christianity under attack tonight. violence and threats facing christians in iraq. pleas for help falling on deaf ears around the world. will and can anything be done before christianity as we know it is wiped out? with me now, fox news contributor, john bolton. can the united states help protect christians in the middle
1:16 am
east? >> i think we can and i think we should. the threat that you have described and were just talk about comes from a particular kind of ideology. it's a radicalized version of islam that is thee logically extreme but has an important political dimension to it as well and it's opposing this kind of ideology that i think is important but as of now on which the united states is showing no leadership at all. if anything many of our policies actually seem sympathetic to this ideology or at least unwilling to opposed and the signal that sends obviously is very negative for the christians, for smaller sects of muslim populations and for anybody else who gets in the way. >> and when you say signals, ambassador are you referring to the obama early withdrawal from iraq or supporting the muslim brotherhood specifically?
1:17 am
>> those are two good places to start. one of the reasons that keeping american forces in iraq would have been a smart thing to do would have been to contain this sectarian conflict and give iraq a chance to knit itself together as a functioning country, opposing the muslim brotherhood in egypt would have sent a signal that we don't believe that groups like that are legitimate participates in a democratic process. you can go on and look at radicalized terrorist groups in syria and yemen and in north africa but the administration has not taken a stand against them. and we are seeing the consequences of that now certainly with isis and syria and iraq. >> ambassador you are very familiar with the role of the militants and what they are capable of. is it their intent to eliminate
1:18 am
christianity from the middle east but do you think they are capable of accomplishing that especially given the fact that nobody seems to be doing anything? >> i think their odds of success are increasing. this is not an ideological movement in the sense that communism was all flowing from the maxist ideology written by one man. it's much more of a force in differing respects in differing countries but it's all united by the same basic radicalized form of islam and its intense hostility to the west and our values. and that's why i think it's important to recognize this ideology and take steps against it. i think there are many muslims in the region who would stand with us if they thought we would be there for the long haul. so the chaos deepens because of the lack of american leadership. >> and not only that for those muslims, i mean, some of them
1:19 am
felt not to be, you know, extremist enough, are being killed enough. the sunnis are killing the shia muslims in iraq and in this isis state. but let's move on to this -- to our embassy in tripoli evacuated today, americans told to get out of libya. what is going on there? >> libya has descended into chaos. that was predictable after the west helped overthrow ga dafy as his aid said leading from behind he turned his back on libya. and the central government lost control over much of the country. that is one of the reasons for the murder of chris stevens on september 11th, 2012 and the violence and anarchy has continued to spread. it's the right thing to do to pull people out of the embassy. that's one of the sad, tragic lessons from september 1 isth. but when the united states turns
1:20 am
its back and doesn't try to protect its own interests this kind of chaos can spread. and i think, again, the possibility of this disease spreading throughout the middle east is growing. i think the entire region is becoming less stable. we can see it all over not least of which is in gaza today. you can see the rise of sectarian and eth nick tensions and every prospect is it's going to get worse as long as the united states doesn't pry try to protect its friends and allies and own interest. >> that vacuum you speak of also occurred in egypt after the overthrow of mubarack. who comes in? morsi. what a mess that was. coming up a coptic christian priest on the persecution of christians. what can be done to help. and are christians worldwide in danger from these radical
1:24 am
christianity is under siege not only in iraq but across the whole middle east. the ascension of the muslim brotherhood to power in egypt led to a massive persecution of christians there. with me now coptic priest anthony hannah. coptic christianity began in the 1st century in egypt. you witnessed the revolution of 35 million egyptians, mostly muslim overthrow the muslim brotherhood president morsi. but why would a country with 80% muslims overthrow the muslim
1:25 am
brotherhood? >> thank you for inviting me to your show. and i'd like to say egyptians by nature are very moderate people. i came to america like 27 years ago. but the time before that when i used to live in egypt we used to live like in the common land, share everything and have no problem. i graduated from a college of engineering and then my colleagues come to my house and spend the night study together, eat together, go out together, we have no problem. and this problem started when they started this radical group spread all over the middle east. and mainly the brotherhood because in the time of sadat he released some of them from jail and gave them freedom to do just anything to oppose communist in the country. when they started to get stronger, they killed him. when mubarack came he started
1:26 am
playing between the two sides and finally they planned this general evolution and the evolution in january was really good evolution but was hijacked by the brotherhood and end up being the case in morsi's time as we have seen before. >> right, right. so the egyptian people stood up. the muslims stood up and said we don't want the muslim brotherhood. >> i took 1200 pictures during the revolution in june and i was touched by even people like ladies veiled and grabbing my hand and telling me father would like have to have a picture with you to say we are united against the brotherhood. >> let me move on a little bit here. now, people say that islam, the quran requires a killing of an infew dell and some say it is a
1:27 am
peaceful religion. does the quran require the killing of the infidel or is islam peaceful? >> it depends how intrepid. some people think christian are infidel and some think they are not. that is the whole thing. that is why the moderate person, the moderate muslim person really understand the quran in a good way in the light of the country but the other person just look at it from a political point of view and you know -- >> it's the definition -- >> become more violent. >> it is the definition of infidel. i believe you have photos here, specifically having to do with the destruction of churches, of a particular church. we are looking at what here, father? >> right. >> this is a fourth century
1:28 am
church that was destroyed and i understand also that the brotherhood destroyed -- vandalized a priest cemetery for the last 150 years and they got the bones of the priests from coffins, crushed them and set them on fire and this is what is left of the priests bones. >> exactly. >> who is behind isis, father? >> the muslim brotherhood. that's the picture of the buildings and you see that. and the priests there told us, the people attacked the church and did all this damage. they are muslim brotherhood and proud of it and prayed in the church that the brotherhood is coming and you can't escape from that. and we have witness for that. and then isis is doing the same thing. >> all right, father. >> it's like the demagoguery. >> i'm so sorry. i'd like to continue this conversation. thank you, father hannah for being with us this evening.

now back to "justice with judge jeanine." >> breaking tonight, israel offers hamas a 24 hour ceasefire stating they will continue to dmolic hamas tunnels and respond to anyfire from gaza. hamas rejected the offer. with me senior visor to president obama, clinton, and george h.w. bush. it's good to have you here. we have a 12-hour ceasefire and hamas bombed and then rejected 24 hour ceasefire. what is going on and is there any chance of a ceasefire here? >> i do think there is a chance for a ceasefire. the question is how soon? and under what conditioned? from an israeli stucht the
1:34 am
critical situation is they have to be able to destroy the tunnels which amount to being a loaded gun at their head. the tunnels are much wider, much deeper, much more expansive than the israelis understood and they all come out in areas within israel in populated areas, villages, from their standpoint, this goes on until they are able to destroy the tunnels. i think hamas itself will probably look for a way out simply because there will come a point where the amount of rockets they have left they will, in fact be very careful about not wanting them all to be depleted. >> one of the things that appears to have taken the israelis by surprise was the number of tunnels that are there between gaza and israel. how did that happen? >> you know, one thing that happened clearly, is that hamas was able to build in a way that surprised the israelis, number one.
1:35 am
number two, they got a lot of the material through the smuggling tunnels but it also appears that many of the materials that were sent into gaza to be supervised and monitored by the u.n. exclusively for certain kind of building was diverted by hamas for its own use again to build this kind of underground set of tunnels to protect their rockets, to protect their leadership and carry out attacks into israel. >> there are those who say in reference to what you just said, you know, president obama had promised money for technology to israel that would identify the building of tunnels. if israel would allow concrete, iron, cement, and ammonia to be allowed into palestine if they lifted the ban and what we're seeing is the result of that, it appears that that was to israel's detriment to allow for the lifting of that ban. >> i think you go back to 2012 when the ceasefire was con
1:36 am
clutded and the israelis agreed to the terms at that time. it was brokered by the egyptians at that time. clearly now when they look at the reality they're facing they obviously are going to take a very different view as to the kind of monitoring that would be required and who would do it on any materials that would go into gaza. to be fair at a certain level, the israelis understand as well the people of gaza have to be able to live. the question is who is concerned about the welfare of the people living in gaza? hamas puts that in the least bit of their considerations. they put being able to wage war against the israelis as their top consideration. >> what do you think as kerry is pushing for this truce, what do you think it will take, if israel says, look, we agree to a ceasefire but only if, you know, we can continue to go after and find those tunnels, i mean, hamas isn't going to agree to
1:37 am
that. >> i think the key putting your finger on what is the essential question right now. from the israeli standpoint they have to have sufficient time to be able to ensure that they have found and destroyed the tunnels. these are not tunnels that you know, are 50 meters long. these are tunnels that are several kilometers long. so it takes time to destroy these kind of tunnels. many may be bobby trapped with ambushes built in. it has to take time and done with care. from an israeli standpoint they will accept a ceasefire once they have destroyed this. they still want assurances to not be in a position where this can be easily rebuilt. hamas wants to point to openings of crossings but these don't relate only to israel. so at the end of the day, the key arbiter may be egypt to produce an outcome. >> and it's interesting because
1:38 am
egypt was very concerned about some of those tunnels from the sinai and protecting egypt and i would think that they would work with israel as well. thank you so much for being us with this evening. >> my pleasure, thank you. >> joining me now, former israeli deputy defense minister who joins us live from tel aviv. you say secretary of state kerry's quote seems disconnected from reality why do you say that? >> good night, judge, we see secretary kerry come and go and push the prime minister for a ceasefire. and he lives in an imaginary world. you don't talk with hamas. you fight with hamas. you do not beg for a ceasefire you make hamas to beg for a ceasefire and should not put israel at the same level as hamas. i would say that you and al qaeda are at the same level.
1:39 am
we need to fight with hamas and it will take time. there are dozens of tunnels beneath the border. it will take time, a week, a month, a year, we need to fight with the hamas and secretary kerry should allow israel the time to make sure we live safely. now is in europe and tomorrow in washington. but we will stay here with the hamas. we will stay here with the tunnel. that's why i think we should be allowed to do what needs to be done with hamas. >> you know, since you don't know -- or israel does not know exactly how many tunnels there are. and they say they are like cities, some of them we don't know how long this is going to take, correct? >> correct. but let me ask you, judge, were to tell you now there are doesenings of tunnels coming from mexico into arizona and al qaeda forces are getting ready to attack u.s. cities. what would you say? as long as it takes we will take care of it.
1:40 am
that's what we are telling the prime minister do the right work with the hamas and fight the hamas as long as it takes. otherwise we will see hamas taking over jewish communities and kidnapping kids back into gaza. >> what do you say about the killing of civilians is doing as a result of what israel is doing. i know you say that hamas is putting their military, their munitions whatever in civilian areas. but how do you justify that? >> i think i don't need to justify it. everybody knows it's clear. look at the last 24 hours. we accepted a humanitarian ceasefire because it's a muslim holy day. but they are not accepting it. we opened the hospital on the border with gaza to help the palestinian who are wounded and the hamas is shelling the same hospital. everybody knows that hamas is using its own people. it is a pity. but they are captured by the hamas and we have to protect
1:41 am
ourselves. >> and you say you can't trust the international community. especially since the missiles are found in the u.n. schools in gaza and then, hamas ends up with more missiles. where are they getting the missiles from? >> well, frankly speaking, the u.n. is a joke, judge. they are condemning israel. and at the same time look at what is happening in their own facilities, in schools and u.n. facilities, hiding the missiles for years. they took missiles from sinai. they smuggled them. we left gaza nine years ago. there have no jewish communities or settlements. they were ready for the next conflict. and instead of building a society, they made it into afghanistan in the middle east and we have to realize after we end this conflict they will get ready for the next conflict. that's why we have to do the military work as we speak. >> are you saying that the u.n.
1:42 am
is complicit with hamas or -- and corrupt or saying that the u.n. is just inept? >> i think they are incapable. they want to have a ceasefire. they want to have peace in the region but it's they are not connected to the reality. they will go back to new york to the u.n. building and have another session and committee and they will condemn us again. we know about. that but in terms of fighting with the hamas, not allowing them, using the cement for tunnel, not allowing them using the metal for missiles, they are not capable of doing it. >> very quickly now, what do you want from the international community? >> i think they have to make it very clear that we cannot continue like that. we cannot continue in a situation that will be more rockets in gaza and more tunnels. i think we should look at syria and to see what's happened in syria when we were able to take
1:43 am
out the chemical weapons we need to do the same with gaza. you need to put pressure. secretary kerry is putting the pressure now. you need to put more pressure for it to happen. >> danny, good to have you on. thank you so much. >> thank you, judge. you know how i feel about the immigration crisis. but new evidence that cartels and gangs are using this crisis to continue their drug operations in the united states.
1:47 am
as the crisis on the border continues an even more drushing problem is reerg its ugly head under the cloak of immigration. the illegal trafficking of young males and females by violent cartels. good evening, you believe that many of the children brought across the border are escaping not only from poverty and the perception of crime in central america but from a life of crime as well. and let me see if i understand this. number one, what you see are mothers running from traffickers, voluntarily with their children. and then we've got mothers using coyotes who are then trafficking those young girls as part of a sex trafficking. and then we've got cartels who
1:48 am
are bringing the male boys in to continue their drug traffic operations. so there's almost like three reasons that these kids are coming in. can you explain that to us? >> thank you for having me on your show. as you know, there are 57,000 children that have reached the u.s. border in the last year. and many of these children have come here obviously as a result of extreme violence in their countries, extreme poverty, lack of access to education and to resources. and many of the -- most of the countries in latin america, at least the three we are now seeing with a great influx of children, el salvador, guatemala and honduras are basically being governed by a gang. the gang that acts like a c
1:49 am
cartel. there are 70,000 members of the gang. and the gang is the one that is now controlling the neighborhoods across central america, controlling the drug trade, controlling the trafficking of children. and controlling the trafficking of weapons as well. >> okay but one of the things -- excuse me but one of the things that you say is that once these kids come across the border and even when they are released that they are still controlled by some of the gangs and coyotes bringing them in. >> well, the coyotes bring them in. in order for most of the migrants to come into the united states they have to cross, obviously, through mexico. so the coyotes usually are given
1:50 am
the average rate today is $9,000, by the mothers of these children and they help the mothers -- forgive me smuggle the children and the morris. what is happening today is that the coyotes also know the amount of money that is being made in the trafficking of children. so not only are the coyotes now smuggling the mothers and the children, they are now working closely with the cartels, specifically the mexican cartels in order to smuggle the children and then have them trafficked. and once the children arrive in the united states, those children who have nowhere to go, who run away, of course, are at high risk of being trafficked again. >> thanks so very much. you can read more about this in the article in this weekend's

we got great responses to my open last week on the way president obama responds to crises overseas and at our border. you can watch my open on my facebook page, judge jeannine. i said it is time to do something reaganesque. and this person says the only thing reaganesque that obama is capable of is taking naps. that's not nice. shery says he can't do that.
1:55 am
he can only do obamaesque. we know that is attending fundraisers and playing golf. but some disagreed with what i said. bradley said the g.o.p. is also using the crisis to rile up its demographic. republicans could recover their dignity if they work at solutions instead of trying to pass blame and bradley says they are working at solutions, bradley, like closing the border so we don't face this every two years. and lucia says i loved you in the past but say i'm disappointed with your using this sad case for throwing jabs at president obama. call him and offer him your ideas. he might take some of them. if i did call him he would never take my call. and number two the reason for the jabs at the president is he

knew about this influx a year ago and did nothing to prevent it. and number three, throwing money, taxpayer money at a problem doesn't solve it. and now the results of the instant poll. we asked our christians worldwide in danger from radical muslims. people -- diane says we need to pray. whatever your religion. sheldon says not just christians but everyone. mike says i believe all non-muslims are in danger. and george says they're not coming, they're already here. and yes and the christian community must fight back. and carla says as a u.s. citizen i feel betrayed. and william says there is a holy war happening. susan finishes off the show by saying is the pope catholic?

what does it take to police america? >> we hear bang and screaming on the door. >> he has an assault rifle. >> some americans are mad and pushing back against authority. >> why are you playing me under arrest? >> some are upset that the government spies on them. >> what you do on your cell phone is none of their business. >> after all, today everyone can spy on anyone. >> that was cool until it started taking pictures of my wife over there. >> i could do it if i could just control my drone. >> it's a weed whacker. >> a
