5:35 am
and author of the big black lie. he joins us from the courthouse. thanks for coming on. what's the point of the reverend al sharpton going to ferguson? >> tucker, the absurdity of this is only exceeded by barack obama's ego and al sharpton's tax debt. this is the most blatant political ploy ever. the only reason he is limiting it to 25 cities is he can't get enough funding to go into more cities. i have never seen anything like this. we have gotten emails about, you know, one of my children goes to school here. and we have gotten emails that the schools are shutting down, you know, over this nonsense. look. this is strictly what i call in my book race pimping: al sharpton has to do this in order to remain relevant. it's really that simple. >> what does it say to you that al sharpton says is he going to be protesting, calling for these nonviolent protests, hopefully they will be, regardless of the outcome, what does that say to you?
5:36 am
>> well, what it says is that and i said this early on, it didn't matter what was going to happen in the outcome of the grand jury. al sharpton was going to protest. if they found him guilty, he was going to protest that see, i was right. this is what happens when w. with the police. of course when they find out that darren wilson wasn't guilty, then they have to say that there is no justice in america. there is no in between for the left. and the unfortunate thing is if they really wanted to protest, they need to protest all the democrats that have led to this unfortunate situation. claire mccaskill, lacy clay, barack obama and others. all of these people have led the situation not only just limited to ferguson, it's all over america where these kids are left in desperate situations where they can't find jobs and things like this. so, sharpton needs this. he needs it, i guess, to pay off his tax debt because there is no reason to do this. >> so meanwhile, the people who actually live in ferguson are bearing the brunt of these protests. here is a school

superintendent from the school system tiffany and derson talking about the fliers kids in her schools are getting. she said fliers encouraging kids to be disruptive and encouraging to think of police as quote pigs. that was disturbing, she said. those are being passed out by some the out-of-state groups coming to protest in ferguson. they have a different agenda, no? these groups? >> no doubt about it. there were school signs about two weeks ago that were essentially saying very much the same thing, tucker, and the parents made them take them down and some parents took their kids out of school. we quote a letter that essentially said in all the inner city schools and this is a tragedy. patients are getting letters saying hey, listen, we expect eruption. and it's happening over the death of a kid who did something that led to his own shooting. the amount of energy that's going into this, the wasted funded that could be going to things that mean something to inner city programs to help these kids and al sharpton's organizing

into account any sales taxes any taxes the family might pay. $20,000 we are paying as taxpayers. >> but, wait, wait, hold on this is a nation of immigrants. stop it with your numbers and math and confusing rationale linear thinking like that. please. let's get back to the heart strings. so what can you do about it as the secretary of state of kansas or any state official? what can do you about this? >> well, the thing the states can do is bring a lawsuit. and that's what i already did on behalf of 10 ice agents in the state of mississippi. we are in federal court right now. we already had a federal judge rule last year that this does violate federal law. tucker, will is a law on the books already that says, certain ice agents or all ice agents must place certain illegal aliens into removal proceedings. not may but shall place them into proceedings and obama has been ordering ice agents to break that federal law. so there is a very clear legal path to challenging

5:52 am
for our family feast. good morning. thanks for joining us. >> good morning. i'm so excited to be here and talk turkey time. >> you know, turkey -- everybody loves it, kind of, because it end up being dry all the time. >> i love turkey. it doesn't have to be dry and it doesn't have to be stressful. i think that's something on thanksgiving that everybody kind of freaks out over this bird. and i'm telling you, it can be super simple. i've got a method to cut the cooking time in half. and it's called spach cocking. i know it's a funny name. you take your turkey, you flip it over and you get some poultry shears. you can get them at any kitchen supply store. they're basically really sharp scissors for heavy-duty. you cut out the backbone of the bird and you flip it over like this and then salt and pepper it. you kind of take your hand and push down on the breast to break the breastbone and spread it out. then i make a try brine. i'm sure you've heard of a wet
5:53 am
brine. pretty traditional. >> yeah. >> but you can get kind of waterlogged with your turkey, then you have to find a big place to put the turkey. for dry brine it's some some salt, pepper, garlic powder and onion powder. mix it together. you can add paprika to this, chili powder, whatever your family's taste is. >> and a dry brine still gives you a juicy turkey? >> very juicy. it enhances its natural flavors and tenderness. you do that for a couple days. so what i do is put it on there, wrap it in plastic wrap, do that a couple days, then take the plastic wrap off, let it sit in the refrigerator for 24 hours if with no covering and that skin's going to get nice and dried out and then it can be really crispy. so for this, we have an herb butter, butt we are a bunch of different herbs, salt and pepper, you kind of lift up the skin and push it under the skin. >> where does that name come from? i'm not the queen of the kitchen, but --
5:54 am
>> i'm not sure where it comes from. somebody with a good sense of humor. so you want to get that butter all underneath, and i do the same on a traditional turkey with that. amend then i take it and i put it on top of my stuffing. just like that. and this goes into the oven for only 90 minutes. >> you're kidding me. >> it's a really quick way to cook a turkey. >> obviously it has to be thawed out before you cut it in half and do all that. that what's that prosz says like? >> if you have a frozen turkey, get on it now. it takes about a day for every four pounds. then you also want to have time to do your dry brine. if you have a frozen turkey, put it in the fridge today, let it thaw. >> you get up thanksgiving morning and a completely frozen turkey. >> if you plan on deep frying your turkey, make sure it's not frozen at all because you'll be in for trouble.
5:55 am
>> do you have another method also? >> for our traditional bird, i do the same with our herb butter under the skin and inside i put a lemon and an onion. on our food network special for the thanksgiving at bobby's, we went back and forth, do we stuff the bird or not. he's against the stuffing. i was always for it and he kind of converted me because i think you get more even cooking if it's not stuffed. now i just do an onion and a lemon. then i make this special basting broth. so chicken broth, orange juice, and maple syrup. and maple syrup is really the key to get that golden brown color. >> makes it pretty. >> yeah. the sugar is caramelized. i baste this about every 30 minutes and that's going to help keep it juicy. if you look at your turkey and see the legs or the wings are starting to get done too quickly, just at the present time them with a little bit of foil and that will make them not get burned. and i also, you know, just throw away -- you know how it comes

good morning, friends. today is saturday, the 22nd of november, 2014. i'm anna kooiman. all eyes on ferguson this morning where overnight two people were arrested for trying to get bombs. we are live on the ground as an entire nation awaits the grand jury's decision. do you believe in magic? you can call it an early thanksgiving miracle. you know there's 30,000 e-mails that low lois lerner wrote? we were told they were gone, never to be found, lost. poof, they've been pulled out of a hat like a rabbit. it turns out they do exist, and they're going to tell us what exactly she did to target conservative groups. details ahead. tucker, then a disturbing site on a college campus. look at this. >> america is causing the deaths in iraq and syria. america is to blame for the death of syria. >> [ bleep ]. >> excuse me?
6:01 am
>> yeah, no words for isis, but students attack israel? the fourth hour of fox and friend on this saturday morning starts right now. this is going to be the best hour in the history of the show. >> shoot for the moon, maybe you'll land on a star. i like the way you think. >> got to live up to it. >> you are so nice. good morning, mike jerrick. >> good morning, tucker. >> we have a magical story to tell you. you must remember months ago when the congress was saying to lois lerner, first of all, tell us what you did, second, what happened to all the e-mails you wrote? >> they're gone. >> and the position of the irs commissioner was they're gone, never to be recovered. turns out they have been recovered. >> how many? >> about 30,000. >> 30,000 e-mails. >> so was the government lying to us all along? we had governor mike huckabee on the show earlier. he says this. >> we know this government has
6:02 am
lied to us repeatedly about the irs. lois lerner said we didn't target anybody. we know they did. we didn't target just conservative groups. primarily, they did. gee, the dog ate my homework and happened to ooet the homework of every irs employee who had anything to do with this. i think it's time to get rid of the irs. i'm not being facetious here. if we enangted the fair tax, one of the things we would do is repeal the 16th amendment, get rid of the irs, and there wouldn't be this rogue, thug criminal enterprise known as the irs. >> tax collectors f s for polit purposes? this is much worse than anything nixon even attempted to do. >> you really weighed in on this. a ton of e-mails and facebook responses. kathy on facebook says, of course the government has been lying. that's what this administration does. anyone with half a brain knew the emails were not missing. >> and kathy says, but of course they only turn up right after
6:03 am
the midterm election and long before the next presidential. >> such a good point. you could haven't a better time to show up if you're a democrat. wouldn't take this long for the irs to find problems with our tax returns and slap people with audits. that's an excellent point. >> mike rodgers. >> 30,000 e-mails, this is a bombshell, but at the same time, how do we know that the government isn't still lying to us and that they haven't been scrubbed for pertinent information that would be damning to lois lerner and the irs snirs. >> that's the problem with all of this? the problem with the obama administration using a federal agency for political ends. it wrecks everybody's trust in the honesty of government. and that's a bad thing. >> we thought the big story today was going to be the ferguson, missouri, situation and immigration, but now this bombshell about the e-mails and the irs. but speaking of ferguson, missouri, unrest continuing overnight in ferguson as we await a decision from that grand jury. >> the city bracing for the verdict that is expected to come down any day now. so what's the feeling on the ground? >>. >> jamie:ing us now our old friend, fox news contributor rod
6:04 am
wheelan in ferguson. what do you see? what's going on there? >> reporter: good morning, guys. right now things are kind of quiet, as a matter of fact, very quiet. last night i drove around the city of ferguson right around 2:00 a.m. last night and i can tell you it was only about 50 to 75 protesters and they were all cementered around the ferguson police department and they had signs but there was no rioting, no violence. so what's going to happen today? i can tell you exactly what's going to happen. we're going to continue to see the numbers increase i believe of individuals protesting, but i do think the protests are going to be very civil. the other thing that we hope happens today is that the grand jury will release their decision at some point either today or tomorrow, maybe earlier this week. but in any event, right now things are very calm, things are very quiet and hopefully it will stay like that the rest of the weekend. >> so grand jury has not made a decision? i thought they were going to do it yesterday afternoon. >> reporter: that's right. they have not made a decision. from what we're being told, as you can see i'm right here by
6:05 am
the courthouse and there's a number of people out here waiting. here's the thing that's really interesting. the jury met yesterday up until arnold 7:00 p.m. or 8:00 p.m. in the evening, then they were dismissed for the holiday. so the question becomes, you know, did they make a decision? what we're being told is that it's a possibility a decision may have been made and that it's just not going to be announced until either tomorrow or late they are week. we don't know that for sure, but that's why everybody is here waiting, guys. >> okay, rod. thank you. ferguson, missouri. other big news to tell you about. we start with a fox news alert in this morning. another gitmo prisoner set free. the u.s. department of defense releasing a member of al qaeda to the government of saudi arabia. on thursday another five detainees were also released bringing the number still in gitmo down to 142. and another "fox news alert," new this morning, we just learned about a british teenager arrested for preparing for acts of terrorism. the 19-year-old is detained at
