move. we are expecting to see flooding across portions of new england. the storm system producing significant flooding across portions of michigan and the mid atlantic. there's an area across washington, d.c. and parts of long island where we have been seeing rainfall up to a foot of rain in some areas or nearly a foot outside of the dc area. because of this we have flood watches in effect and several flash flood warnings with flooding ongoing. there are reports of road closures occurring early this morning and watches extend further north. widespread across connecticut, massachusetts up into new hampshire. because of this, several inches of rain forecast up to 6 inches of rain in the forecast as we head into later today. this is associated with a strong system. behind this you will see a significant drop in temperatures places like cleveland, parts of the northeast feeling the colder air moving in with temperatures

today that will be well below average low 70's in cleveland further quest another hot one in rapid city down in texas highs in the 90's. in ferguson, missouri police refusing to identify the officer shot and killed unarmed 18-year-old michael brown citing death threats. triggering riots and looting. the faa restricting the airspace over that volatile city. kelly wright is live. >> ferguson police say due to the death threats they are not releasing the name of the officer involved in the fatal shooting of an unarmed black teenager. that decision appears to be adding more problems to the case. they are investigating the shooting of michael brown to determine if his civil rights were violated. some who saw it say brown's hands were raised when he was shot. >> i saw police chase after the guy. he was unarmed.
