3:10 am
vulnerable that is and what the president is doing about that. back to ferguson, missouri, because we have not talked about it in a few days. what do you think about this? because there has been a rallying cry out of all of this. if you don't like the way things are going in your town, get out and vote. now there's not much wrong with that. >> some of us noted from the beginning that the white house response to ferguson, whatever you think about what happened between the police officer and mike brown was disproportionate. they sent two representatives from the white house to his funeral in contrast to none to margaret thatcher's. they really went over the top. why are they doing this? it's a political move. they have a really tough midterm coming up and the democrats are going to get hurt, so they are trying to get out their base. and pushing ferguson, making it into a race scaring people and dividing people along racial lines is a useful get out the vote strategy.
3:11 am
i said that's crazy. turns out, it was entirely true. and john lewis said this, quote, ferguson has made it crystal clear to the african american community and others that we've got to go to the polls. you participate and vote, you can have some control over what happens to your child and your country. >> the democrats are more engaged into the midterm election which is a bigger result of what the turnout will be. >> five of the six council members are white. >> this is not a local election, it's a national election. the democratic party at the national level is saying to elect a democratic house to prevent future partisan? they are basically saying the

republican party is the result of killing michael brown. that's really racist. you should be afraid when national leaders use race as a dividing line to get people to vote for them based on race and fear. that's a scary thing. you open that can and you don't know where it winds up in the air. >> it winds up with politics. >> friends@foxnews.com. let us know what you think. the president has made plenty of policy promises, but the next secret service agent guest says the president can't deliver. and the department of veterans affairs sending nearly $4 million on wind turbines for green energy. so what did we get for all that money? a whole lot of hot air.

3:17 am
had no strategy? >> good morning. he doesn't have a foreign policy strategy because he doesn't want one. the intelligence community, a lot of my contacts, have been feeding him relatively good information for a long time. that was actionable. he doesn't want to burn an ounce, anno ounce of political capital, when his fundamental strategy is at home. that's really important for people to understand that. it's not ignorant, it's a deliberate ignorance and there's a big difference. >> it is actually the politics over the last 20 years, it's all about domestic policy. that seems to be changing. we'll look at the new gallop poll on the president's approval rating. 38% strongly disapprove. 27% moderate approve. 17% strongly approve. is it your sense that his action and confusion on foreign policy
3:18 am
is responsible for part of these numbers? >> it is, but i don't think it's because of think specific issue in foreign policy. if you were to dig into the poll to ask people, what area of the world are you talking about that's bothering you? i bet many would have a problem with that. the reason is poll numbers are tanking, this is critical, if there's one thing the american people hate more than anything it's chaos. and whatever they turn on, the news, they hate disorder or chaos. and the president doesn't seem to get his arm around it. i heard his foreign policy was described as whackable. it's like whack a poll. they respond on what to do. they lick their finger and put it in the air and that's what they do trying to suppress negative public opinion. >> absolutely correct. i think this is chaos. you're right there. so what do you think the

president says to do against isis? jennifer griffin said overnight there was a bombing campaign in northern iraq. a fairly limited one to help a specific group, do you think the president will escalate our involvement in iraq against isis? >> i hope he doesn't. i really do. at this point we are trading one tyrant for another. sadly, there's going to be some idea kicked around about cooperation with assad. and that would be a disaster. he wants a potential reformer to our enemy now back to a potential friend again. and it just goes to show you that you can't trade one tyrant for another to come out on top in the long run. this is a generational battle between the sunnis and the sh s shias. >> thank you. coming up, the job description of a self-starter

who knows how to grow pot. who is hiring? the federal government is hiring. and your kid's tuition costs upwards of $20,000 a year. what kind of education are they getting? the shocking new curriculum, ahead. when folks think about what they get from alaska, they think salmon and energy. but the energy bp produces up here creates something else as well: jobs all over america. engineering and innovation jobs. advanced safety systems & technology. shipping and manufacturing. across the united states, bp supports more than a quarter million jobs. when we set up operation in one part of the country, people in other parts go to work. that's not a coincidence. it's one more part of our commitment to america.
