get special benefits. it makes no sense, the kids who were born here are citizens. they can either stay with their parents in their home country or stay with a relative here who is here legally. but it is not the fault of the american class and the american taxpayer to foot the bill. >> well, yeah, i think you're right that there has to be some kind of accountability on people who are allowed to stay and get a green card. i think you're too tough on it but i do think you have good points. >> the people are with me, the folks are with me.
