at the university of kentucky which lost the game a similar scene, mindless vandalism. contempt for authority, 18 people hurt. multiple arrests. there is no political component involved. the mayhem is happening because of a breakdown of respect for property and authority. the main driver of the destructive mind set is grievance and intaltsment. the u.s.a. is now being portrayed by powerful people as an unfair country that oppresses minorities, women, the poor and so on. that message is sinking in. thus, disrespect is rising. the primary grievance right now is allege inequality. progressives selling the myth that folks cannot get a fair shake in america bowers the system is rigged against most citizens. the left-wing media legitimizes that nonsense and one of the biggest mouth pieces for the progressive movement is stephan coal -- colbert. only about 1 million people watch his program.

at the finish line. bottom bomb went off. you were hurt. you knew you were alive and then you started to think back about what you had seen right before the exmotion. that was a key thing that you told the police. you described the man, tamerlan, right? >> yep. >> you said you know what? this guy didn't look like. >> he didn't based upon your description and the tape and the photographs they arrested him. that's an amazing piece of clarity by the way for a person as injured as you were. and we congratulate you for that it's very courageous. >> i was with it. belief me, most human beings, i don't think would be able to do what you did. so you lose your legs above the knee. traumatic. you are a young guy, you are working at cosco, your life. you have a fiancee, your life is good. all of a sudden, bang, changes, you have to make these unbelievable sacrifices to get back on track. tell me how what you went

through just to be able to stand. >> a lot of pain. my hustles hurt. it's just -- i was sitting down pretty much for a month. right? i couldn't get like my body straight. and then once i got straight, it was just totally different. it was all my muscles were stretching out and i was in pain. and the sockets, they are carbon fiber that go around your legs. and they are hard. it's a hard material. my legs were very sensitive until about three or four months ago. i couldn't even sleep at night. >> so they put the artificial legs on you i assume -- you are in pain all the time. i assume they gave you medicines for pain. >> i gave it. the wounded warriors that was. >> they said get off it? >> get off othe ms. >> so the therapist came in and they are working with you. how long was that process? >> it is still going on. >> ongoing process?

>> yeah. i'm still working with my legs. once or twice a week with my p.t., my physical therapist. she is great. i go to charles town, massachusetts. >> right. >> i'm just working at the legs have all these different modes that i can use. >> sure. now, psychologically, that's the physical hart of it. how long did it take you to psychologically to accept that you were grievously wounded? >> sometimes i don't fully accept it. >> still today? >> yeah. >> it's tough. i miss doing old things. i miss being able to jump out of my house and into a car and drive. i miss that stuff every day. >> you look good to me. your eyes are are clear. you are articulate. you have a good book i want people to check it out.

this country's constitutional history. the sculpture of moses holding the 10 commandments hangs outside the supreme court to this very day. and there is a good reason for that. jing us now from washington fox news political analyst charles krauthammer. so, first of all, am i going awry in my analysis of jesus and the public schools? >> well, i'm not sure what the analysis is. if what you are saying is that that your book should be mandatory in the public schools, perhaps not. [ laughter ] >> my book, yes. your book, not so sure. >> doesn't have anything to do with books, you know. you read my talking points memo it has to do with teaching the urchins history. you can't teach the history of america by avoiding judeo-christian tradition and the impact it had on the framers. it's impossible. >> i'm all in favor of teaching history. i'm all in favor of teaching civics. i'm all in favor of teaching where the founders derived

the principles that went into the declaration and then went into the constitution. and, for that, you would want to start with the greeks. you would want to go to the romans. you would do john lock. you would do the old testament, john locke, old testament, new testament and have a pretty good summary of how we got to where we are. if that's what you want to teach i'm all for it. >> i would pick it up with the 18th century and the british throwing off the king and basically becoming a democracy and then pick it up because that's the link. you know what i'm talking about here. if you bring in -- if you say the word jesus in public school you'll have somebody knocking on your door screaming separation of church and state. i mean, look. do you think the statue of moses holding the ten commandments can be erected in front of a federal

building now? >> i wouldn't. when you say the wore jesus can't be used in public school it depends on what the context is. >> no it doesn't. >> yes. let me give you and example. under the first amendment you can teach about religion. you want to have a high school course on the history of religions and comparison religion, on the influence of religion on the american founding, on lincoln, his view, his understanding of divine justice and the civil war. that would be perfectly reasonable, and i don't think there would be any objection. the difference is -- >> why aren't we? >> we're not teaching anything. we're not teaching the civil war. we're not teaching the founders. we're not explaining anything. i looked at the ap exams my son had to write in high school. there's whole gaps of the history. they tell you in advance they will never ask about a battle or a date in the civil war. you go until 1860 and skip to reconstruction. a bit of a gap.

>> but i submit to you that this case in west virginia that i cited where they took the picture of jesus which was hanging in a corridor for 20 years off the wall, there was no divinity there. it was just a picture of the man. all right. now i would have put a picture of moses next to him and a picture of mohamed maybe. i don't object to that. i believe public school has consciously said we're wiping out judeo-christian tradition, we're not going mention it, it's too much trouble and we don't want it and that what i think is happening. last word. >> look, i don't believe in what the zealots are doing. i don't like tearing stuff off the wall. but if you want your child to learn about god, i wouldn't mind -- i would not want my child be taught about the nature of god and divinity at my public school. >> we're not talking about that. >> well jesus is considered

divine -- >> only by christians. >> right. >> you know it forged the constitution, they did use the traditions and the history of judeo-christian philosophy. >> bill, if i have the last word i would say we agree on this. there's nothing wrong with teaching in the context of the founding. jesus if you like in the context of the founding. the only difference is under the first amendment you teach about religion, and its influence on history and philosophy. but you do not teach religion itself. if you want that you go to your parents, you go to your school, private school, a parochial school or a church but not the public school. >> charles as always thank you. tip of the day an amazing charitable story that many of you made possible. the tip, moments away.
