hood, texas today. what can you tell us about this fight we are hearing about? >> good morning heather and heather. the lieutenant on the post said there's a strong possibility there was some kind of altercation with a soldier or multiple soldiers just before the shooting happened on wednesday. we were talking to some soldiers here on the post yesterday. he was showing a text message that was going around among his friends. others saying there was an altercation on the post. an argument lopez had with an officer when he requested paid time off. a tdy form he was requesting time off. he was upset about that before the shooting. jenkins one of my colleagues here at fox news he went out to the maybed to to talk to lopez's wife and listen to what one of the neighbors said. there was no sign of violence before he went to work on wednesday. listen to this.

>> status of the victims we know there were tloofz other individuals who were shot dead before he turned the gun on himself. army ant timothy owen his mom found out getting a call from his wife saying he had been shot in the chest and he was quote gone. his mom is mary from illinois 77 years old. there is his picture. we heard from his cousin. he always wanted to serve his country. he was always wearing camouflage as a little boy sunglasses and bomber jacket. he was one of four children. he lost a brother 8 years ago so now his mom has lost two sons. he was previously married and did have children. 9 victims went to the hospital 5 released 4 are in serious condition. they were critical yesterday.

effect early this morning. we have reports of tornadoes starting yesterday afternoon across states like missouri, texas and also in illinois. in franklin texas reports that there is damage to a foundation of a barn and several trees that came down. we have reports of damage and the national weather service crew will be heading out and deciding whether to confirm the tornadoes in the area. across states like tennessee, parts of polimississippi and alabama. we did have several tornado warnings. those have been listfted but severe weather in mississippi, tennessee and that means we have a chance for more large hail and potential for winds up to 60 miles per hour.

missouri pretty much crushed by a tin can. we have two tornado watches in mississippi, alabama and parts of tennessee. they go through the morning hours. these storms continue moving toast ward and other states could get hit hard by the severe weather. we have multiple warnings out here. we have a tornado warning that has been lifted in northeastern parts of mississippi. the concern out here is that it is still dark out. people won't be able to spot the tornadoes or potential tornadoes. take the warnings seriously. from west virginia to mississippi we have the
