back saying there were far fewer people trapped and in far better condition than originally thought. this is the first time we know of a u.s. team actually being eyeballed on the situation there in iraq. video of the mountain shows dramatic scene all men women and children attempting to survive after running for their lives from isis terrorists. he had them surrounded as air strikes and kurdish fighters took some of the pressure off. humanitarian dropped as the evacuation you are watching right now by iraqi military helicopters. critics say the response from the obama administration is far too little far too late to deal with isis. >> we have got the best equipped, best organized jihadist group anywhere in the world right now pressing in key areas of iraq and syria. this is much more than a humanitarian crisis this is a serious security threat the u.s. needs to be concerned about.

it gets more complicated and much more dangerous. >> in other news this morning the american pastor jailed in iran for his christian faith is now facing death threats interest isis terrorists. the terrorists are being held in the same prison and have threatened to murder said ab n abedini. he could-at risk during the dale licks size time. it will mark two years since the 34-year-old was jailed. the american center of justice have been working to get him freed. >> palestinians agreeing to extend a temporary cease fire for another five days. they have yet to agree on this deal as egyptian mediators are working on a long-term peace agreement. they went into effect on sunday halting military operations and hamas rocket attacks until rock he is hit israel after the 72 our cease fire came to an end. no rockets have been fired

this morning parts of new york, ithaca, new york, seeing temperatures only in the 40's. it is august and you are waking up to temperatures in the 40's. it is well below average. across portions of the plains 101 for a high in phoenix and 80 degrees in the city of la. over the next few days those temperatures will warm up across portions of the northeast and be closer to normal. otherwise as far as flooding goes the next big area we are looking at is across parts of the rockies. the monsoon moisture continuing to produce heavy rain, flash flood watches are in effect. >> maria molina. thank you. >> he checked himself into rehab in june to get some help. but robin williams' downward spiral of depression may have started last year on the set of his tv show. he fell off the wagon when he insisted on having real drinks while he was shooting a scene. he had been sober since 2006.
