strategy around singjar following the limited air strikes. until now they were behaving like an well organized army and taking military objectives as it marched across iraq and now they are relying on classic insurgeancy tactics. >> they had been in the open and now they are disa pate and hide amongst the people. the targeting will be more difficult. >> in some ways, that shoes how effective air strikes will be. one of the reasons they marched over iraq the iraqi air force didn't exist. the u.s. ground forces would be needed to permanently needed to push isis fighters back. >> there will be no

reintroduction of the american combat forces into iraq. >> right now, we learned that pentagon planners are looking into how to get the yazidis off of the mountains. the likely target would be a humanitarian corridor and looking at a range of options and we could know what is required later today, >> we'll talk about that later on in the program, jenna. and remembering a man today who made everybody laugh. robin williams, dead at age 63. we are awaiting a new's conference where we may learn more information about how he died. williams was found unresponsive in a san francisco home in an apparent suicide. william is out there. ro bin williams began the career. and we have seen poignant pictures and memories that are pouring in from them?

a ceasefire in gaza holds for another day as talks continue in egypt. rick has more. >> reporter: jenna, one of the key issues for palestinian negotiators in cairo is opening the border to allow more goods for palestinian people. we went down to the raffa border crossing where gaza meets israel and egypt. and we sue them trying to get in egypt. there was only one bus and these were people with foreign passports. it palestinians can can only go

to egypt with medical emergency or special circumstance. and we went to southwest raffa where smuggling tunnels were discovered. >> this is a network of tunnels built between raffa and southwest gaza and eh egypt. it is 7 or 8 feet tall and metal on the walls and destroyed by the israeli forces who blasted their way through the area. you can see the scene of heavy fighting on the side of the building there. the egyptians have destroyed hundreds and hundreds of these tunnels over the years and in some cases used to smuggle food and humanitarian goods and other cases smuggle weapons and ammunition. that is how hamas was able to build an arsenal of 10,000 rockets before the conflict
10:14 am
began. obviously they are a problem for both the egyptians and israeli. they are concerned it would be used to rebuild underneath the borders. >> thank you. >> new fallout from hillary clinton's criticism of president obama's handling of foreign policy. the former secretary of state said the president's failure to aid syrian rebels contributed to the rise of isis militants and said great nagszs need organizing stupid stuff and don't do stupid stuff is not an organizing principle. and now a piece in the wall street junioring said mrs. clinton is walking a very fine line. we'll get to that in the mnlt. we'll have howard dean and charlie herts. i wonder joe. if there is any other way to
10:15 am
explain this than hillary clinton becoming not just a popular. but looking at 2016 and i have to head for the gates and get out of here? >> i think that is part of the calculation, but this is where she's always been. what is interesting to me, ed, this cost her the nomination in 2008. positioned to the right of barak obama as a hawkish demcrate running against the guy who voted against the war. she had to implement his policies no matter what she advised him. but it is interesting in terms of whether she is underestimating the change in the democratic party, post george bush's presidency and what that made as a challenge to her in the primaries of 2016 if she decides to run.
10:16 am
>> i am glad you mentioned george w. bush. i noticed a tweet from david a xelrod. he meant invading iraq in the first place. what did this president say. and this is the fact that the the previous administration screwed it up in a start. >> that was a veiled reaction that hillary clinton voted to invade iraq as well. i am sure it was. i agree with joe about the fact. i think it is kind of strange that she would be underestimating once again the degree to which her party is loathe to go to war and nation building expenses. it could blow up in her face. but it is a political move on her part and the reason is,
10:17 am
because of the naive policy of the administration believing that you can have a vacum in the middle east and it will be filled with good leaders if you step away. politically, she has to distance herself. and i am sure with a lot of help from her very smart and abled husband, they have figured out, this is how they need to begin stepping away from the administration. but as joe said, i wouldn't be surprised if it didn't back fire on her. >> hillary metaphoris. and reasons to be skeptic. and looking at bob gates' book. strongly supporting a surge in afghanistan, hillary told the
10:18 am
president that her opposition was political and went on to say the iraq surge worked. and it was political. and to hear two of them making administration in front of me was surprising as it was dismaying. this idea that the initial reaction. it was great for hillary clinton to breakaway from the administration. can't she looked too cold and calculating and that back fired on her in '08? >> that is the point i was making. it is seeming to be a replay of what she did in 2008. it may be a not understanding of the big shift in the democrat party caused by bush's policies. and the other part of it is, we had a president who had ground troops and another president who
10:19 am
just did the opposite. pulled out of using ground troops. hillary is trying to get to the middle of it is not either or. we have to do both. that may help in the 2016. and the republicans are going to look strange when it is sort of hey, only if obama had listened to hillary. we would have a better foreign policy. >> charlie, i wonder if there is a middle ground; they are not calling for ground troops to be sent back to iraq. >> i don't know if there is a middle ground. the fact remains that a lot of politicians such as joe biden and hillary clinton voted to send troops in war and yes, it was ugly and the mistakes were made. there was never wars that
10:20 am
haven't had mistakes and they proved too politically onerous with them and they back pedalled. and a lot of people will never forget that and to see hillary clinton back flipping again for what is most apparentally those reasons is damaging to her. >> i suspect we'll talk not only 2016 but iraq again and again. it keeps coming back. an international agreement reached to send humanitarian aid to ukraine and the red cross has no idea what is on the convoy of trucks from russia and the pentagon is admitting that air strikes will not be enough to stop the isis terrorist. what is next? >> we don't want to suggest that we effectively contained or

10:25 am
targeting is going to be tough and can more difficult. >> a fox news military analyst joins us now. colonel cowan, now what? >> i wish it is a little boy, and wish you all of the best. >> thank you. >> we are fighting pretty tough guys and they have been insurgents before and started out inn bar province in iraq and moved to syria and got all of the military. and they tried to fight a conventional war and learned that the united states has air to devastate. but they will continue to make success as they move throughout the country and intimidate and consolidate and do it without taking the heavy losses that they will take if they work in a conventional mode. >> my baby on the way, i just

want to bring you to this story in this way. as our viewers know. my husband is a veteran of the war in iraq. i think of what situations would bring my husband back to war there and what situations could bring my children to war? and i read something like this from secretary kerry. >> there will be no reintroduction of combat forces in iraq. no one is looking forward to a return to the war we travelled. is that making it more or less likely that we will have to reengage at some point in the ground? >> my only son came back from afghanistan on the sixth term. you and others that has troops on the ground. i am concerned. i think we will cut a fine line. use cam bot troops on the ground and meaning organized military

states and also talked about russia one of the things we are looking at when it comes to russia they are sending a convoy of 300 trucks to ukraine. they say it is humanitarian aid. what is going on here? >> you know, when putin was to blame of the shooting of the malaysian air liner. he sent in more military equipment to the separatist. i don't think he will slow down in his desire to take over portions of eastern ukraine. he is probably trying to send material and equipment and supplies to the separatist. many people think he may include more combat troops and frankly he doesn't need a convoy to get more people in. i don't think putin is backing down and will try to get away with. it if the red cross inspects all of the vehicles and assure that
10:29 am
there is no military equipment then we let him go. i don't think putin doesn't want that to happen. and ukraine is bearing the brunt of the confrontation on its own. >> my husband thanks you for the prediction of a boy. i think he is in an agreement with you. thank you very much. >> a lot of big stories including jenna's pregnancy and also looking back on the life and career of robin williams. coming up. we expect a new's report on his death at age 63. >> and a household chemical could be putting your child at risk. >> we want to hear the facts and myths about pregnancy. log on to fox news.com/happening now. jenna is waiting patiently for this. waiting patiently for the baby.
