>> hope you're having a great easter weekend ahead. na thank you for joining us today. fox news alert. armed pro russian gunman holding their ground, rejecting an agreement hammered out between the u.s. and russia. >> ukraine's interim government now offer to go meet some of the protester's demands. but the gun men say they will not give up control of government buildings unless top officials resign. leland, what is the latest? >> reporter: it seems president obama's skepticism that this latest deal would bring an end to the crisis was very well placed. the russian separatists have now doubled down on their demands the past 24 hours. a couple hours ago, we visited the russian separatist headquarters that is a regional

parliament building that they have taken over some of the young men guarding that building with batons and other weapons said they said rather die. the leader has said the only way he'll leave is if the entire ukranian government leaves office. that does not look likely. he also he says he wants a re r referendum in terms of them possibly becoming their own government or join russia. and russia has its army poised on the border. and putin has said he's willing to use military force, that they retain that right. many people here believe the russian government is larkly behind the separatist movement saying their special forces people are supporting their separatists, also perhaps even

controlling them. so the ukrainian government is having to walk a very tight rope. they don't want to simply roll over and give back the eastern part of ukraine to russia. there's a lot of minerals, a lot of coal, a lot of money here. a lot of ukranians that we've talked to want to stay part of ukraine. at the same time, ukranian government condition want does a lot of force for fear of giving the russians a pretext to launch that invasion here into ukraine which everyone pretty much agrees if the russians want to take this part of the country by force, they would not have a hard doing that. >> stay safe, leland. >> so there was a deal signed in geneva, but so far nothing has changed in ukraine. is the deal for real? rob peters is a fox news analyst.

lieutenant colonel, thank you for joining us. you heard the report there. they're not budging, they're not moving out of the buildings. the terms of the deal are not being abided by. >> one of the first things a con man learns is that the easiest people to bamboozle are people who want to be bamboozled. and president obama and secretary kerry desperately wanted some kind of agreement that would let them off the hook from actually doing anything. same thing's happened in syria and elsewhere. and the agreement yesterday which we apparently shoved down the throat to the ukranian side was just terrible. if you really read it, it does three things. now, it tells the ukranians that basically they can't use force to enforce the ukranian law on ukranian soil. it gives putin everything. he doesn't have to do anything, he doesn't have to produce anything. and he main types his deny ability.

he can just say the separatists don't -- i can't really control them, they're not really my people. and for the agectivists on the ground, it gives them impunity, amnesty. and make no mistake, this is being run by russia and involves a relatively handful of hard line thugs in eastern ukraine. the will of the people is not to join putin's russia. >> but if the pro russian separatists will ignore the deal which sounds like you're saying this was a deal just put on the table just for the sake of making it look like they came to an agreement and put a deal on the table, then what will give? >> it was a deal for the sake of a deal. but again, the key thing here is that it further pens in the ukrainian government. putin will come town lidown lik hammer if they do try to enforce ukranian law. it was an unimaginebly bad deal. here is the bottom line.

a scary crash in northern colorado involving a school bus and a car injuring three children and two adults. the toyota sedan crushed under the bus. the car's driver taken to theit injuries. there were nine students on the bus. three and the bus driver were taken to the hospital with minor to moderate injuries. colorado state patrol says it's too early to know the cause of the crash. it now appears the feds may be putting together a special task force to handle the ongoing cattle battle against a rancher in nevada. harry reid now says that it's his understanding after talking to eric holder and the fbi that

oxygen into the vessel and they hope to use cranes soon to right the vessel and perhaps move the shape to shallower waters. the slow pace of the search is causing understandable grief to families waiting for news. they have been complaining about lack of pore and also claims there was no order to abandon ship. meanwhile the vice principal as a school where the vast majority of the children came from has hanged himself. he reportedly felt very survivoring. the captain was not at the helm when it capsized. a junior officer was steering the ship when the accident occurred. the captain is facing criticism for apparently jumping in to a rescue boat while hundreds were still on board. arrest warrants have now been issued for the captain and two members of his crew. a lot of the focus of the investigation will be that survivors said they were told to

and it is certainly true every american cannot afford these million and multimillion dollar treatments. my point is it's interesting, if you think of every other industry? americ in america, the person who decides whether they can afford something is the consumer himself. in health care, we're having other people decide that for them. the doctor, the hospital, insurance companies. and that's not fair to people. >> sithere is a scorecard to evaluate drugs based on their value and side effects. american heart association recently announced that they will use cost data to rate the value of treatment. this is not just one instance that we're talking about here. this is widespread change that we're seeing. >> yeah, it's going to be much more universal.

♪ hold onto your hearts, everyone. this baby bear could steal it away. somebody left her on the doorstep of a wildlife center near california's lake tahoe. >> this cutie is only about ten weeks old weighing about five pounds. she doesn't even have teeth yet and is just beginning to walk. >> nobody knows what happened to mamma bear. but the cub was a little hungry and thirsty when they found her. but overall, she's in good condition and has a good chance at survival. it was a california black bear.
