few days ago. this is an important win but not indicative of things to come, is that what you are saying? >> that's exactly right. it is like watching the tide come in. it will come in and go out. we are going to see lots of ups and downs. our strategy is simply wrong. we're expecting that the baghdad government, right, which is tied to iran and which is shia, will be able to use their shia army to attack sunni homelands. we're not going to split isis away from the sunni homelands. >> who is expecting that will happen? >> sadly, the obama white house. >> i know that's what it is saying. i don't think anybody expects it is saying it. i think that's what they are saying. i hope that they understand this really isn't going to happen. if they were being strategic, i would use this as an opportunity, a bargaining chip to cut the deal with iran that needs to be cut. >> they don't require nuclear

weapons but they get more solid control over iraq and we have a sunni section where we can blow money into the sunnis that want to fight against isis. that's what we did four years ago under petraeus when that worked. >> we would be left with a sunni land and a shia land and a kurdishland, which is what everybody is talking about. >> as soon as we have a strategy, the sooner we can honor the sacrifices our troops are making to try to make these things happen. when you have a strategy contrary to the facts on the ground, it is never going to hold. this is a region that's at war for a mellinia. this is not going to happen. this idea of the state of iraq having to sub sift isist in per is a foolish notion this is veterans day. we honor the men and women and families that have sacrificed so much to serve our nation.

12:29 pm
they are like, we could have spent more time on this. we wanted to boil it down on veterans day and the next day and give people some degree of understanding of what this took. >> the bin laden raid is not the only raid that he was on, that big blockbuster movies have been made about. we talk about all of that. rob is very clear, it is not just about him. anybody on this team could have taken the shot. he took the shot. he explains what it was like to meet bin laden for a second. >> i can't wait to see it. i wonder what it has been like. >> you are friends with the rich and famous. you are on tv. peter, you have a big tv family. you met a lot of people but to be around this sort of humble, everyday guy except for the secrets that you knew, is there something that differentiates him from all the rest of us. talking to him, you can tell that he has seen it all.
12:30 pm
he is clearly a badass. i think i can get away with that today. he is very grounded. he does not seem at all freaked out by the stuff that he has seen but he is humbled by it. he no he knows how lucky he is to have survived his s.e.a.l. career. >> i remember when you came in here we used to call him baby doocy, because he is steve's son but now you have earned all your stripes and been a terrific correspondent. all of us in this room have always been very impressed with your work. i wonder how you are handling all this. they are dragging you around like some piece of tv meat too. >> i am very excited. i have never been as excited about anything as i am tonight. >> not even christmas? >> well. >> peter doocy, thanks for coming in. >> proud of you. >> shangthanks, shep.

the judge can now take this off the table. >> there are four options? >> the first option is the judge could direct a verdict of not guilty. she could undo the trial verdict where they found her guilty and she could actually direct a not guilty verdict. the second option is that she could actually then also reverse what the jury did the first time around and say, you know what, i'm going to order a new trial. the third option is it that she could take the death penalty off the table. the fourth option is she could do nothing. she could decide this evidence is not that important, not that egregious and just decide not to do anything. >> we know, they have admitted there is some porn on there. >> they have. it looks bad. texas could be facing perjury charges. they made a big deal out of this during the trial. the government argued there was no porn on this computer. it undermined arias credibility. if the government hadn't argued that at trial, it wouldn't be

such a big issue. because they did, they did try to undermine her credibility, it now becomes an issue. >> ashley merchant live with us. we will let our viewers know the minute we know. >> this whole scene outside our building has changed a lot. this is 47th street. this is 6th avenue. the diamond center on the northeast center of that. this is the diamond district. normally, traffic would be headed towards times square over there. lots of people would be outside to get you to come in and buy diamonds. somebody has attempted an armed robbery right here in the middle of the day at 3:00 on a warm fall day. in they went. >> if there is a more secure area than this street, i have never seen it.
12:50 pm
>> there is a camera on everiant hill. there are conflicting reports. police do not talk about what happens on this street. they do not talk about it. no talking. there are conflicting and got what they wanted and left or whether they came in and got stuck in there and now there's a barricade. it doesn't look like there was because a few minutes ago people were walking around. now they set up the police tape. i don't think this vehicle has anything to do with anything. it just happened to be there. the scene is down there. they just brought in a huge blue and white new york police bus, full-on bus down there. but when you see a police officer like that one standing around casually that does not suggest to me there are hostages involved here or this police officer here. not hos statages involved. it looks to us that maybe whatever has happened has happened. this is one thing i bet you a lot on, a lot, whatever they got here, whatever they got we'll

12:55 pm
took place, may, in fact, have tried or may try to exit from that location into an adjacent building. i've also been told that the police have looked at surveillance video nearly half an hour of it and they continue here on the scene. police bus just pulled down the street a few moments ago. here you can see police wearing what looks like paramilitary equipment. so we've not had an official statement from the police regarding specifically what they believe is taking place here, but from what i'm witnessing here on the street, it clearly looks like there is concern that the bad guys, the robbers, are still in this location. they may be trapped in the building. they may be trying to exit this location into an adjacent building. so the situation here remains tense. both sides of the street, completely sealed off. there is police tape here. one thing worth noting is that there was the vterans day
