10:02 pm
that is the regular usage of preachers, the real indignation and upsetness should be over the regrets of the agenda. >> thank you. if you have any more questions. >> today is about the people of north carolina. dr. barber answered your question, and now it's time to move on. >> do you think black conservatives are allowed to have their frame of thought? >> our focus is on today. we're engaged in -- and your question can be answered at a later point, but it won't be answered today. >> here now for his exclusive reaction to the development. tim scott. senator, i asked you about that, i ran into you when i was at the state of the union and it kind of shrugged it off. here's an opportunity where this minister is asked and he starts laughing, crowd starts laughing. his job, his calling, the job of

the naacp, he says is to speak the truth. and he stands by, he won't apologize. i want to get your reaction first, and then i have a thought. >> well, i say, i have not found that scripture in the bible that says you demonize those folks you do not know. i'd love to hear the chapter and the verse on that one. what i think is outrageous is the silence that we hear, as kids trapped in poverty do not find the opportunity to escape poverty through education. i find it outrageous there's such a level of silence, we can't hear people responding to the fact that we have kids today that are suffering, that cannot find their way out, and the leaders who have the great opportunity to use their voices on behalf of the people, will not take a stand on behalf of those folks trapped in failing schools and say, enough is enough. what i find outrageous is the fact that we have such a high enemployment rate, and we spend very little time having a debate about that, instead, people will debate whether or not they know
10:04 pm

10:05 pm
many communities. black ones, white ones, hispanic ones, we have kids trapped in deplorable conditions. and yet the leaders of the community are missing the opportunity to stand. we've had several organizations that have served our country well. and perhaps it's time for us to take a second look in the mirror and find out what we're fighting for in the 21st century and not the 20th cen duri. >> the left seems to have this monopoly on compassion and being nondiscriminatory. but it seems -- >> inconsistent with reality. it's inconsistent. >> but it seems open season, if you're black and conservative, you can be called every name in the book and nobody in the media calls him on it. let me give you an example. >> i've been an elected republican for 18 years now, unfortunately i've had the opportunity to hear really abrasive comments toward me, insulting comments toward me,
10:06 pm
and the worst part, this is really what gets under my skin a little bit, we have kids all over this country that are listening to the so called leaders, talking about other leaders and unfortunately, those kids walked away, if i step out of line, i think for myself, i'm not a part of the mono lidgic community. i'm ostracized, kicked out. not relevant to the future of that community. that's ridiculous. >> david also confronted some people that were in this march about the tea party and whether or not the unemployment rate in the black communities is almost twice that of the national average. i'll tell you, the only reason i stayed out of trouble as a kid, because i had a job every summer. black youth unemployment is about 50% now, that's not good for anybody. >> not at all. the answer to these questions, let me explain and get your reaction. >> you think the tea party's racist? >> yes, yes. >> can you give me some examples? >> how the tea party's racist?

election, and continues today inside the republican governor's association. earlier today, the rga announced it brought in a whopping record breaking $6 million in january proving, i guess, that the christie scandal does not seem to be hurting the governor's fund-raising ability. here to set the record straight, rick perry. how are you. >> it's good to be with you. >> any bad blood? >> no. we are working toward a common goal, and that is to elect as many republicans as we can, on november 2014. are we competitors, you better believe it. we're great competitors, at the end of the day, we're all on the same team, and that's what matters. >> is there really a difference between southern republican governor and a northeast republican governor?
