inevitab inevitable. the minimum wage affects the many jobs many of which could be replaced by machines. we saw it years ago, by the way, with bank tellers. now almost everybody uses an atm, and toll takers on the turn pikes now with the easy pass, and we saw mcdonald's experim t experimenting in europe, and at my supermarket, same thing, self check out. it forces the company's hand, and if i can do that cheaper and faster with machines, and the robotic's industry is happy to comply. >> jonas, human technology has been replacing people, and is that such a bad thing?

>> every one of the technologies is improving. you can make the case, really low wages, like some countries have with no technology, and you can make the case that raising the minimum wage could push work offshore, and it's going to happen anyway. when google creates a self driving car, because it's a better technology than having somebody not drive well and play the wrong radio when he is in the car with you. >> john, amazon and other companies say this is not going to stop, this is not going to mean that they are going to fire workers, but will it stop them from hiring workers? our job market is so tepid, so can we afford that? >> they have to afford that. amazon is going to have 10,000

robots in their warehouse. this is going to be inevitable. this is going to be sped up by the minimum wage being raised. we're going to the steam engine that greatly helped the economy. this is a natural transition for the economy. if you add twitter, and you have a $27 billion -- we are creating wellth in the country but not creating jobs. >> take a look at a small business owner, and the wages -- he pays half to go up. he has to look at a way to, you know, deal with his margins, so replacing humans with machines makes sense to them. >> right, it will pay off. when you purchase something you will get your money back on it eventually. we are not losing jobs but

creating different ones, and maybe we should look at the educational system to train them for these jobs, and we need kids to make the equipment so they can replace people, and we need somebody that will make the drone that will deliver wine to my house on a friday night. it's a replacement factor. the kids have created -- what is that? the next kid needs to create the drone for me because that's where we are going. >> sasha, is maximizing the minimum wage, is that going to lead to robotics replacing humans? >> i think, first of all, i don't think raising the minimum wage from $7.25 would be maximizing, and maybe it's more effective, and as tracy said what we have to do is train for new jobs. you didn't have a karma cannic
