misspoke? >> we don't know the answer to that. obviously the senators had a lot more conversations with him and there are serious allegations laid out in the latest weekly standard article where the vice chairman of the senate intelligence committee and senator burr, and along with senator lindsay graham, these are serious allieses. and i like mike morell and he has done a lot for this country. but at the time when he testified, it left murkiness. and no one had comb any skwrs for how the talking points got changed. i think mr. morell should come up voluntarily to the house and senate committee to clarify this. for a long time we have known nothing made sense on how the talking points got changed. he may hold the key.

portions of the upper midwest and a foot of snow and severe weather with diagramming wind and large hail and tornados, all of that damage in the line of storm that produced 250 reports of severe reports of weather. multiple tornado watches and as far as south of south carolina and north of new jersey, just south of the new york city area. and what the thunderstorms do, we have warnings. and when you do get a tornado warning issued for the county seek shelter immediately. that means there could be a tornado on the grouvenltd something else that the storm system is doing is producing travel delays in the northeast. up to three hours in philly international and close to three hours in new york city laguardia. and so if you are traveling today, pack your patience. >> i always have patience.

hopefully we'll have a better weekend. thank you, maria. the storms in the northeast left damage in the south and midwest. garrett has more on that from chicago. the windy city hammered this winter. windy city is living up to its name. >> reporter: it really has. we have winds 20 or 30 miles per hour throughout the day and the crazy weather is continuing in the winter season. we have the damage from the tornados, as well as the blizzards and flooding in many parts of the midwest. the national weather service said four possible tornados touched down in central and southern illinois overnight and evening yesterday and destroyed many of the homes and buildings and knocking over trees and power lines that left more than 30,000 people without electricity last night west of springfield, missouri. the tornado tore the roof off of the knights of columbus hall.

boy, who had multiple fractures and turned out he had ostro againesis and you touch your baby it fractures the leg. they will do their job to make sure the baby didn't have a condition that would help the defense. what does the prosecution have to do? >> that is brittle bone disease. and essentially the cause of death is shaken baby syndrome. and one of the symptoms is spinal fractures. the spoinl fractures happen. and the child was halfway around the world with the mother. and the mother had full custody and now the question is, did the head injury that was the targeted cause of death also happen 2 or 3 weeks ago before the death? i have had cases w where shaken baby is rennal injuries and not

cause of death. it is feasible that that could have happen that long ago and the child died later. that could raise reasonable doubt as you said. >> john, this is a complicated element to prove. what is the standard for the prosecution in terms of tying earlier injuries to the nanny? is it essential for conviction? i don't think it is at all. forensically the prosecutions will have to sew it together about what happened immediately prior to the injury. it is not a month. the prosecutions will not have a hard time proving that the cause of death is what ever happen. and the nanny was the only one there. >> got to leave it there, guys. great analysis, thank you. eric? >> and coming up, take a look at
