5:02 pm
susan rice to go on five sun talk shows and spin the lie that the attack at benghazi was due to a youtube video. it took a lawsuit to get that piece of information, but even caught with its pants down, the white house continued to play the american public for fools with these indefensible comments like these from white house press hack jay con man carney. why was this email not turned over the congress? why wasn't this released? it was directly relevant. why did it take a court case? >> john, i can say it again and again and i know you can keep asking again and again. this do you mean was not about benghazi. >> right. but it's not only president obama who has as ricky ricardo would say some explaining to do, but should hillary clinton

5:05 pm
became immune to the tragedy and fought any attempts to get to the truth as some kind of partisan which hunt, most of the mainstream press ignored the story and the white house even became so bald as to call the entire incident a phone in scandal. president obama, vice president biden, and hillary clinton all look the family members in the eye and promised they would get to the bottom of it. they even said they would find out who was responsible for that little video. maybe that was easier than trying to find out who was responsible for the actual murders and the subsequent lies and covers yups. they knew then and they now the attack wasn't about a video. we once had real newspapers and brawft news outlets that cared about a government lying to the peop people. lying and covering up in watergate ultimatelily resulted in a president resigning and several of his top aides going to prison, but there are big differences between watergate and benghazi. the press didn't look the other

5:09 pm
me, is that an accurate assessment? >> well, you know, i've been out of the cia for many years now but i would expect that there are many good and patriotic people still serving there who are very frustrated at what happened in libya and in benghazi and i would have to say that in addition to the talking points, which the cia did participate in altering, we have to think about the role that not just that agency, but our entire top level of u.s. government organizations and national security, the initial participation in libya in 2011, when all of the above, department of state, department of defense, the white house, the national security council intelligence community all participated and agreed in helping to facilitate the delivery of weapons to al qaeda, the militia's that overthrough
