targeting retailers in no peace, no profit demonstrations. and mike to bin in ferguson, missouri. what do we know about officer wilson's resignation. >> they are learning about the letter through the media, it is confirmed in a copy of the resignation letter is made public. and reading in part. i am told my continued employment may put the police officers and resident of the city of ferguson at risk which is a circumstance i captain allow. in the letter, officer wilson hoped to continue in police work but said safety is paramount and hopes his resignation will allow the city to begin healing. >> so what were all of the demonstrations there today? >> reporter: the demonstrations ruled the second part of the day. the naacp gathered 200 people at

through another evening without violence. julie, back to you. >> president obama delivered on his promise to go it alone on immigration. but there have been months of secret closed doors meetings where top obama officials were directed to find out how far the president could go legally. the new york times reported that top leaders and including homeland security jay johnson were instructed to use the president's legal authorities to the fullest and what resulted from the meetings was the plan to alter deportation policy for estimated 5 million illegal imgrants and some of which will be eligible for work permits and the move engaged republicans on capitol hill. peter, what else are we learning today about the way the executive action came to be. >> reporter: there were a few key moments that cemented the decision for the president to go

around congress. detailed in a new york times report and immigration activist who marched and they didn't give an inch. the times said the meeting department go well because the president couldn't make changes that would alter the rate of deportation. and then the president pulled speaker boehner aside after eric cantor lost his primary to a relative unknown because constituents were concerned about the issue of immigration. boehner told the president the chances of a house bill passing an immigration narrowed to a vanishing point. the president and jay johnson met to make sure the full muscle was behind executive order. and here's how the president summed up the action the day he signed. it

government officials deny syrian activist claims that isis used their territory to launch an attack on the city of ka bani. most civilians have managed to escape but a small number of syrian rebels continue to battle isis for control. and we are following developments out of afghanistan and following a deadly taliban attack in kabul. two people were killed after homicide bombers and gunman stormed a home for foreign aide workers. officials say that security forces managed to rescue six hostages held inside. and the taliban claiming responsibility for another deadly attack. and this one happening in the southern helmand province.

after a domestic violence scandal that saw him getting banned for life, ray rice could be heading back to the nfl. the former balt built raven's running back winning the appeal to overturn his lifetime suspension. the arbitrator agreed he was know punished twice for attacking his fiance in a hotel elevator. dom, what are his chances of picked up by orth team? >> reporter: it is a month to go until the season ends. tony richardson who was the former two- time pro player believes that rice's prospects are dismal. >> i think he's toxic and he admitted a mistake and i think he is be play. but i don't think he will play in the national football league

reunion four years in the making. they found the 13-year-old boy, hidden behind a false wall early saturday morning and it was the second visit to the house on a welfare check. police failed to find anything the occupiants allowed them in the home. >> upon the initial contact they denied knowledge of who the juvenile was. >> reporter: police received another call from the teen's mother sending them back to the house. while the police were at the home, the teen called his mom with his cell phone. the mother conveyed the information to police. she was able to give them more specific details on where the child was located and they were able to find the child and located behind the false wall inside of the interior of the house. gregory gene, the boy's father
