"hannity" starts right here right now. >> tonight his comments about hillary clinton's health caused an uproar. first, let's explain how this all unfolded. on monday "the new york post" ran a story on page six, the gossip page, karl rove, hilary may have brain damage. despite the fact it was not a direct quote, in typical fashion they wasted no time trying to take down the architect. let's take a look. >> let's start robert and margaret with sharking,
7:02 pm
reprehensible comments from karl rove. >> first of all, may i think that's vaguely sexist. >> just one quick question before you go there house md, when did you start caring so much about the brain fitness of those who have to hold the oval office? >> i got to give him credit, you know, that embodies the old saying consistency is the goblin of little minds. >> this is what i would say of capacity, dr. rove might have been the last person to recognize the president won reelection including the state of ohio, so we'll leave it at that. >> baghdad bob himself is probably the only person that believes his talking points had nothing to do with benbenghazi. here to set the record straight, karl rove. >> thanks for having me. >> i'm sure it bothers you when baghdad carney talks about it --

7:04 pm
stay at home. on the 30th of december she goes to the hospital for routine exam and find a good clot, a 119-word statement and she's released. she's in the hospital for four days. from december 7th to january 7th before she shows back up at the state department. this is serious. so i made two points in my remarks at a conference in california. first of all, this was a serious health incident and if she thinks about running for president, i know people say she's running and made her decision. it's a more difficult calculations. if you turn 69 two weeks before the 2016 election and you had this serious health incident and if you get elected, you'll
7:05 pm
serve, you might for eight years, you'll be 77 at the end of it. you wouldn't be human if you didn't say i had this incident, do i really want to do this? my point was this incident more complicated and contributes to whether or not she should run. my second point, every candidate gets asked for health records and there is a doctor at the new york times for example who is the bayne of every presidential and vice presidential campaign because they want your records and they want to talk to your doctors. pie point was she'll have to deal with this at some point and be more forthcoming. she never let her doctors. dick cheney had a fiblator and in 2001, literally his three doctors had a news conference until the press was exhausted in asking questions. in this instance we only heard
7:06 pm
119-word statement. my point was they will have to be ready to deal with this. does she have brain damage? no, i think she had a brain episode and a concussion and blood clot. that's serious. they say that she has been, that she's completely recovered. i understand today president clinton said that it took her sixth months. that's to be anticipated. this is serious. the left's angst on this and the insults and adjectives and verges, i want to see if they throw them at the new york times and ask her and wins the democratic nomination, the same thing they ask include her husband. >> i don't recall her husband made public the records. >> they did. he released records in 1992, i believe, but in 1996 they tried
7:07 pm
to only put up part of them but finally by october they put out everything and had conversations, "the new york times" excoriated him saying he was the least cooperative of presidential candidates. if they do that, fine. let him say that now. the health records are off limits and nobody has a right to do it but every other presidential candidate since the '70s, i believe, is -- has done this, is this going to be the issue of the 2016 campaign? no. my point is she's going to have to do it, everything else has to. i know you don't like to do it. i can remember the conversations in 2000 and 2004. the mainstream media will demand them and can know the health status of american presidents
