meb keflezigni had the names of all those who died on his bib. thanks, i'm megyn kelly see you tomorrow night at 9:00. welcome to "hannity." tonight, a jammed-packed edition of the show. america, are you ready. tonight, ranch rhetoric heats up. comparing cliven bundy to oklahoma city bomber timothy mcveigh and the leader of the u.s. senate says this. >> nothing more than domestic terrorists. >> and tonight, mr. bundy is here to respond and as president obama prepares to grant clemency to thousands of drug offenders, part one of the hannity investigation inside a stoned
quote
7:01 pm
america and "du"duck dynasty" star, "hannity" starts here and now. cliven bundy and supporters is getting worse and worse by the day, first as the country marked the 19th anniversary of the oklahoma city bombing over the weekend. vice chairwoman of the democratic national committee, donna brazil made this disgraceful comparison after talking about how the feds backed down. watch this. >> that was the right thing to do to try to, you know, simmer things down. remember, this is the 19th anniversary of the oklahoma bombing. so this notion that mr. bundy has no other resource but violence is anti-government violence is absolutely wrong. he's been waged in this battle for two he lost. everybody else is paying grazing fees. he should pay his fees as well. >> comparing bundy to timothy
7:02 pm
mcveigh. >> runners embarked on the first march thathon since the terror attack. >> these people who hold themselves out to be patriots are not. they are nothing more than domestic terrorists. >> unbelievable given the events in oklahoma city and at the boston marathon. we really know what real domestic terrorists look like and that's not cliven bundy and supporters. back to respond tonight is cliven bundy and his sons aman and arden are with us. what is your reaction to being called or compared to the tim mcveigh or the boston bombers, what is your reaction to that? >> sean, i would like to ask your audience, you seen these videos in the last couple of weeks. i want to ask you, who looked
7:03 pm
like the terrorists? who is the domestic terrorists here? did you see we the people with guns or the united states government with guns? harry, why are you acting like this? why, harry, are you calling for a civil war? that's not what we the people want. we just wanted you to disarm your army and get out of our state and start acting like citizens of the united states. that's all we want, harry. >> cliven, by the way, we're putting up pictures. apparently you put on your facebook page or your daughter did, now a lot of these dead cattle of yours and apparently, there were graves dug by blm people. is that true? >> there were graves dug and we have dug into at least one of them and we have found dead cattle in there, yes. >> all right. let me get to the heart of something here because we keep hearing that you owe and everybody says you owe the government money. you owe the government taxes, and you owe the government over a million dollars. i'm trying to get, is that fees,
7:04 pm
fines, penalties, combined? in other words, how much does the federal government say you owe for the actual grazing? because i got some cost estimates today. i want to run through some of these numbers. how much was the original cost they say you owe them? >> well, i don't know. they never send me a bill. i say i owe them nothing, zero. >> okay. you say you never got a bill but you get letter from them and you told me last week you don't open their letters? >> i haven't opened the recent letters. there could be a bill in there that i don't know about. those letters would have cop within the last four or five days. >> i would like to see how they got to a million dollar figure that keeps getting repeated. i want to know if that includes court costs, fines, penalties. how they get to a million dollars, i can't imagine your cattle eat a million dollars of grass, grazing.
7:05 pm
>> just a week or ten days ago it was 300,000 and now it's up to a million. i don't understand that. >> let me ask you this, the documents show the burro of land management paid a utah cattle rang ler $966,000 to collect your cattle with the idea of auctioning them off and the government of utah requested they not come here. is it true the blm spent $966,000 to take your cattle for a million dollar bill that was likely 100 or $200,000 to begin with? >> yes, i do have a receipt or copy of that contact, it was for $966,000. i also understand they spent, had another contract or was going to pay the auctioneer $300,000 and i know they had their army here and they were getting room and board and over
7:06 pm
time pay and pay and all of the things. so i would say if they spend a million dollars on gathering my cattle, they probably spent another two or three million on setting up this operation. >> aman, i guess we are talking about the government fighting over land they don't need for a hospital or road or school and the land is going to be sitting there all the way and all the cows are doing is eating and maybe going to the bathroom on it. they originally said this is about the desert tortoise. this seems to be a total lack of preportionty in this? >> that's hard to understand and you get harry reid to call a revolution or civil war here. i don't understand. how do we get to that point, harry, here? i don't understand that, either, sean. >> they said about major hassan at fort hood was a case of
7:07 pm
workplace violence and calling you and your ranchers domestic terrorists, aman, what is your reaction to this and the money they are paying to round up the cattle and maybe auction them off? >> well, sean, i just want to make sure that we stand that this is a state sovereignty issue. the states have the right to control and govern this land and the federal government doesn't want to give that up. that's what this is about, and that's where we stand. this is state land, and therefore the federal government has no right to fine or to say they can rent this land to anybody within the land. >> so -- >> those issues -- >> there are so many other issues, surrounding the ranch, rounding up the cattle and sending snipers and agents to the tune of 200. arden, let me ask all of you this question, i keep hearing, people are writing me, there is a belief on the ground where you are, the federal government, you
7:08 pm
think there is a plan on their part to kind of surprise you and maybe arrest you. do you believe that's going to happen? arden, we'll start with you. >> well, me, personally, i don't know what to expect now, now that we seen what they have and the power they have of, but i do know that we have militia men here, and they have informed us what could happen. so we're ready for whatever does, but me personally, i know they can do a lot of stuff now that i've seen what they do. >> cliven? your reaction to what you think is coming. >> yeah, i don't know. it seemed like harry is along the side of the civil war. i think he's going to make a lot of noise. i'm calling on the united states congress to pull harry in and straighten him out. i don't think as a congress and
7:09 pm
i don't believe you people want -- would call us terrorists and i don't believe you should allow harry to roam free and loose anymore. his mouth needs to be kept quiet and these people need to do it. it's not my job, it's your job to reign him in a bit. >> we'll continue to do that. thank you for being with us. thank you-all for being here. arden thank you. my next guest, an arden supporter with the bundy family went toe to toe with chris hayes over the bundy substantitand of the feds. watch this. >> if you owe the federal government, chris, do you want them coming to your house pointing guns at your wife and children? is that okay with you? that's not okay with me? >> joining me, michelle is with us. that was a pretty big beat down by you and it went viral. i thought that was the heart of the matter here, whether you agree or disagree here, is this the government's new tactic if
7:10 pm
you owe them money or they believe you owe them money, they surround your home and send snipers and take your property at gunpoint. that's the question in my mind. >> sean, i have to agree with you. thank goodness for camera and video. look what they have done. 250 armed different police agencies surrounding the bundy ranch for cattle, and i think was it really about grazing fees? because if so, as a ceo i don't think i'm going to spend between seven to 10 million to collect a million and the million is still in question, we're probably talking about 100,000, 200,000. i've come under criticism for, you have come under criticism for this. if the government feels like they have a case and gone on in the courts for 21 years, there are things available to them like a lien. i never saw where 200 agents surround a ranch like this and take cattle and digging up dead cattle every day.
7:11 pm
but i want to play these comments by so-called journalist john rolston. we invited him on the program. he wouldn't come on. he's been critical of you and me. >> the kinds of things sean hannity said about things happening in nevada that i'm aware of, this is just the nater for him in terms of taking about things. he's had cliven bundy on and again, bundy and his family are not known for being violent at all but been emboldened by the folks coming down there and turning him into a folk hero and fox news has completely bought into that. they start ominously talking about harry reid's role in this and made up stories, as i said, connecting dots that cannot be connected. so, yeah, of course it's totally irresponsible. >> assemblywoman, i want to apologize for pointing out government over reach, a lack of
7:12 pm
preportion nalty. do you know what the original amount is? i understand they paid $966,000 to round up his cattle for what they claim is a million dollar-bill. how much is that bill? >> exactly. how much is the bail? it's not about grazing fees. i wouldn't take johnny boy, that's what we call him that here in las vegas. i wouldn't take him serious. >> my last and final question is did harry reid himself, when he was on video in march breaking ground on this solar plant, that's 35 miles as i understand it from the bundy ranch, did he get an exception as it relates to the desert tortoise, which was supposed to be the government's foundation in the case for this? >> of course he did. we're talking about prince harry. he did get an exception. >> good news on mbc news. nice to school them in debate. maybe they will learn a little
