thank you for starting your day with us. a shocking verdict in the case of chris kyle. the jury awarding ex pro wrestler jessie ventura nearly $1 million. >> how did the jury go from deadlocked to this? >> the judge wanted them to keep deliberating. some are asking is justice being served or a case of disgrace. in an 8-2 decision they award jessie ventura $1.8 million in this case against the hero navy seal chris kyle who was murdered last year. because of the death ventura filed suit. it claims kyle the most decorated sniper in america lied when he wrote in his book, american sniper, that he punched ventura at a bar in california in 2006. kyle told fox news why i hit

suffered brain trauma. instead athletes can sue individually for damages. it is the end of july and many people are seeing cooler temperatures. will the trend continue? >> it will continue for today but then we will see temperatures return to normal in july and august already around the corner. take a look at the current temperatures across parts of the east. we could be setting record lows. in pittsburgh current temperature 53 degrees. you are in the 50's as far south as nashville, tennessee, and atlanta, georgia, current temperature is 60 degrees. we have a big dip in the jet stream. it is bringing our high temperatures even hi-loer. cities like chicago and cleveland. take a look at the portions of southeast, atlanta you are already heating up 85 degrees.

in a packed courtroom with family members watching the man accused of. they gave no details about the journey back to her home or where they believe she has been since her after school disappearance last october. 34-year-old nathanial kib bee shackled at the wrist confirmed he would accept the representation of a public defender. on monday he was taken into custody after a swat team roughly 30 miles north of the high school where he was last seen. kib bee is charged with one count of fell lee kidnapping. he has a long criminal history dating back to the 90's when he was charged with criminal trespass. he plead guilty to marijuana possession. family members are over joyed about abby's return. >> this girl is stronger than any one could ever be asked to be.
