a start. >> chris wallace joins us now. chris, you heard 7 million target and now is he low balling us on purpose? >> i don't know. i think they would be thrilled if they got 5 or 6 million given the terrible start and the latest numbers are over three millions with two months to go. 5 or 6 million sounds realistic and they can live with that. that would be another sign of how badly the program started. there were other numbers that are concerning and one of them is the risk pool of those signing up. 5 or 6 or 7 million, how many of them are the young healthy tweep 20 and 35 years of age. they need them because they need their premiums and not having to pay for a lot of services. but they originally projected 40 percent of the risk pool would

be in that group and now somewhere between 20 or 25 percent. and other number is number of uninsured. the ponent was to reach out to 30 or more uninsured people. so far, the number is in the teens. the percentage of people who seened up for obama care that are uninsured. you don't take over a sixth of the economy to get 10-15 percent of the uninsured signed up. >> you showed numbers they are not reaching the goechlt what does that mean for obama care? >> i don't think the total number is serious as the other numbers are and particularly the risk pool. the problem is, if you have 20 or 25 percent of the total pool that are young and rest of them older than you expect them to be. it would be costing them more and moans you have to raise

security again. steve is from washington. >> reporter: yeah, the department of homeland security issued the warning on to the airlines saying it was based on information that is deemed to be credible. it is flights from the u.s. to foreign countries and does not say it is a spectacular flight. but issued out of abundance of caution. an unsuccessful attempt came when richard reed tried to set off an explosion on a fly from paris to miami. this new warning may show that terrorist may have new tactics or technology. >> this undicates to me they believe they can get past the security precautions in response to the original shoe bombing plot. if there is a new explosive or way to get past security. who knows? that is frightening to me.

a legal battle is now brewing over pensions in california. the former ventura county sheriff says $275,000 a year is not enough to retire on. he says he's owed more. that could be -- that means that he's setting the stage for a showdown over pension reform. live in los angeles with the details. >> eric, you know, it's a fight the pension reformers welcome. polls show 73% of californians want to end the gravy train for public employees, 20,000 of whom make more than 100 grand a year
