>> new fallout on hobby lobby. supreme court ruling that family owned companies can limit birth control and their obamacare health plans. if using them would violate their religious beliefs. both parties seeking to turn the landmark decision to their advantage. republicans hailing it as a vibtry for religious liberty and a slap as what they call an overreaching white house. democrats wasting no time using hobby lobby to raise fresh campaign contributions. and the white house calling on congress to take action on a ruling it says endangers women's health. >> president obama indicated that he should make personal health care decisions for themselves rather than their process deciding for them. today's decision jeopardizes the health of women employed by these companies. we will work with congress to make sure any woman affected will have the coverage of services like everyone else. >> two democratic senators facing re-election challenges in
9:02 am
red states quick to denounce the ruling. a woman's health care decisions should be between herself and in consultation with her doctor. we'll continue to fight to protect all rights to privacy and that includes a woman's right to make her own health care decisions. and senator hagen, quote, it is shameful that a woman's access to contraception is even up for debate. the choice whether she used birth control should be between a woman and her doctor, not her boss and no employer should be allowed to interfere with a woman's access to contraception. but they're looking to rehash their attack on the g.o.p. war on women. may want to watch out for the former g.o.p. senate candidate and hewlett-packard c.e. to help republicans win back the senate by confronting dems on that line of attack. >> we have to combat this with the facts which is part of what unlocking potential is all
9:03 am
about. women are half the great nation. we are 53% of the voters. we care about every issue. every issue is a woman's issue. >> seems that the republicans think this hobby lobby ruling is going to work in their favor. the democrats think it's going to work in their favor. who is right here? >> i wish the democrats would read the opinion and not be so hysterical. this wasn't overturning row -- row versus wade. they are misstating the ruling and the law here. as a lawyer i take issue with that. this is a narrowly tailored decision to closely held corporations and it was just really focused objection by hobby lobby to four of the specific board of fashions. that's like once it's implanted for it then to be released by taking these pills so they were very specific about that and it wasn't that women don't have
9:04 am
access to other birth control. they do. so they're probably going to be other cases coming forward where, yeah, both sides may try to expand the reach of this ruling. >> without a doubt we can all agree that this is going to shape the runnup to the november elections. >> this is what democrats love to do. they love to use a false issue, which is a bogus one to force false negative. yesterday we saw the white house, sandra who is famous saying that now employers can take away women's right to contraception. that is absolutely absurd and completely false. hobby lobby offers 16 different forms of contraception to their employees through their health care plans. they've done it for a very long time. they're going to continue to do it. we're talking about them limiting four of them which some can argue is not really contraception. they believe it's abortion which is a valid point. on the second point of them claiming this is a war on women as if they have a monopoly, the beckett fund which represented
9:05 am
hobby lobby, female attorneys. business women fought for the case issuing briefs to the supreme court. this is about women running non profits so this idea that it's a war on women is not true and you have women going as far as the white house saying this is about a boss taking away contraception. it's the opposite, completely opposite and they're lying about it to get votes. >> i want to get your take on this. we have reaction, fresh reaction from hillary clinton on the hobby lobby ruling. take a listen. >> we're always going to argue about abortion. it's a hard choice and it's controversial. i want people to make their own choices. it's very troubling that a sales clerk at hobby lobby that needs
9:06 am
contraception which is pretty expensive is not going to get that service through her employer's health care plan because her employer doesn't think she should use contraception. >> that's a lie. >> hobby lobby is going to provide 16 forms of contraception. >> it's about $9 a month at c.v.s. she's acting like hobby lobby all of a sudden is telling these women that work for them to wear a werka or something like that. if someone said my bob is not buying me a gun. he's denying me my second amendment rights. having access to contraception is not in the constitution. hillary clinton, this is her bread and butter, how she'll try to win the white house. this is what she needs to go do. she needs the single lady vote. obama won single ladies by 76% last time and made up a quarter of the elect orate.
9:07 am
they depend on government because they're not depending on their husbands. they need contraception, health care and they love to talk about equal pay. >> that's something that really struck me and you guys saw us off camera react to this. i could almost hear the p.r. person for the book sales say you have to get in "hard choices" there. we started with the key issue in all of this and democrats cannot runway from this. critics period cannot run away. and that is the fact what we're left with are like a part b or these are post conception drugs that people have a religious exception to. they post what they say existing life drugs. to them it's taking a life. so you can still get your hands on the drugs but somebody else is going to have to pay for them. now the big question is, who somebody else have to be? you can argue all across america, if you're the taxpayer, maybe it offends your religious beliefs as well. can you just pass on the costs now to the taxpayers? that's one thing.
9:08 am
the other has to be, what are we doing right now? talking about something in obamacare that doesn't work for millions of people. they've got to change the topic. >> that's right. and the senate minority leader, mitch mcconnell, used this ruling to call obamacare the single worse piece of legislation to pass in the past 50 years. it seems that both sides are really going to use this heading into the midterms. whose strategy is going to win? >> i think it depends on how republicans handle the war on women act. we saw in 2012 that republicans did not handle that well. they ran for it instead of addressing it head on. they'll have to address it just like harley is trying to do and they'll say exactly the things that i lined up. this is not about a war on women. a lot of women support the hobby lobby case. you have to debunk that narrative right away and move on to other issues like the economy and how obamacare has increased the premiums of young women by 100% even though it was supposed to decrease their premiums. >> republicans can run on this.
9:09 am
democrats say they can but so can republicans. >> i think the way you want to frame this issue as obamacare is a debacle. this is an unintended consequence and it's illegal in the supreme court. number two, this is strangling small business owners. you're basically forcing people to pay for the sex lives of their employees and it's an attack on religion, catholics especially. if i was a republican, i wouldn't want to talk about contraception at all. we wasted the entire spring talking about birth control when they should have talked about the economy. >> they don't even need to engage in it in a certain sense. let the democrats put up this false rhetoric, the false narrative trying to scare and panic people with facts that simply aren't there. they're flat out inaccurate, erroneous, bye. i look at the numbers. the numbers like the economy and jobs, like whether or not this economy is going in the right direction and making those kind of choices. somebody should be put in that
9:10 am
has a firm grasp how to make money. >> even with this issue, you could run on it with it's a freedom of conscience. it's a freedom of expression issue and you win on all accounts with that because it's not just about religion. >> speaking of jobs, kimberly, do you ever feel like you're in the wrong job? like you just don't want to be there? you don't belong? >> don't answer, anybody. it's a setup. >> wait until you hear how many americans say they want to change their careers and it's not just people who are starting out. also a kissing congressman now thinks he will seek re-election even after a surveillance camera caught him smooching with a staffer who is not his wife. we'll look at politicians who have bounced back after sex scandals and those who haven't, of course. we'll ask why. 9:15 am
even those in their 60s still say they're searching for a job they love. my question is, as we look at the numbers are we raising a generation of babies? shouldn't you be happy to have a job? >> yes. and i think the more jobs, the merrier. i love jobs. i've always been like that. >> you're a fan. >> you give me one job, i'm like, okay. where is the next job? i love it, love it, love it. i could have three jobs at once. i don't understand. >> i'm with you. >> it's like recession proof. >> i got ya. i would guess you're the most recent college grad here on the college. but i'm curious because you probably would have started this job search right out of college with the mindset that i want to find what? what means success to you? something that means you happy or just having a job?
9:16 am
>> i think just having a job is success but i also believe in saying that if you have a job you love, you never work a day in your life. i think people's attitudes are what matter. i've had a lot of different jobs in my life. luckily i'm in one that i love right now and i've been blessed that way but i also know a lot of people who graduated from college who just stayed at home with mom and dad because they couldn't get the job they wanted instead of just going to work. >> art history major probably. >> unemployment rate in this country is 19.2%. okay? significantly above the national average. so as you started out saying, you're just happy to have a job. well, you're not the norm as we're learning from the study. people will move around. nobody is going to be happy with their jobs unless they're making billions of dollars and sitting on the beach. >> that's not what it's all about. i was thinking we could lose our jobs at any moment being on television. we could say something stupid and not have a job tomorrow.

9:18 am
the grass is always greener, it seems, for some people. but there's this trend with people leaving jobs before they really even have the next one because they want to be happy. >> that's not hard. >> i would try to have as many jobs when i was young as possible. i've been fired from a few jobs and that's a good thing. you want to have as much experience as you can. i don't know if you want to tell everybody that you do what you love, love what you do. that's okay to a certain extent but if you love dancing, i'm not saying you want to be a stripper. make sure you're doing something you're good at and get paid a lot. a lot of guys work on wall street. >> i'm about to get fired. let it go. >> i stopped asking questions. >> if you marry well, you don't have to worry about your job. >> i'm going to hit you. >> after that performance, i'm going to hook you up with my old tupperware boss. i used to sling tupperware, let me tell you. love that job. kissing congressman is not giving up after a scandal that

why is it the nuns' duty to approach the club and say you're violating state zoning laws here. let the state handle that. >> these nuns are not protesting or objecting to what's going on inside the club. they're objecting to what's going on outside the club. it's the drunks that are wabderring around, it's the noise, the bright lights that are interfering with their way of life at the convent. they're not objecting to the strippers. >> not that we know of. i'm sure if they were canvassed they would tell you they wished it weren't happening because as kimberly pointed out, sex after marriage and in the privacy of your own home is what they would hope for but they have a legal ground. the other thing they're doing in their neighborhood, though, and it isn't just about them. you mentioned there's so many strip clubs in a town that has fewer than 5,000 people. you have a strip club like every 850 people, you have a -- >> and another grocery store z. they're also advocating for the

young children in the neighborhood. they built it next to a residential area. and they're advocating for the young people who might be able to see this from their own front porches so it's not just about them. they're also looking out for neighbors. >> and i do think the nuns are going at it from a wrong way. they're protesting outside the club. if the nuns went inside the club, hear me out, no guy would go in the club and do a lap dance with a nun sitting right there. okay? that would drive business out of there. that's what would shut it down. >> good idea. >> you go into a strip club if there were nuns outside holding candles, wearing their garb? >> depends on how much i had to drink but i definitely wouldn't stay if they were inside. this is a missed opportunity. they should use this opportunity of all these damaged souls, coming into the neighborhood next door -- >> and save them? >> convert them and save them. maybe bring them in, see if they
