is really driving america's economy into the ditch, well, there is an opportunity at the ballot box to make a change. that's what we saw and dave brat ran a great campaign because it was very simple. it was very in touch with the people whom he'll represent. i believe in getting through the general mix and dave brat, he talked a lot about free enterprise and free markets and just the foundation principle about what makes an economy invigorated and vibrant. dave spoke to the people about that and those who are shocked, they really under estimate the wisdom of the people. >> on this program and my radio program i praise rick perky and jindal and walker and nicky hailey and susana martinez. all these people have taken deficits, turned them into surplus and high unemployment and reduced them significantly. complaining about washington republicans, they seem timid and weak and not articulating a

vision. to me, this is bigger than the republican party versus a establishment. this is about all of them. people are sick of the debt, the deficit, ocho bobama care, the they can't put a website together, open boarders, this is about all of these guys failing us, the people. >> there is amnesty because the people realize it will decimate main street, flooding foreign citizens into the country competing for jobs will flat line incomes and create more unemployment. so throw that in there, too. you make a great point, sean, abt governors and mayors conservatives who serve in a more local office, the most responsive and responsible level of government is closest to the people, not this isolated, insulated bubble our congressman and those in the white house are a part of. these governors and mayors who

are held to account because they are so close to the people whom they are serving, they understand that it doesn't have to be a complicated agenda. it doesn't have to be an agenda that could try to -- it shouldn't be an agenda that would pull the wool over any citizen's eyes. be honest with the people about what the state of union actually is, what the debt is going to do to our children and our grandchildren and their opportunities, what these blunlders of national security decisions are resulting in, be honest with the people as these local officials are forced to do. sean, it's also the beauty of those having served in local office to understand how it works. president obama, of course, absolutely nothing on his resume that bodes well for he being in touch with the people. >> governor, let me move on to hillary clinton was on mbc, her chief propaganda network and

claimed that the five released gitmo prisoners, the dream team are not a threat to the u.s. i want to play this for you and get your reaction. >> these five guys are not a threat to the united states. they are a threat to the safety and security of afghanistan and pakistan. it's up to those two countries to make the decision once and for all that these are threats to them. so i think we may be kind of, you know, missing the bigger picture here. we want to get an american home, whether they fell off the ship because they were drunk or pushed or jumped, we try to rescue everybody. >> seriously? she doesn't think they are danger? our own assessment was four of the five 90% chance they go back in the battle field. what is your reaction to that? >> it's probably the one thing that barack obama has said that has been accurate lately and that is, you know, he couldn't deny -- of course there is possibility of they being a threat. it's in their genes and dna,

these radical muslims and terrorists that want to destroy america and allies. they will not go back home and start playing with the, you know, the neighbor terrorists, no. they are out to do harm to america. the comments there, though, not as bad, though, as one of the spokespersons for i believe the state department the other day actually calling these five animals gentlemen. what the heck is wrong with these people in dc in that bubble that is so out of touch with reality. >> unbelievable. all right. let me go to hilary's book which made a lot of news this week. i'll fight it out later in the show, wish you could join me for that. she details the obama campaign's request that hilary go out and beat up on you. i want to play that for you. >> the obama campaign suspected her nomination was an attempt to scuttle hopes of welcoming the woman who had vigorously supported me. they immediately issued a

dismissive statement and reached out to me in the hopes i would follow suit. but i wouldn't. i was not going to attack palin just for being a woman appealing for support from other women. i didn't think that made political sense, and it didn't feel right. so i said no. telling them there would be plenty of time for criticism. a few hours later, the obama campaign reversed itself and congratulated governor palin. >> your reaction, governor? >> team obama has such disrespect for women, it's cool to see proof they are the ones that took the first shot in the so-called war for women. it wasn't the gop. and then obama's administration, agenda that makes women feel less adequate so they wouldn't be dependent to provide for them and make women feel not worthy.

taliban terrorists. take a look. >> i recognize the speed with which we moved in this case has caused great frustration, legitimate questions and concern. we could have done a better job, could have done a better job of keeping you informed. there is also always, always sop risk of the transfer of detainees from guantanamo. this is not a risk free business. have we made other trades with the taliban? >> with the taliban i don't know. >> these are five individuals off the battle field for 12, 13 years. doesn't mean they won't go back. there is risk to the all this. this is not a perfect situation. >> so did the first public hearing on the controversial swap answer any of the remaining questions? with reaction, ran paul, senator, this is the dumbest thing i think i've seen this administration or anybody do. i want to get your reaction to

it and the first thing they told us, we're safe. americans aren't at risk here and then they had to pull back from that like they said bergdahl served with honor and distinction. your reaction? >> here is the short answer he could have told us. he broke the law. you have to notify congress 30 days before you do this. it's not just hagel and not just the president. hillary clinton is now saying that oh, you know what? the taliban is not a danger to americans. that's about as ludicrous of a statement as i've heard but the interesting thing is about one in three of the prisoners that have been released in the past have gone back to committing violence. also, a few years ago we released three people fighting in syria. one of two of them have been killed but for the last several years, three people we captured in afghanistan took to get moe and released are fighting in syria on the same side we're on supposedly. so there is a lot of confusion.

but the bottom line is dangerous people shouldn't be released -- >> but now, it seems that the president decided he wants to empty gitmo because now they made a new assessment and de determined half the remaining prisoners could be released because one showed an interest in having a baby, another one took up yoga and another one wants a milk and honey farm, which by the way is taken i would argue from the koran. they want to empty gitmo. what does that mean for the average american? we'll release every detain knee from the battle field? >> the president seems to think the war is over. hot 't hostility. the problem is the taliban has not decided to lay down arms. in fact, when they got a taliban prisoner back, the response was he is worth 12,000 jihad

fighters. we'll continue to kill american. that doesn't sound like war. this was a huge mistake i think. the only thing i would do differently that would give permanence to this, military tribunal ls, convict the people and give them life sentences or death penalty but give them some sentence. it is a problem we never sentenced them so the president feels like i will empty the prison. if they had a sentence and had been prosecuted, i think it would be a little easier to make the argument that my goodness, we sentenced him, here is all this information. they shouldn't be released. >> i think it's obvious they shouldn't have been released. what is your take on bergdahl himself and his platoon members here on this program all confirming that they knew that he was a deserter? >> well, it really makes you wonder releasing five senior taliban. you're talking about the leaders of the taliban movement and i don't see any justification for it. >> what is your reaction totter

rick cantor defeat yesterday? >> well, i think part of my response is that people are unhappy with the same things going on in washington. they want republicans to be bold. they want us to be for reducing taxes. they want us to be against corporate welfare. they want us to be against raising the debt limit. they want us to stand firm on what we're supposedly for and i think that the gentleman who ran was as much of a, i guess an ascertainment of someone who could carry that towards to forward. >> tonight right here on hannity. >> you could be a -- >> a person dress in leather or something and handcuffs and -- >> oh -- >> planned parent hood caught on tape encouraging girls as young as 15 to sexually experiment with their boyfriends in ways that will probably disgust you.
