manhunt. but we begin this hour with a frightening security breach at the white house and now serious questions for the secret service. it was caught on video. watch what you're actually watching, a man jumping the fence, running across the white house lawn and barreling through the front door. president obama and his family are fine. they had just left for the weekend. remember this, this is supposed to be one of the most secure buildings in the entire world. let's go live now to elizabeth at the scene on the white house lawn. elizabeth, i've worked there, you've worked there, it is inpen trelable so we thought. >> reporter: it all happened right behind me last night after 42-year-old omar gonzalez sprinted across the lawn and making it all the way inside the front doors as you said before secret service grabbed him. his security breach triggered

evacuations and some staffers and journalists were rushed out of side doors, not something we normally see. according to ed henry, a source familiar confirms there was at least one officer outside the front door with a gun drawn but using his own discretion decided not to use. we did learn afterwards he was unarmed during the incident. the president just left minutes beforehand with his daughters and first lady was not home, already left for the weekend. gonzalez is now in the hospital for medical evaluation. the secret service releasing a statement, this is currently under investigation and the secret service will review the response to ensure proper protocol was followed. now, this investigation on the heels of a security breach on september 11th when a man wearing a pokedmon costume was met with guns drawn and dog unit, not something we saw last night.

this is not the first incident involving the secret service, it has been criticized in the past. in 2012 there was a number of agents and officer involved in a prostitution scandal and in march a dutch hotel employee found a secret service officer intoxicated right before the president arrived on a trip to the netherlands. kelly, back to you. >> amazing. elizabeth, thank you. >> 49 turkish hostages released and returned to turkey by isis. the hostages including diplomats and their families were abducted in june from the turkish consulate. they were freed after what they are describing as a covert operation by its intelligence agency. john has more. >> reporter: it's a little, turkish prime minister would not elaborate about what kind of covert operation was used saying

isis continues to hold a british hostage delivering relief supplies into syria when he was taken a couple of weeks ago. today a jihadi, kind of an interesting twist on this. an ideologue called for this hostage's release, saying islam forbids harming nonmuslims who work for relief agencies, still, isis is threatening to kill the british aide worker as it did another relief worker as we know, those two american journalists. >> thank you so much. >> kelly? >> new developments for a missing university of virginia student. they have questioned a man who entered a restaurant with hannah graham and may have later gotten into a car with her. investigators searched his car and apartment but not calling him a suspect. leland has the very latest on this. what can you tell us?
