amounts of heat with high temperatures climbing to about 100 degrees in some of the areas across the plains. the concern isn't the actual temperatures. places will be feeling like 190 degrees even though forecast highs is 100 degrees. we have a number of heat advisories through the states of iowa down to texas. the good news is that we are going to see some cooler air moving southward kansas city for instance looking at highs by tomorrow only in the upper 80's. that's a big improvement and the cooler air will continue to move southward. taking a look at chicago in the middle 70's as we head into tomorrow. cooler air moving southward. we have concern for showers and storms across portions of the midwest and also the southeast. that could produce travel delays across the midwest including cities like chicago parts of northern missouri, iowa. you could be looking at severe weather, damaging winds, large hail being the main concern with isolated tornadoes possible.
