you don't have the emails. hard drives crashed. you learned about this months ago, you just told us, and we had to ask you on monday. this is not being forthcoming. they're is being misleading again. this is a pattern of abuse, a pattern of behavior that is not giving us any confidence that says agency is being impartial. i don't believe you. this is incredible. >> i have a long career, that's the first time anybody has said they do not believe me. >> i do not believe you. >> several republicans really grilling him. basically saying the same thing, you know, it appears that you are lying, sir. six is months of emails kept on the server at a time they say this is because they recycle them every so often because it's an expensive thing to do to keep all of them. but, you know, these emails get sent to somebody, don't

they? >> absolutely. >> they aren't just one sided. how long will it take for us to find these emails, we are going to be asking kurt the cyber guy in the next hour. is this something for companies to do this and if it is how hard is it to get ahold of the emails? >> tucker, nobody understands washington better' than you do. they seem to be suitably outraged. sometimes it's effect and sometimes it's a fake but here they are saying you knew five months ago that you didn't have these emails and then you just told us 8 days ago that you didn't have them. and so, it's not full outrage. seemed to be real outrage here. >> i think it is outrage you are a famous lawyer, would that stand up in court. >> no. >> if i get hauled in for irs violation and i say you know what i don't have any records because honestly it's really hard to save

those records. >> no spoliation, means spoiling the evidence and the inference, the implication of that is that you did something wrong. and there appears to be, base on the facts here chairman camp of that committee requested information about audits of people who were donating to a tax deductible conservative organization. and that's when it began. and then shortly after, they lost the emails. >> yeah, they did. >> it crashed. >> by the way, keep in mind people forget. this the context here is a presidential campaign. this was a very hard fought re-election campaign and right in the middle of it, the administration hamstrung the president's political opponents. that's not a political move in the white house had no involvement in that at all? i don't believe it. >> here is another piece in. this not just lois lerner but half a dozen others. one of the seven who had lost these seven somehow made 35 visits to the white

house. and where is the white house on all of this? and is this head of the irs, the commissioner there, is he just a pawn in their game? listen. >> i think the administration came to you singularly as a person as a white knight, as someone, a sterling reputation, someone who has had experience turning around bad organizations. and i think the administration is trading on your reputation. so i think you have made a bad choice. >> in context is so important and i had forgotten this point. this is in the midst of a high stakes political campaign that this all happens. let's hear what jay christian adams has to say. remember him? he is the doj whistleblower. what does he have to say about the credibility of white house involvement or not on these emails? >> it is totally, completely incredible that the white

house was not involved in this. you have people at the white house being visited by irs people. you have academics who are speech regulators coming to the white house. you have all the groups who hate free speech lobbying the white house to do something. and then guess what happens, the irs starts targeting conservative groups. you don't need to be a rocket scientist to what they were up to. >> that's exactly right. keep in mind, again, this had an effect on the presidential election. this is not of academic concern. this had real life consequences. >> it seems to be the pattern. look at benghazi. >> i couldn't agree more. speaking of foreign policy. there is drama as you know on our southern borders as tens of thousands of illegal immigrants from central america pour into the united states. of the united states response so far only 10% of americans approve of this. most are horrified with the president's inability to secure our southern borders.

the response is to send a quarter of a billion dollars to the governments of three central americans company. south america, guatemala, and honduras. what a shake down operation. our government said to their governments maybe get a handle on your borders. we would like a quarter of a billion dollars please and we are sending it to them. >> instead of saying our policies that we put in place that caused all of this to happen were failed policies. listen to stephan camerota, director of research for the center of immigration studies. he basically says the white house is to blame for all of this. >> bottom line is this is caused by obama administration postal. nothing has fundamentally changed in central america. it was a poor chaotic place before and it is now. the word has gotten out. "the washington post" or a.p. hardly immigration enforcement publications. yeah, the word is out, you get permiso, permission to

come. if you cross the border we are not going to send you back. the word is out. >> the message that they sent was the wrong one and they are not really interested at this point in sending the right message. although the message appears to be let's give away a quarter of a billion dollars and some of that is going to solve this problem. >> these are democratic voters by the way. this is the way they look at it he they are enlarging the pie electorally for the democratic party. i mean study after study has shown first time immigrant voters overwhelmingly vote democrat. whether you have tens of thousands, in this case millions of people. half of them will be allowed to stay in this country. make no mistake. you are increasing the size of the democratic party. trust me, i live there that's the way these people think. >> a way of buying votes. >> over the long term it, you win with this strategy if you are the democrats. >> how much taxpayer money are we going to be spending on the increase of crime here? they are coming from central america. they are not used to seeing

without prosecution. they now have 30 years of free eagle killing. joining us to tell us more is senior policy advisor for the organization. steve homer, thanks for joining us this morning. >> thanks for having me on today. >> very confusing this ruling, this exemption. why are wind energy companies allowed to kill bald eagles? >> well, the administration issued a rule last december that changed the five year eagle take permit to 30 years. would he believe this was part of their effort to build we niewble energy in this country, we feel like they have taken shortcuts and the result is not strong enough protection for eagles. we would like it them to go back and do it right this time. >> not just the eagles, high profile bird. all kinds of different birds and also bats which are in deep trouble in this country thanks to white nose disease. this these turbines kill an awful lot of flying animals is there any way to reduce the number they kill?

>> yes, there is we think the most important thing is where you put the wind farms. the sighting is very critically important. putting them near important bird habitats are not the right places and so far we have seen thousands of turbans built in the wrong places. so we do need a better system to try to steer these developments to areas that will have the minimal impact. >> it seems like a double standard. if i'm pheasant hunting or dove shooting and i shoot a bald eagle by accident, you know, i'm in deep trouble. i have committed a crime. i don't get an exemption, yet, if i have a wind farm and i am systematically slaughtering them, it's not a problem? how does that work? >> there is problems created by industry what they call incidental take. accidental killings as a result of this technology. this is an industry that's booming and growing very fast and we feel like the regulatory framework and the wildlife protections haven't simply caught up to that yet. >> wait a second that rule does not apply to me though, if i accidently shoot a bald

eagle, the fact it was an accident is not a defense, it's still a crime. why is it a defense for the wind companies and not for me? >> well, again, i think that they realize that there is some killing of the eagles that simply can't be avoided by the spinning turbans, and we do feel like the companies have a responsibility to mitigate those impacts perhaps by habitat in another location or changing the power lines so eagles don't get electrocuted. the goggle here is not to stop every single killing but to simply make sure the conservation of the species is maintained, that their numbers keep growing. >> yeah, except in my case the goal is to stop every single killing it sounds like politically connected people don't have to follow the laws which is a little bit disturbing. steve homer, thanks for joining us this morning. i appreciate it? >> thanks for having me on. >> a father locked in a custody battle ordered to appear in court. one problem, on submarine serving in the pacific. the judge cessna is no excuse remarkably. ladies, thank you you need a man to hang a picture

protection clause that you proposed. and the senate won't act on it it let's take a look at it. if the court renders a temporary order for custodian responsibility, based solely on deployment, then the court shall require upon the return of the service member, the custody order that was in effect shall be reinstated. why is your proposal so important and essential, congressman? >> our service members should in the be peeblized for serving their country. unfortunately family law courts use the time away of deployment against our service members. when matthew heinz gets back, if the case then goes forward, he is present. he will be at a disadvantage because he served this country and that's not right. fletcher in kentucky fought. this she had her daughter taken away. she said it best. she said under the law when i return you have to give me my job back. i don't understand why you don't have to give me my child back. >> so there is a temporary stay or there should be a temporary stay if the judge is following the law.

you say we need more permanent protections for our service people who are serving in submarines, who are serving in aircraft carriers. who are everybody ising in the persian gulf. correct? >> imagine the stress on our service members. first off, you have a myriad of state laws across the country that don't match. they serve in the national military. there should be a national standard. when they are deployed they know and they have the confidence as to what the law will be and that when they return their custody arrange. s will be honored. unfortunately the uncertainty causes stress across all of our service members. even those not currently in a court case battling for custody they are fearful they could be and be at a disadvantage. >> what advice could you give the judge in weekend as she mulls over what to do in this case in terms of what the law really says about imposing a stay? >> well, she should follow the law. i mean, the judge incorrectly said that the service member should cause the child to be present. the law actually says if the service member can't be present, that they get a stay in the proceedings.

you have that much evidence there has not got to be something there go get it and for obama to say there is not a smidgen of corruption in the irs, destroys his credibility as well as the irs's credibility. >> before the investigation even started. >> he doesn't want it to start. >> the white house seems to be attacking, among other things, the english language. renaming everything. political correctness dominates their world's view. the latest illegal immigrant out on lawful migration. >> you know, once again you can call it anything you want to. this isn't alice in wonderland. this is the united states of america. people are so frustrated with president obama, his handling of the immigration issue is now at a whopping 31% who approve. i wonder who is the 31% who approves of the way he is handling this? our borders are being overrun. you have a humanitarian crisis going on with these children whom i feel very sorry for because they are

being used and exploited. this is absolutely just one of those moments in his presidency that make him look completely ill prepared and inseptember -- inept for the job. >> let's look at another issue that i think will become an absolute scandal. it sounds like a scandal on its face. the administration sending $255 million, quarter of a billion dollars to central american countries for some absolutely incredible things. specifically, for example, $40 million to improve security in guatemala. $25 million for youth in el salvador strowrnl organized crime pressure. almost $10 million to reintegrate people who were sent back to this country. so, we are funding youth programs and crime programs in countries like the honduras when the president doesn't even show up to meet with vice president biden to discuss this issue. that's going to solve our immigration problem?

solving gang violence in honduras. what's this about, governor. >> i would say what the president should be doing is the $250 million that we were going to send there, now we are going to use that $250 million to provide healthcare, food, and we're going to then pay for the gasoline to fill up some c-130s, c-as, load them up and bring them to your capital. we expect to you meet them there and we are going to bring them home so you can take care of them. every bit of it will be charged against the $250 million and, by the way. there won't be another dime coming to your country as long as you continue to exploit these children and push them over the border thinking that you are going to toss an anchor into the united states soil and somehow make it possible to send a whole family. >> wait a second. i mean, the presidents of honduras, guatemala and el salvador said they demanded the united states allow many of these immigrants to stay in this country.

what's their grounds for demanding anything and why do we take that? >> here is another option, tucker. load those planes up, if we are going to keep those kids, load them up with every inmate we have got in our prisons and say okay, fair trade. you take the kids, we will take the inmates. basically dump them out like astro did in 1980 o. which by the way cost bill clinton his governorship. a lot of governors watching this and saying mr. president, i don't want, you know, all of these illegals being brought it my state and warehoused here. i mean, this is just -- first of all, i think it is a horrible humanitarian outrage that these children are being exploited. are we going to take care of those kids and feed them? of course we are. we're the united states of america. we are not cruel. we ought not to be stupid and we are being stupid. >> speaking of kids, have you been looking after a cirksd a child in the state of massachusetts and you have been the leader on this story. tell us what's going on with regard to justina right now.

news. no other television media will hold this administration accountable. until they do, we will see this behavior over and over again because it is most the nature of the habit of tire rants. >> so have you been on the receiving end of all of this. you were targeted, you say, by the irs. how would you have faired if you had adopted this posture, this kind of arrogant back off, i don't need to answer your questions, no, i don't have the records. they are gone. if you had acted that way to the irs, what would have been their response do you think? >> as you know, tucker, you set that up perfectly. every taxpayer knows if you are off on one penny on your estimated taxes, for example, or if you forget one little jot and t on your tax returns they will let you know. let you know with such aggressive form to let you know that you are a criminal and done something wrong. i think something more important here, too, tucker. we would not be in this position today if the speaker of the house, john boehner had adopted the moral courage to set up a

you know, you this test is four pages long. and it's called the sage test. what's the issue, what's the problem with this? is it something we should be be using? two main things about this test gives you three words and then five minutes later asks to you remember the

three words it gave you. and it does you. to take a look at a clock. we have it shown here. and see, is it a normal clock. abnormal clock. really the way a clock looks? i have a problem with this test. i think you could fail this test if you are nervous about taking a test. can you fail this in you are anxious, if you are depressed. if god forbid had you a stroke. alzheimer is a problem with memory and problem with decision-making and recognition and usual behavior. but it's hard to -- to have a test that will tell that you in 10 minutes. whether it's the pharmacy or at home. >> can it be improved or something we shouldn't handle ourselves and we need somebody who is an expert to tell us. >> >> alzheimer's is such a hard diagnosis to make right now. in the end we might actually have a blood test or imaging test. we will get there in the meantime i think he should just watch elderly people and see if their behavior is changing. if so, get them to change their physician. someone sends me a patient like that. i send that patient to an alzheimer's specialist. you can imagine if i can't making that diagnosis how

newspapers and i hear on fox news that we did have a plan to work with iraq but it seemed to fall are a parlt is this too little too late? >> i think it's a step in the right direction. it's not sufficient though to truly address the crisis that we're facing in iraq in terms of security crisis. and i don't think it's sufficient to really address the political investigation where we have to reach out it the sunnis and attempt to rec done sil some of them and put together a coalition government. 300 advisors, i don't think, will convince the parties at play here making a commitment and is serious. >> it's hard to imagine president obama making the commitment necessary to hold iraq together. let's say the current trend continue its and the country splits into three. into sunni, kurd, and shiite. what does that mean for the snus. >> well, i think it's something that we could not permit to stand to be quite frank about it. >> well, what we have to

understand is yes, isis is a terrorist organization. and they used to exclusively, tuck ir, do tafersz attacks. they have seized cities northbound they have a huge swath of land in iraq and also syria on otheir way to establishing a state. a radical islamic state. and that was the dream of the 9/11 al qaeda. they were never able to achieve that because they overreached an attack in the united states. but to be quite frank about it. this will become a breeding ground for a terrorist. this organization is now the face of al qaeda. it is now the most dominant radical islamic force that has ever been established in the region as it grows in size and scale it will threaten not only the region but obviously the neighboring countries to

iraq but also threaten the united states and our european allies. so it is a very serious threat. actually, president obama identified it as a serious threat national security of the united states in his speech. he just didn't talk about what the implications are, why we are so concerned and what are we going to do about it? >> general, the isis leader baghdadi allegedly said to the commander of the camp, when he was released, back in 2009 or so, see you in new york. that seemed to be a pretty explicit threat. will we see these folks in new york and what can we do to make sure we don't see them in new york or washington or los angeles in the near future? >> well, there is some national security experts that think the best thing to do is just leave this situation alone and protect the united states as best we can. i think that's a pretty flawed strategy. i think what has kept the terrorist at bay since 9/11

is the fact that we have been on offense against them. but we have lost sight of the bubble. because terrorist organizations have been growing throughout the middle east. and we haven't been doing much about it this thing began to grow two and a half years ago in syria. and we did not put anything in there to help free syrian army. the only people that fought terrorists before now and iraq is a free syrian army in syria. these terrorists came from iraq. and they found that vacuum in syria and they have exploited it. so what we have to do is stay on offense. we can manipulate here and there now with the iraqis to achieve a political end. but we are -- we will wind up dealing with this terrorist organization. we will eventually have to attack it. we will eventually have to kill it. there is no doubt about it and we will eventually have to wean the support it has right now from the sunni arabs. >> general jack keane thank you for joining us. >> always good talking with you guys.

drones and dogs. we are talking to the california search office. do we have a spokesman on the phone? yes, we do. good morning, thanks for joining us. >> good morning. >> i wonder if you could tell us the latest in the search. we are hearing privately-owned drones delayed helicopter search. is that true, has that been fixed? what can you tell us? >> yes. yesterday we had a problem with a civilian up there operating a small unmanned aircraft and that hindered our search and we had to ground our helicopters while we searched for those people to get them out of there. we have a temporary flight restriction on this operation that allows only our helicopters and our unmanned aircraft to be operated in that area we have some safety concerns. we want to discourage people from coming up there, while their intentions are good and they are trying to help, we

prefer they stay away we have professionally trained rescuers up there searching. >> and mike herdman, a 34-year-old firefighter was with a friend of his and says he last saw mike running down the hill after his dog duke had gone into the creek. tell us what happened. you did find duke but only momentarily. where was that and what information has that led you to believe? >> they spotted duke on wednesday and thursday in the afternoon and tried to corral him, but weren't able to. duke was able to run away. so that indicates to us that he is at least healthy enough to run around up there in the mountains. yesterday animal services came from los angeles city. they are like an animal s.w.a.t. team. they go in there in these technical type situations and actually worked on trying to

coax the dog out and left a humane trap overnight trying to capture duke. we'll find out the results of that in a short while and hopefully have good news on that. we haven't seen any signs of mike. that is problematic. >> along with ventura county sheriffs, there are about half dozen agencies participating in the search, including homeland security rapid response team. how big is this area you are searching? and number two, what about the great shape this firefighter is in? does that auger well for him? he's been missing for about a week or so. >> yes. the area where these men disappeared, our search area alone is roughly 58 square miles. it's a big back country area. there is very difficult terrain back there. from our command post, it's literally two days on foot just to get to where he disappeared, where he was last seen. the issue with the firefighter, he was in excellent physical

condition. my understanding is he participated in triathlons, physically fit. he's been in the back country many times. he's been in this particular area at least four times previously that we know of. he's familiar with it. he's in shape. the weather has been favorable for survivorable conditions. there is water back there in the creek. still potential for survival. our concern is that we haven't seen him. we are operating on the assumption he may be down and incapable of -- he may be injured and inkaupable of getting to our rescuers or signals to us in some way. >> thank you, sergeant. we'll stay in close touch as this story continues. hope and prayers for his safe rescue. thanks for what you're doing. eric buschow, county sheriff's office. terrorist militants killed at least 30 iraqi troops in two

first amendment confusing facts with opinions. well, the scandal over the irs coming down hard on the president's critics during the last presidential election exploded in a series of dramatic exchanges on capitol hill yesterday. check out this exchange. this is between paul ryan, congressman of wisconsin, and the new irs commissioner. >> you are the internal revenue service. you can reach into the lives of hard-working taxpayers and with a phone call, an e-mail or letter, you can turn their lives upside down. you ask taxpayers to hand seven years of their personal tax information in case they are ever audited, and you can't keep six months worth of employee e-mails? and now that we are seeing this

investigati investigation, you don't have the e-mails. hard drives crashed. you learned about this months ago. you just told us, and we had to ask you on monday. this is not being forth coming. this is being misleading again. this is a pattern of abuse, a pattern of behavior that is not giving us any confidence that this agency is being impartial. i don't believe you. this is incredible. >> i have a long career. that's the first time anybody said they do not believe me. >> i don't believe you. >> he hasn't heard governor mike huckabee who was on the show earlier who summarized the outrage over this situation by which thousands of e-mails, critical to this criminal investigation and the congressional investigation, have been lost and destroyed. governor huckabee earlier here on "fox and friends."

>> this is a criminal enterprise. let's be honest about it. what makes this so very, i think, disheartening to the american people, the irs is the only federal agency that operates out of the bounds of the normal constitutional process. they can investigate you, they can charge you, they can punish you, all one stop shopping. there's no check and balance with the irs. no other federal agency can do that. get rid of the irs. it's got to go. this is an outrage to every american citizen. >> the timing on all of this is so curious. we heard in may congress was reassured by the irs t able to the e-mails. poof, they're gone. the way they are explaining this away, is every six months they have to recycle what's on the server because of cost purposes. it also is very curious that it's not just lois lerner's e-mails that are gone. this hard drive crash happened to half a dozen others. one of those seven people on

that list happened to make 35 visits to the white house. a lot of fingers pointing at the white house. >> knew they were gone in february but didn't say until eight days ago. >> try when the irs asks you for your records during an audit. >> they disappeared somehow. >> meanwhile, the president spoke yesterday to the mexican president. obama called the mexican president about the humanitarian crisis, immigration crisis on our border, on our southern border. tens of thousands of immigrants from central america streaming from mexico to the united states. obama under a lot of pressure to respond to this. during their conversation, guess what the president never mentioned, not one time? the u.s. marine being held unfairly in a mexican jail in squalor tied down to his bed and the president never mentioned it with the president of mexico.

quarter past the hour. you heard about the 300 american military advisors heading into iraq right now. what you may not know, none of them will be eligible for combat pay. >> this comes as the department of defense announces imminent danger pay cuts to 22 areas around the world. >> how does this move affect military members and their families? >> joining us is 2014 affirmed forces army spouse of the year rita hicks. her husband just returned from a ten-month tour from afghanistan. how are you? >> good morning, i'm great. thanks for having me. >> let's talk about the significance and hurt imposed by losing $7.50 a day in imminent hazard pay, including the people that are in the persian gulf now aboard ships and getting ready to fly jets towards iraq.

tell us the effect. >> i think you have two different kinds of effect. one is direct, obviously you are talking about $250 a month to families for whom that $250 a month really makes a huge difference. especially when talking about junior enlisted families who don't make a lot of money, talking about a car payment or groceries. more importantly, this is a huge morale issue. what we are telling our service members is that we are sending them to foreign countries away from their families, away from the safety of being within their own country's jurisdiction, and we are telling them the value of that sacrifice is less today than it was yesterday. >> that sacrifice you are talking about is potentially their life, right? your life is not worth today what it was yesterday. what are the long-term effects of this morale crisis there? >> well, i think there are a couple. one is we are an all-volunteer

force. if these benefits continue to be chipped away, what that looks like is we are a country that doesn't value the sacrifice of people who raise their hands and are willing to go. so i think that's going to result in a retention issue over the long term. the bigger issue is the fact this is one in a series of cuts we have seen over the course of the last year just chipping away at military families' benefits. again, they are all volunteers. they don't make a ton of money, particularly our junior enlisteds. they have families. they have to think about, is this right for my family long term? i love my country, but can i continue to sacrifice when this is the way i'm treated? especially because when you are talking about imminent danger pay in particular, $250 a month per soldier in terms of the defense budget is nothing. in terms of those families is significant. >> in terms of the defense budget, we know the u.s. pushed the folks there.

they will get hazard pay. the defense department is talking about $108 million. as a spouse, as someone part of the great american military family, do you believe that we are balancing our american budget on the backs of the people who we should be rewarding, who we should be compensating in a way that is commensurate with the risks they take? >> yes, i do. i think the course of discussion over the last year made it very clear that the place where defense is interested in cutting is its people. we are basically telling the people in the military to be willing to sacrifice when other portions of the budget aren't being touched or aren't being affected in the same way that individual people necessary to national security are being treated. absolutely that's true. that's why you see phenomenons where you have so many military families and veterans organizations coming to say

over 47,000 children have been caught crossing into this country illegally since october last year. texas governor rick perry is taking matters into his own hands using texas funding to support border operations. joining us now is the man supporting governor perry's move, greg abbott. thanks for joining us this morning. >> my pleasure. great to be with you. >> thank you. what is texas doing that the federal government should be doing? >> well, we are doing the thing the federal government is supposed to do, and that is stepping in to secure our border. what's happening is the border patrol agents on the border here in the state of texas are overwhelmed by hundreds of people coming in every single day. these border patrol agents are

having to change diapers, herd children into these shelters. we are having cartel activity across the border importing horrendous crimes to the state of texas, so the state of texas is sending our department of public safety down to the border, conducting what we call a surge operation for the remainder of this calendar year to make sure that we can stop the crime at the border and not let it import into the state of texas. >> that is scary, not to mention the cost to your schools and hospitals and law enforcement. has the white house contacted you on this? >> first i reached out to the white house and tried to contact jay johnson, director or secretary of homeland security, trying to get them to pay for this surge and to get them to better secure our border. i know governor perry has been in contact directly inviting president obama to meet with him on the border next week. we are getting nothing but

silence from washington, d.c., and yet, yesterday the vice president was in central america working with the central american countries from which these children and families are coming, guatemala, el salvador, hon d honduras, offering them money, but not giving us money to secure our border. >> we are sending billions of dollars to central america to buy their cooperation but not sending the money to texas. what is the motivation here? the administration almost seems like it's in favor of illegal immigration. do you think they are, and if so, why? >> tucker, this is completely a human-made disaster. if you recall, the president two years ago stood in the rose garden and basically said there would be deferred action for children who were here in the you'd of america, deferring their deportation.

it has been since that two-year period, there's been this tremendous influx from central america. the word on the street, and we had people who cross the border and walk up to the border patrol agents and turn themselves. in the border patrol agents are asking why they are doing this? they said because they heard in honduras, in el salvador, in guatemala that they could come to america and their children would be able to stay here. so this has been an operation that occurred because the president basically swung open the doors and created a big invitation for these people to come here. so this is all caused by the presidential action. >> maybe the white house would like to see the population of texas change? if texas goes blue, becomes a democratic state republicans cannot do you think that might be a consideration here? >> it's beyond my comprehension about why the president would do this.

hey, everybody. it is the first day of summer and with the cost of meat skyrocketing the price of the

backyard barbeque is heating up. >> but there are ways to cut back on the costs, and here to show us how is master beef consultant for master purveyors. how are you? >> good. >> and we have been drawing a a crowd, because it is wafting down 6th avenue, and beef is up across the board, but it is everything, chicken and turkey and fish and everything. so what have you got for us to show off? >> well, again, you have some cuts that people are not very used to using at the grill. one of the first ones that the people i tell them is for the brisket. for the winterer holidays people on the east coast don't think of putting it on the grill, because they view grilling and barbequing as the same time. grill iing is intense cooking a barbequing is low smoldering indirect heat which is what the brisket is, and in the midwest, you can't win a barbeque contest without a brisket. it feeds a crowd and in the summer, the cheapest price. >> why? >> because it is a holiday

winter eitem in popularity, and so as everybody is getting the steaks, there are two briskets every time there is a steak. so the briskets stack up and you get them at a great price for the barbeque. >> and what size brisket would that cost on the market? >> $4 to $5 a pound. >> well, that is not bad. >> and is that the same thing as london broil? >> well, that brisket would be different and i have the top round london broil which is one of the best roast beefs, because when you slice it on the slicer, it is tender. it is a dense piece with a lot of flavor. you need marinade and this is the cheapest cut all summer long. >> cheaper than the brisket? >> $2/pound. and one of the most expensive cuts in summer, what should you stay away from? >> the new york rib steaks and the rib steaks and the spare ribs. i have four country style rib ends, and that is the meatier

than the normal ribs. >> those are enormous and i don't see those in restaurants. >> well, you need to marinade them for the tenderness and marinade 24 to 48 hours. people think a couple of hours, but the dense pieces need a longer time and throw it in a zip lock bag and throw it in the refrigerator and then have it the next day. phenomenal. >> and what about these pattys? >> these are turkey burgers. >> yes. >> and they are very good and so are chick en and the thing is that you to freeze the turkey burgers. >> and you to mix it with half dark and white meat. >> yes, and i dice in some onions and peter luger steak sauce and it will stay on the grill and look like a burger and evoke the taste of a burger.
