dr. nannies sneiderman who is also being flown back to america in a private plane. she and her plane will be in quarantine for 21 days. the factor has called for the obama administration to halt all commercial flights and deny u.s. entry to any person from west africa until the epidemic subsides. but so far that request has not been heeded. >> there also are screening procedures in place at our border. so as individuals enter the country, they are observed by customs and border patrol and others to protect the broader american public. >> but as we have seen with thomas duncan, the liberian national in dallas texas screening cannot, cannot stop the movement of six -- sick people. because the incubation period is up to three weeks. so far, at least 13 african countries are he restricting people entry from the

nations where ebola is the problem. in addition, british airways and air france among others have suspended flights to dangerous areas. the u.s.a. has done nothing, nothing. does that make sense to you? a possible reason for the inaction is political correctness. listen to this. >> you can't isolate neighborhoods. you can't isolate nations. it doesn't work. and people talk about well, we shouldn't allow any facts in from liberia. i mean, we in america, how dare we turn our backs on liberia given the fact that this is a country that was founded in the 1820s, 1830s because of american slavery. we have a responsibility to stay connected with them and help them see this through. >> that's insane. insane. by the way, 3,000 american military people have been ordered to liberia and other african countries to help out. that's humane and proper but civilians are another

8:09 pm
dr. schmidt, i mean, that sent a chill through my spine, how about you? >> mine also. and i have to say i was quite relieved when i realized they pulled the kids out of school and they pulled the family into quarantine. i think it's necessary. the cdc and the public health department using an enormous amount of resources. and if this happens two or three more times, we're going to be running out of federal resources to continue the control of this infection. so i do believe that we need to address the potential for two to three other people to come here. and perhaps your suggestion of doing what other countries are doing of better screening flights of coming in is not a bad used. >> i hope they do it other thing is doctor i know you can't speculate is this nbc cameraman. how on earth could he have gotten that? because i have been in these third world nations and camera people do not

8:15 pm
what do you think is holding it up? >> i think what's holding it up, bill, is the fact that unlike most court martials where the investigation is done relatively quickly after the crime has been committed, the alleged crime has been committed, this process inserted a general, outside military criminal justice process into this to do a full and complete follow-up investigation before the extra road bump along the way. >> if you have got a general that should make things go faster. is he a general. let's go. >> yeah, yeah. well it's an non-sleuth aye aye. lawyers advising him. no doubt they environment viewed him and other people associated with this case. this is one of the primary reasons for the delay. captain i suspect there is politics involved here. because if it comes out that sergeant bergdahl is a deserter and perhaps a dlab brart going to make the president look bad. >> nope, that's exactly

"the factor" tip of the day, president obama once again criticizing fox news and my reaction to that, in a moment. first, three weeks from tonight dennis miller and i will be in charleston, west virginia for the last bolder fresher show of the year where tickets are available. we're going to have a blast, so we hope you check it out on billoreilly.com. also, did you check this out? it's the usa today best seller list. become a billoreilly.com premium member or re-up. now the mail, al, oregon. i'm elated to have alan combs comforting us about ebola when another disease spread by bodily fluids -- colmes is right. you are fear mongering. can only be passed through bodily fluid contact. any person who gets sick over there can get on a plane and come to the usa for medical care. it's self-preservation. james carol, san diego, does obamacare cover ebola? not sure. tom, i'm withholding his last name, virginia, i recently retired from the secret service after 23 years and believe there is a big problem in management. questioning or reporting problems will get you labeled as a malcontent. yes-men are regarded.
8:57 pm
charles, longwood, florida, it appears the secret service has suffered the same fate at fema. both were merged into homeland security, both are losing a steady stream of qualified personnel, resigning in disgust, including me. los angeles, bill, your killing books are incredible. i teach fifth grade and my students actually cheered when it was time to read "lincoln's last days." that's excellent to hear, wendy. the children's books on lincoln, kennedy and jesus have all been big best-sellers. and a lot of schools are using them. the kids book on patton will be out early next year. mary, lincoln, california. bill, i have loved all your books, but "killing patton" stands out above anything else i have ever read. i appreciate that, mary. virginia, new orleans. bill, you were very rude to james carville. i have met him. he's a generous host. just joshing around with him. he said he was 72 and a little

too old to do heavy lifting. i agreed and then asked him about, you know, how that's affecting his thinking process. kidding around with him. i do that with everybody. finally tonight, "the factor" tip of the day. speaking at northwestern university in illinois yesterday, president obama told everybody that obamacare's doing very well. and then being a politician he threw this in. >> while good affordable health care might seem like a threat to the famed freedom to the american people on fox news, it turns out it's working pretty well in the real world. >> now, yesterday i said i understood, but tonight i want to amplify. there's no question mr. obama's having a very hard time governing right now. most of the national media is still on his side, although recent events have made it difficult for the left wing zealous in the press to praise him. fox news has never been on the president's side. but that doesn't mean we've been unfair to him.
8:59 pm
we cover the president with skepticism. and that's what journalists and analysts should do with everyone in power. because mr. obama doesn't receive much media criticism, in his mind fox is totally out of control. so i understand, mr. president, i understand why you don't like us. and i also understand that the president can gin-up his base by lobbying a few verbal grenades our way. here's a tip, when someone comes after you with malice, you have to confront the person. what president obama does to fnc is simply falling leaves in the wind. doesn't mean much. "the factor" tip of the day. and that is it for us tonight. please check out the fox news factor website which is different from billoreilly.com. also spout off about "the factor" from anywhere in the world. name and town if you wish to opine. do not be a troglodyte when writing. i have been called that.
9:00 pm
