areas. we have maximum sustained winds at 60 miles per hour. once they reach 74 miles an hour that's when it would be a category 1 hurricane. we have tropical storm watches along central east central florida cape can naval, melbourne and vero beach and fort pierce are expected to experience gusty winds potentially over 40 miles per hour at times. computer models take the storm system parallel to the coast of the united states. there are some that bring it on shore across parts of north carolina. there's a chance we could be looking at land fall along parts of the outer banks of north carolina. that's what we are looking at now. the center of the storm system expected to do that by friday 2:00 a.m. it could have maximum sustained winds at 35 miles per hour. as the storm system moves northward take a look at this. friday night 4th of july parts of the northeastern united

land fall from this storm system. it is pretty compact off in the coast of florida. we are seeing showers moving on shore but overall most of the rain is remaining out over open waters. the big concern is going to be beach erosion and also very rough surf out here. we have tropical storm watches along melbourne and cape canaveral and fort pierce. we had tropical storm advisories for myrtle beach wilmington and nags head. we have the hurricane watch that has been issued. you are included. the track does take arthur over the next 24-hours could be a category 1 hurricane. the forecast is parallel to the coast of the southeastern united states. east of charleston east of jacksonville and friday 2:00 a.m. we could be looking at land fall across parts of the

in speed and strength and it's heading north and right now it's off the florida's coast to the east. good news for floridians because we're not going to see the worst of it. what we're going to see is heavy rains and winds picking up because of outer bands hitting us. it's going to be rainy, windy, breezy and gusty. the major concern for floridians are beach erosions and rip current. in particular in vo lieu shah county they performed 21 beach rescues. they are supposed to last like this through the holiday weekend. they are going to have 80 operating towers out here, portable towers. if you come to the beach and you're in florida, if you intend on going into the water, keep an eye out for red flags, keep an eye out for life guards and stay with them. they're concerned you may get caught up in waves and rip current and there is
