they are vowing to attempt to pass legislation fixing the border crisis. some even came back from the airport. the senate will not be voting as they leave town for their five week break. they can come to a consensus after failing to vote on the $669 million border security bill just yesterday. >> i am optimistic we are going to reach an agreement. we have been in conference today. once there was a realization the votes were not there to pass the bill then it went into melt down mode. it started out with humor andito got intense in there. >> the president can take action without congressional approval. he could deport those who arrive illegally and stop prioritizing deportation depending on the deportation. they gave minors for most latin american countries a chance to

eric cantor resigned from his position. he will be calling it quits early. his last day august 18th. cantor says he wants to give his successor a chance for an early term in office. he originally said he would serve out his term. he lost in a primary upset against a tea party challenger. two hours after a cease fire between israel and hamas israeli tanks kill at least four people in gaza. israeli military says an exchange of fire had occurred but did not elaborate. this after israel and hamas previously agree to an unconditional 72-hour humanitarian cease fire. it wasn't expected to allow time for leaders to negotiate a more durable troop. >> bombshell new audio6?v revea bill clinton with a missed opportunity to kill osama bin laden back in the mid 90's. a speech in australia

treated at a hospital in atlanta. waga mark tight ner is live outside of the president with new details. good morning, mark. >> good morning. as you can image in atlanta it is raising eyebrows about this news coming our way. the first time anybody is going to have the ebola virus on u.s. soul it will be here in the metro area. they tell people not to worry about that. these two missionaries who contracted the ebola virus in liberia while they were working with patients over there coming back, we are hearing that one of them might be coming to the hospital. they haven't told us which one will be coming to the emory university hospital. but the person who does come here for treatment will be placed in a special isolation cell. a cell -- isolation unit. that unit is one of only four in the united states. the cdc helped the folks at r

emory come up with that particular unit. there is absolutely no risk to the public but they want to get this person over here so he or she can get the treatment they need for the ebola virus, a deadly virus that at this point has no vaccine. we are not sure when the person is going to arrive exactly. obviously they are not releasing the names of that particular person. but they tell us that everyone will be safe here in the general public. reporting live from at banta, marc teichner, fox news. >> thank you, marc. >> to an extreme weather alert. tropical storm bertha forming in the atlantic ocean. >> maria molina has been tracking the path and where it is going to make land fall. >> the second main storm of the season forming right on time when the second storm of the season may should be forming. bertha had maximum sustained

winds at 45 miles per hour with stronger gusts. it is moving quickly at 20 miles per hour. you can see the forecast track right now across portions of the atlantic eventually moving into the caribbean across puerto rico and the dominican republic. monday morning it will be moving over the bahamas. it will be a critical time. will the storm make the curve out to sea. it looks like it will be the case. computer models are pointing to that. it will be coming relatively close to the united states. it will be something to watch. at the least you are looking at rip current concerns along coastal areas in the southeast. temperature wise you are on the warm side. tampa 99 -- 91 degrees feeling like summer. in raleigh 75 degrees. looking at showers and storms

today starting tonight and tomorrow. hours from now the monthly jobs report will be released. but the outlook for july not looking as good as june. lauren simonetti joins us with what we can expect. in little over 3 hours we find out how many jobs the dion me created la-- the economy create last month. 233,000 that is down from the 288,000 created in june. the jobless rate is expected to stay put at 6.1 percent. we will be paying attention to the types of jobs created. are they pufull-time? how long do they pay? if this report is better than forecast the stocks could actually fall. if the economy is stronger the feds could hike rates sooner. that is good news for folks who have money in the bank, for savers. the consumer protection bureau out with a new report looking at rules four years ago that were

on charter flights last year with your money. lori rothman is here to taell u those high flying numbers. >> they certainly are, heather. u.s. senators spent almost 1 million of your hard earned tax payer dollars on chartered flights last year. 14 republicans 9 democrats and one independent racked up more than 920,000 dollars in travel expenses when in many other cases there were cheaper forms of transportation like commercial flights or driving available. they wracked up 638,000 while republicans spent 278,000. senators from new york had the highest bill. chuck schumer spent 286,000 on private planes. another 93,000. rounding out the top 5 senators on private planes west virginia's jay rockefeller, wyoming john barrasso and john thune from south dakota. they pay for their travel out of tax payer accounts set aside to

welcome back. talk about caught in the act. this man arrested in indianapolis for stealing jewelry from a package on someone's front porch. the evidence convincing. he looked directly into a security camera. he at first denied the crime. it wasn't until police showed him the images, he then exercised his right to remain silent. the homeowner posted this video to facebook saying he would like to get his wife's $300 earrings back.
