allan henning, so far it looks real. this is a fox news alert. some horrific and very sad noew to report tonight. there's a video on the internet and it purports to show the beheading of allan henning. our chief intelligence continue catherine herridge has seen the tape and she joins us now with more. >> reporter: within the last hour, u.s. officials confirming they are ammizing the video. i viewed it and it's significantly shorter than the previous isis videos at just under two minutes, it begins with a british news report over the image of the british parolment as the decision is

made to join the coalition bombing of isis in sere and iraq. and and then we see the image there on your left t hostage reported to be the british national allen henning, kneeling in the orange jump suit and then the executioner is there on the right of a brief station clearly made under arrest where henning blames his execution upon the parliament's decision to join the u.s.-led campaign, he is then executed and then the scene goes to black and we have the now familiar shot, the horrific shot of the severed head on the body. the video is described by the executioner of the next victim he identifies as an american peter edward kasig. kasig went missing in syria in late 2012 or 2013. he is a native of indiana and

also an army ranger who left the united states to join the emergency response and assistance to syria. meanwhile, isis now may be on the hunt for military families. an army intelligence bulletin is warning military families -- vice president joe biden seems to be downplaying the islamic terror threat. >> let me say it again, we face no existential threat to our life or our own security. you are twice as likely to be struck by lightning as you are to be affected by a terrorist event in the united states. >> but just a few days ago, president obama had this warning. >> in terms of immediate threats
