morning edition and indicating that the house legislation was driven by jeff sessions and ted cruz and the house members. is that how it went down? >> it was house legislation. i can tell you they worked with a group of 20 members late in the evening on thursday to get something that would be workable and would keep our commitment that we made to secure the border first. we knew we had to change catch and release. we had to make sure a plan to get the children back to their families in their home country. no comprehensive bill. one thing in a time. separately, dealing with the deferred childhood program that was my legislation basically that takes away the president's ability to grant amnesty. >> explain the bill that you

sponsored and pushed through. help our viewers to sort of see how that works. >> right. what is happening, the president would delay or defer the hearing for children that are coming in the u.s. for a period of two years and allow them to go ahead and get a work permit. this is for children in the country or either children who had come here has children. and this was done by executive order and not statute, but executive order that was signed june 15th, 2012, and put in action august 15th, 2012. if you look at the escalation rate of illegal aliens coming to the country from that period of time, it is absolutely astounding. 2009 to this year there is a 300 percent increase and next year

expecting a 113 percent increase. we are freezing the program and as of july 30th no federal money can be spent on the doca program or work authorization to those who unlawfully enter the country. we voted in such a way, that it would handicap the president and keep him while we are away in august trying to grant amnesty to another class or grouch aliens entering the country. >> i am confused, because the president was in the podium and we played the clip. well congress is not doing anything and they will not act and of course, the senate has gone home and he threatened to veto a bill he didn't personally right. i don't know how he became the

monarch rather than the president. how frustrating is. it you stayed there and got a bill done and yet he says that you are not doing anything. >> that's what he wants to say and harry reid the same thing. we have 367 bills on harry reid's desk. we want to uphold the constitution. article one, section eight calls for, gives the process of naturalization to congress, not to the executive branch. this is the jurisdiction of the house. it is laid out in the constitution and when you look at the enumerated powers little further in the section enumeration for the executive branch, there is nothing that deals with naturalization. and so the president is outside of the law. this is a lawless administration. and what he had done was to go in and try to put in place a way

to provide citizenship or amnesty and now we heard he was going to expand the program and governor, we feel like it is imperative that we stand for the rule of law. we are a nation of laws that recognizes and respects the rule of law. and it is imperative that the u.s. house of representative take the lead in standing for the constitution and saying mr. president, this is not an action that you can take. >> you have clearly done your job and one of the reasons that we want viewers to hear from you. and not only what you did, but in fact congress did what they were supposed to do. we appreciate you joining us. >> absolutely. thank you so much, governor. according to the associated press, israeli prime minister netanyahu, told senior u.s. officials including secretary of state john ker not to second guess him on hamas. that is after the ceasefire was violated by the terrorist organization in the first couple of hours. fox news correspondent is covering the fighting and he

people. and you have under one minute to rush to the bunker and you hear the iron dome striking back and shaking the apartment from the natural shot or connecting with a missile coming toward your town. >> how long are nut bunker? 30 minutes or hour? >> what is the time frame. >> minimum ten minutes and we say 15 or 20 to play it safe. sometimes the rockets are on border aring towns and we'll hear the iron dome firing in other cities as well. we stay put and we have a computer which i am coming to you live and we have the breaking news and follow where it happen and when it happen. >> you know a lot of people may have a hard time envisioning what eight by eight looks like. the 12 of you have to huddle into so quickly. >> yes, eight by eight.

airport is 45 minute drive from here. now, driving in the car, you are on the highway, if an alarm goes off you have to jump out and hit the deck. my kids, they still don't know what is going on here. and to be honest. after a few weeks of being here. you have a sense of solidarity. i have roots here and my wife was born here as well. and we are proud of the job they are doing. and hope to be home very soon. but i would love to have this thing end and so we can see the rest of our family, because they are in cities that are under attacks worse than we are. >> david, be safe. and thank you for joaning us.
