first place. >> it is for four years complained about the questions and a lot has to do with the timing when they are asking respondents did you have insurance in the last 12 months. the way they phrased it people's answers are not accurate and in a working paper in the bureau, they said that questions are causing inflated estimates of the underinsured. and this is what the census is saying. >> does that mean the new questions in and of themselves will make the number of uninsured people come down? >> they went out and did a test where they sent folks out in the fold to test both questions. old phrasing and new phrasing and they kim back with different results. using the old questions, there is part of the population uninsured and new phrasing.

10.6 percent of the population is uninsured. and the chief of health statistics, said we expect lower numbers because of the questions and how they are asked. it is the census bureau itself said we'll get a lower number because of the question. >> interesting, many people expected theidate to clear up the question of how many people uninsured will be insured because of the health care law. we pushed on the numbers of enrollment and with the census change it will make it more complicated. >> the test was before obama care was in place. they hoped it could part the people signing up and kicked off of the old insurance. and we could see what the net number was. that will not happen because there is a break in the data and

they are not comerable. is that is a coincidence? >> you know, there are people in the bureau claimering to change the data, it is unclear why it was done at this time. it is coincidental and unfortunate timing. it was done before the major provisions of the health care law took us back. this will be manage that a lot of people will be fighting about without question. >> good to so you. and in a now minutes, spoke with the white house communication's director. and we'll get her to weigh in on the gender pay issue that is stirring up a bit of controversy. >> and a now video surfacing and showing a large group of al-qaeda fighter ares, meeting out in the open in yemen. and at one point they told those gathered to remain focused on

we are leaving beend chaos in counsel row after country. the arab spring had promise but led to chaos and that's in which al-qaeda thrives. whether it is in syria or iraq or yemen al-qaeda is greater numbers than before. the reason it will get worse. in syria now that assad is firmly in charge and that fighting may wind down. the guys who are fighting assad, the rebels, the largest is islamic extremist and if that dies down, where are they going? they will not go home and join the pta. they will go back to host countries bring jihad. hundreds are pene pones and americans and a good number of them will move in iraq and egypt in the sina i peninsula.

confusion. what the census bureau made changes to calculate the uninsured. there is concern that it will gig the numbers related to obama care. this change is taking us back to the 2012 data which is the data you would have f cases of the affordable care act. you will be comparing when you actually have data from the affordable care act, you would have had something else to compare it to. and something that is in the works for ten years and something that was started urched the bush administration and census survey did to determine a more accurate read. why? i upon not sure we would know the numbers would be different or better. it is university what people who

a skills act. will you help get harry reid to bring it up in the senate and there might be a meeting of the minds here. >> there might be. the vice-president has been a signed to work on skills by the president in the state of the yup and had discussions with the house republicans. in the meantime there is a lot we can do withouts inially new legislation. we are announcing the grants today, and the vice-president has the task that he will do for six months to try to linkup the best community colleges that may have a business in the area that needs skilled workers like creating three d printing and linkup the community college with the jobs to make sure they are getting the skills they need. it is hands on and practical connections that the vice-president will look to make and reforms that we should be making in the job training programs we have.

take a look at this. a mother's wild run from the law playing out on camera dash cam video showed how it happen. the michigan trooper stopping the mother after she kidnapped the daughter in a supervised visit. she pulls the girl on the lap as she leads the police on a high- speed chase. and she was high on cocaine. and the car finally came to a stop. and the mother tries to run with her daughter in her arms and the woman is now facing a slew of charges. >> at lost four people are dead. and a ferry sinks off of the coast of south korea. they were heading to a tourist iowa land. and david piper is streaming

live from bangkok, thailand. >> reporter: yes, the search is continuing in the waters off south korea and 16 hours since that ferry started to cap side. throw 80 people are still missing. the ferry was carrying high school students and travel nothing the northwest to the southern resort island. dozens of ships and helicopters have been involved in the rescue effort. a us navy ship is helping. others were told to jump in the water and be picked up by ships. the ferryboat tilted at 45 degrees. and only a part of the hull was left above the surface and the survivors said they were thrown around as the ship hit something

scandal with lois lerner is outrageous. it is impossible to get information and get to the bottom of it. and where as, the president saying it was investigated and we know what happened even though we don't know what happened and no one is held accountable. ndavid, on that point, the white house said they turned over documents to congress and no matter what they turn over you and others say we want more. what is in the documents? >> that's the question and the other part of it is do we get the documents that are redakted or turn over so much it takes you months to go through 40 or 70,000 pages. the numbers keep adding up. back to kirsten's point of transparency. we need checks and banses and captain trust the fox to guard the help house.

the actions of the irs that tries to cod foy their behavior whether they are targeting left or right or any group. their job is to assess. nkirsten, you called for more transparency. you think the republicans are just continuing to beat up the president because of a midterm? >> i don't think. look, it doesn't matter if i think there is something damaging in there or not. the government should be transparent separate from the fact that the president promised he would be the most transparent government in the history of the world. we should expect that the government should when information is requested. it is on them to provide it. i don't care how many documents they handed over. i don't feel like there is a real accounting for what is happening and the acsayings that were made. you would expect people to be

schools and they come in contact with each other for those reasons, they are saying. is the system broken? do states and the federal government relook at gps devices to i do think certainly these type of systems need to be looked at and currently upgraded as technology improves, as their ability to perhaps locate people, either works or doesn't work. however, we need to keep in mind from a law enforcement perspective is that these are just one of the tools they use to keep people who are on some type of probation, some type of a court-ordered kind of monitoring program, it's only one tool they use to be able to know where they are, what they're doing. it's not meant to really prevent crime. so these people have a lot of latitude because of the way the justice system has been set up. they say these people don't pose a great risk to society, so we're going to let them be in society, however, we're going to monitor them. but you don't know when they go down the street, are they robbing the 7-eleven or are they just going to buy some gatorade? >> well, bill daly, thank you so much for joining us. >> you're welcome. >> meanwhile, some shocking new

unveiled in north american and world debuts. this is a simulator version of that 2015. we've been trying, but they won't let us pull this cover back to show you. but i can tell you thanks to my sources that that 2015 challenger is modeled after the 1971 challenger. these challengers are modeled after the 1970. the new one will be modeled after the 1971. the other cool thing about this auto show is all the new technology, including the chrysler 200. it includes forward collision warning, adaptive cruise control. so if you're driving too fast, you come up on traffic, it will slow you down automatically. and then the lane departure warning. so if you drift out of a lane, it will warn you to get back in it. this car is fully loaded. it's pretty nice. they start like 21,000, go up to about 38 grand. but it's very user friendly. it's got plugs for everybody. ac plugs. phone plugs, adapters, all sorts of stuff. it's a really high-tech car in a
