of people away on stretchers. at least 20 cars, at least. >> nowy road conditions are to blame for the accident and one driver was traveling too fast for messy road conditions. >> and many shoppers are on the hunt for black friday. some employees are demanding better pay and benefits. william is live with that story, what's happening? >> the workers are in green and join the by other demonstrators from the united food and commercial worker ares union. and the police are enforcing a court order to keep the demonstrators out of the store. this is a third year in a row that the union held a protest outside of the country. and this is video from earlier today. they are complaining about what the retailers are failing to pay 15 an hour.

turkish president for taking in those 1.6 million refugees from iraq and syria. now, ed, the main reason for the trip to turkey when it was originally planned was building bridges with oort docksed christians who split with rome nearly 1,000 years ago. ties with the vatican can still strained, and also turkish christians feel besieged by their own government to a certain extent due to limitations on their seminaries. there's much work to do there with christians. the timing of the trip is such that with the rise of isis, the pope will be looking for ways with the help of turks to combat violent extremism. he impressed upon leaders to do more against isis violence. he said fanaticism and fundamentalism as well as irrationale fears will foster discrimination and they need to be countered by the solidarity of all believers. respect for human life and religious freedom. now, the president cede the pontiff at his newly completed

just mentioned, in the first hour, their stores were open yesterday on thanksgiving. the chain nationwide was selling 1,800 tvs a minute and 2,000 video games a minute. that's a lot of tvs. that's a lot of video games. homewares are really big for target today as well. they say the top three items in that category, a keurig k40 brewer, dyson dc 50 vacuum and a kitchen aid plus stand mixer. at the mall of america, which has everything, they say 100,000 shoppers showed up between 5:00 p.m. last night after turkey and 1:00 a.m. today on black friday, so officials there think that their one day record of 230,000 shoppers may now be in sight, and at other malls like this one, the pace has been picking up kind of slow and steady, but gaining steam, and that is all part of the plan. listen to this. >> it's the tortuous and the hair. we're here for the long thaul. we're not just here for 20 minutes of deals. we're here for great value

to year, including deductions for small business giving and charitable investments. it doesn't extend the child tax credit for working poor. senate majority leader harry reid got the best deal he could. it was not enough, however, for the white house. a spokesman for republican senator mitch mcconnell what takes over the majority leaders post from next year inside a written statement "this democrat infighting is having negative consequences on american families bottom line and slowing incentives for companies to start hiring again. don stewart said the country needs a president who will work with congress on bipartisan solutions. lea. >> and, wendell, seems like the president has some unusual allies, right? >> he does. this package would cost $440 billion over ten years, and the veto threat is uniting liberal democrats and budget hawks. the head of the committee for responsible federal budget objected to the cost saying every special interest group is protecting its favorite tax breaks. the white house objects because

inspector general finding thousands of documents that may show the irs was sharing private taxpayer information with the white house. the legal group that sued to get those documents telling the washington examiner "this disclosure coming only after we sued the inspector general's office over its refusal to acknowledge whether such investigations took place. and after the court ordered them to reveal whether or not documents existed. signals that the white house may have made significant efforts to obtain taxpayers' personal information. michelle fields is a correspondent for pg tv and a fox news contributor. michelle, i wonder what you think this shows us as this story has gone on and on for many months, why would the white house be getting some of this private taxpayer information? >> well, it's not confirmed yet. there's believed to be up to 2,500 documents that will show this, but if it is confirmed, they're going to have a lot of questions to answer for, but it also brings up the competence of the irs. back in june the irs commissioner said they had done

everything possible to uncover lois lerner's documents in all these. instead it was the inspector general that found all of these emails and documents. he was brought on board to restore credibility to the irs, but it turns out that the irs was not eitherotology look for it or could not find it, and it was an outside source that found all of this information. >> michelle, the white house has repeatedly said there have been these questions before. they've answers them. is this just the president's critics trying to keep a story that's been dead, trying to keep it alive? >> a lot of the media doesn't want to cover the story, and they did not cover the fact that 30,000 emails from lois lerner have been discovered. there's obviously truth to the story. there's something there. >> there's information coming out now that the republicans are taking over the senate as well. this is largely a house republican investigation. the white house has been pretty adept at pushing back every time

thieves smash a vehicle on to a chicago retailer. they drove a transaction through the wall of this highend clothing store. about 20 bandits swarmed in making off with pricey jeans, prada shoes and more. the owner says the robbery will cost him about $100,000 in inventory and damage. not counting black friday dollars that he is now missing out on. earlier this week thieves rammed a stolen minivan into another chicago store and robbed it.

they've really go got no education when they can take those boards down. >> they sent out an advisory that despite all the demonstrations, the shopping areas will be safe through this holiday shopping period. ed. >> let's hope for 134 calm and we it get mike tobin back for his family with the holiday weekend. see you, mike. >> meantime, critics blasting what they're calling inconsistencies in the testimony of witnesses to the ferguson grand jury. just check out some of the accounts of the shooting of 18-year-old michael brown. for instance, one friend of brown's, who was with him testified that the shot caused brown's body to do like a jerking movement, not to where it looked like he got hit in his back, but i knew it maybe could have grazed him. another witness saying "i saw him in the middle of the street on his knee with his hands up.

the officer came up to him and shot him in his head and he fell." a different witness saying brown was on his feet testifying and i could say for sure he never put his hands up. after he did, his body gesture. he ran towards the officer full charge. another man, a friend of brown's, saying he was on his knees with his hands in the air, and then regarding officer darren wilson, that witness adds i seen him shoot him in the head. tag nelson, criminal defense attorney and former prosecutor, and jennifer brapt, family law and twens attorney. >> to look at possible criminal charges in this case. when looking at these thousands of pages of documents that were released, what do you make of this, and how is this going to factor in all these inkibt sis? how will they factor? ?

>> the more people you have tefrg, the more inconsistent things are going to be, and every time you see an inconsistency, it's more and more justification for the final result that happened here. it just -- when there's this much going on, and it's so divided on racial lines, obviously the grand jury did exactly what they had to do, and that's going to affect holder's ability to do anything. in the future. >> jennifer, you know, there are some accounts that apparently people weren't actually witnessing the incident as it happened. does all this information -- does this muddy the water moving forward? >> here when you have so many different witnesses allegedly watching the same incident, you're going to get different accounts. then you have witnesses who say that they were there, and then are proven later not to be there. the grand jury is looking at all

of this information, and their job is to assess who is credible and who is not. they had thousands of pages of documents. you really have to frus the process, and that's why we have the grand jury process to have this go on and people to determine whether or not someone should be enditd or not. i definitely think holder is going to have a hard time moving forward with this case after you've had this kind of very, very thorough, almost unexpected kind of thorough investigation. this is not and that usually happens, neen a grand jury investigation. these people took in a long amount of time and looked at a lot of information in coming up with their decision. >> all right. to jennifer's point, federal prosecutors would have to prove that wilson intended to violate brown's constitutional rights. how would prosecutors go about building that case? >> they won't make that case in a trillion years.

>> everything that took place with officer wilson took place in about maybe 90 seconds max. if you look at the alleged victim in this case, what do we have? we have smoking marijuana, we have a robbery, we have at least a second felony where he reaches in the car of a police officer and tussles for a gun. you know, there's just no way this is a civil rights violation. >> i would suspect there is a black-white issue that's unspoken of, and it needs to be taken care of, but this is not the poster boy for that issue. this is not the opportunity that we can get to where we need to be in black, white relations. this kid committed at least two felonies in the last ten minutes of his life. there's no civil rights violation here. zero. >> all right, jennifer. now, the racial issues were mentioned. the justice department is also looking into ferguson police department. there's investigations to the department to determine if there

were some issues there. where can we expect this to go? >> i think what is happening is that it's starting a very important dialogue on race relations. people are talking about this in the communities, in the streets, in various communities. not just ferguson. people are looking at relations and trying to hopefully improve relations. that's what really needs to come out of this. i'm sure the justice department will do a thorough investigation, and they are going to look into this, and we have the grand jury investigation. it's getting people talking. >> i think that is what really needs to come out of this, and i think that's what people are really in the communities are really some people are really trying to do this on a grassroots level where it really needs to begin. >> certainly starting a dialogue, and hopefully something positive can come out of this. tad nelson, jennifer brant,

that's the latest number we got during demonstrations east of cairo earlier today. now, egyptian security forces have really been bracing for large scale anti-government protests by groups opposed to president fatal. today 107 alleged members of the muslim brotherhood. again, remember, banned by the government. many of those members imprisoned were arrested on suspicion of planning attacks to coincide with today's demonstrations. another group is called the front has called for a islam youth uprising. while thousands have taken to the streets for these protests, we're hearing again that security forces really have cairo and other cities and towns in egypt locked down at this point. terror concerns remain a big concern.
