community you're going to run into people who have far more radical viewpoints than al sharpton. i don't have any problem with that. it's sharpton's history in terms of the lies -- just the other day "the new york times" put out this thing he owes 4 million bucks in terms of back taxes and liens. that stuff i just find it insulting -- let me finish. i find it insulting to black folks that you would select as president that guy and say that's my emissary to the black community. but he's done this because he can't stand jesse jackson. >> there are plenty of other leaders in the black community that he could have chosen, but his comfort level seems to be with more radical people with radical views that i would argue are out of touch with the mainstream. let's go to the president. on every high profile racial case he's weighed in on. cambridge police, trayvon martin, this case, he's 0 for 3, a three-time losing on the wrong side and rushing to judgment. here's the proof. >> i don't know, not having been in and not seeing all the facts,

what role race played in that, but i think it's fair to say, number one, any of us would be pretty angry. number two, that the cambridge police acted stupidly. my main message is to the parents of trayvon martin. you know, if i had a son, he'd look like trayvon. i know the world also took notice of the small american city of ferguson, missouri, where a young man was killed and a community was divided. so yes, we have our own racial and ethnic tensions. >> juan, let me go through this. the cambridge police didn't act stupidly. traben, we had an eyewitness that saw trayvon grounding and pounding on george zimmerman. hold on. and in this case where he had we have ethnic and racial tensions. in every case, mr.

shoot. there's one prlem. eyewitnesses to the shooting of michael brown said, and i'll quote one of them, he was charging at officer wilson like a football player with his head down. so he didn't have his hands up. but this is what they're saying. >> hands up, don't shoot. >> hands up, don't shoot. >> hands up, don't shoot. to all americans who are disturbed by the demonstrations that are taking place across this nation, i want you to remember these four words, no justice, no peace. >> the fact that our country, the greatest country in the world, remains mired in race relations issues in the year 2014 is an embarrassment. we really should consider taking a long look in the mirror before we go to other countries lecturing to them about the need for democracy and tolerance.

>> dr. sowell, it's a catchy slogan, one big problem with it. it's fiction. michael brown, according to the eyewitnesses does not have his hands up. what's your reaction? why are members of congress repeating something that they know is not true? >> oh, for political reasons. i thought of joseph goebels doctrine, people will believe any lie if it's repeated often enough and loud enough. they're repeating it often enough and loud enough. it will pay off for them personally politically. people who are out to forward their political careers say and do things that have no relationship whatever to reality or to anybody else's interests but their own. i think what happened in ferguson, missouri, it is going to adversely affects blacks yet unborn who will still be paying the price for it 10, 20 years from now. >> how are you -- go ahead, finish, sir. i'm sorry. >> because you won't have businesses there that you had

before. i've seen this happen in other cities. detroit, is a classic example. harlem. run through the whole list of them. a city doesn't get over this kind of stuff in a few years. >> yeah. i was bringing this up with juan williams. the president weighing in on high profile race cases. he's a constitutional lawyer. before any evidence is presented, he weighed in on the cambridge police, he weighed in on the trayvon martin shooting with george zimmerman and he weighed in on this case and he does so without any evidence, any knowledge. i don't know when the make of this considering that it has an impact certainly on the community's mind-set and each individual case, does it not? >> it does. and i think it has the impact that he wants it to have. he wants to spread paranoia, if possible. paranoia will get out the vote. because he is a politician. what amazes me is how long it has taken so many people to see through this man.

welcome back to "hannity." protesters rioted in ferguson, yet the violent death of a man in st. louis sunday has received very little media coverage. police say that 32-year-old

zemir begic was in his vehicle on sunday morning when, quote, several juveniles approached his car and began damaging it. begic then exited the vehicle and the teens attacked him with hammers and he later died of the wounds. city officials say there's no evidence the crime was based on race, but the victim's brother told fox news.com that he wants authorities to, quote, investigate every possible motive. here is lapd mark fuhrman and nypd detective bo dietl. you have these kids bludgeoning this guy with a hammer. is the president going to send three white house representatives to his funeral? is the president going to comment on it? are they going to have a meeting with al sharpton. will eric holder weigh? or will it go away? >> there was an attack by these kids but the guy got away. now they've viciously killed this guy with a hammer. people were talking.

another kid that was shot during a car window during the riots when they had the riot last tuesday. these things are all occurring. people have to realize who is going to come? the police have to be there. they didn't say anything about what the race of these kids were with the hammers that smashed the guy's head in. and right away all of a sudden now we're at a point where there is other crime. and this was not a racial crime with michael brown. that's the biggest problem. >> they reported, i'll throw this to mark fuhrman, we came here from freedom from the serbs, now we're getting killed by african-americans. that's not fair. they don't even mention race in this case, mark. what's your reaction? will we hear from the white house? >> of course we're not going to hear from the white house, and of course it's a racial case. you don't have three juveniles running around with hammers and they just kind of by chance were damaging this car that's stopped at a stop sign.

he was targeted because of his race. and i've gone online and there's actually somebody that videotaped from their phone the crime scene after the fact and they're talking about the statements that were being yelled before, during and after this incident. and it has to do with kill the white people. is it true? i don't know. but it sure begs the argument why was he killed? robbery, car jacking? no, neither one. he was killed because he was at the wrong place and he was the wrong color, racial crime. >> let's go charles barkley's comments, they've gotten a lot of play. i give him a lot of credit because there were people willing to rush to judgment who didn't have any facts at hand. not charles barkley. >> [ bleep ] those aren't real black people. those are [ bleep ]. no, real black people, they're not out there looting. you have to be really careful

with the cops man, because if it wasn't for the cops we'd be living in the wild, wide west in our neighborhoods. we can't pick out certain incidents that don't go our way and act like the cops are all bad. i hate when we do that. because think about it, you know how bad some of these neighborhoods would be if it wasn't for the cops? there's no excuse for those people to be out there burning down people's business, burning up police cars. that serves no purpose. >> he said more than that. >> yeah, he talked about it, too, he's talking about when there are young black men that want to study and get ahead, all of a sudden the ones that really don't want to get ahead, say, oh, you're acting white now because you're talking too clear and you're getting too much of an education, you're becoming white. there is no white or black. this country is for black and white. there's no color sequence here. and you want to know something? charles barkley hit the nail exactly on the head. this is america, and people

should get educated, people should be able to speak correctly and you know what the problem again it goes back -- i'm sorry to say -- it goes to the rap music and all that nonsense. and with the language that's used there and just goes right back into the neighborhoods. and this is how the -- >> if we want to look at the socioeconomic issues involved with this, mark, you have to admit inner city schools are horrible. the liberal welfare state has not worked. we've got 50 million americans in poverty, 50 million americans on food stamps. the american dream isn't there for them today. i would argue that those very people who say they have a monopoly of passion for the poor and minority communities, their poll sis have hurt these communities. then they come in as a savior and they whip people up into a frenzy creating the impression that they'll get a verdict that would never come in this case. was there any chance that a grand jury will come up with some type of charge? i don't think so. >> if they actually paid

attention to the evidence, certainly not. if they were being held hostage and they actually took the bait, of course they come back with an indictment. you said something interesting about the inner city, sean. i worked that part of city of los angeles, the greater part of my career. i'll tell you this. 80% of the people are trying to get their kids in school, get them educated. they're trying to go to work, trying to work two jobs, trying to not catch a bullet in a drive i had by when they eat dinner. they're locked down at night. those are the people we don't hear. just like good muslims who can't come forward because they'll be target. we're hearing the gang members, the hoodlums, the thugs, the activists, the anarchists. >> these are the people who sat on the grand jury, these are the eyewitnesses in the neighborhood that are afraid they may be identified. >> that's right. >> but they were committed to the truth because they want their neighborhood safer. >> exactly. >> and you watch today, mark, in

republican as far as i know is unbelievable to me. as far as jesse jackson is concerned, ferguson is not selma and michael brown is not emmett till. there was no racial profiling here. there was no racist police officer here. the militarization, quote, unquote, of the police force had nothing to do with this. this police officer was acting in self-defense. and michael brown was the perpetrator here. now, this country's being turned upside down by this president and attorney general and their surrogates, so the question is why, and i'll tell you why, among other reasons. in the black community under our first black president and first black attorney general, it's miserable, high unemployment. the schools sti s stink. and they oppose school choice. what else is going on? black on black crime is through the move. nine out of ten blacks are murdered by blacks. you have gang violence in cities

like chicago. what are they doing about it? nothing. when they met on monday, did they talk about it? not a word. what about the shop owners burned out in ferguson? were they invited to speak on monday? nothing. so now obama and holder and the surrogates are doing what? they're undermining our police officers, all police officers regardless of race pushing what, an agenda to nationalize local police forces. why? is obama doing such a great job? he's doing a disastrous job. this has nothing to do with racial profiling, nothing to do with racist cop, yet this is what they burp up and spat out. >> as a lawyer, i would argue that if you don't go after -- use all the evidence that we have to go after these people that were looting, the arsonists in this case, those that were inciting in this case, you're

enforcement. look at the faces, there's a lot of faces. find out who they are. hunt them down, prosecute them in throw them in jail for arson, looting, rioting, all kinds of felonies. that's number one. number two, i hear these phony fraudulent lawyers on tv all the time talking about the grand jury. this matter should have never gone to the grand jury. the reason the prosecutor took it to the grand jury was to try to turn down the temperature that eric holder had held up. so he took it to the grand jury just for an effort to try to ease tensions. fact of the matter is there was never nothing here period, all the same. >> well, the stories, the evidence was overwhelming and compelling. you were never going to get a guilty verdict if it went to trial by a jury in the first place. everybody knew that. even eric holder. but he went out with his irresponsible comments. i want to look at some of the numbers, statistics.

because the president, eric holder, al sharpton, they all claim to have a monopoly on passion for people, minorities, number of people killed by law enforcement by a firearm, 471. the number of black americans killed by law enforcement, 123. whites, hispanics, 326. but if you look at black on black crime and in particular murder, look at that number. it's happening 90% of the killings are happening, it's black on black crime. if the president really cared, if eric holder really cared, wouldn't they be going into cities like newark, nurmg, the president's home town, that really scared. wouldn't they care about that. >> i'll tell you why, the hard truth is they don't care. they're ideologues pushing an agenda. they're trying to nationalize something that never happened. they won't go into these towns

because they're run by democrats and democrat policies and liberal policies that break up families that promote des tugs, that subsidize the wrong kinds of things and attack the right kinds of things. so what's obama and what holder going to do? they're not circumspect. they're not going to look in the merier and talk about what they've done and what these mayors in other communities have done. they're just not going to do it. so they advance an ajend ka. but the fact of the matter is what michael brown did. what michael brown did in ferguson, missouri, resulted in his death. the police officers were responding to an attack against him and he feared for his life and that's rightly so. what about these statistics for how many police officers die or are injured in the line of duty? over 100 die every single year. >> it's a horrific thing.

chief on last night. and the police chief said to me that they're going to take this videotape and they're going to go after everybody that they can identify. do you want them to prosecute the people that are destroying your 25 years worth of work here? do you want them arrested? do you want them charged? >> sure, i mean, people have to pay the price of what they did. i will believe it when i see that. >> so 25 years of your life, i'm stunned. how much -- have you been able to put an estimate on the damage this time and then the damage the previous two times? how much did this cost, all of this looting and madness? >> it is not only the dollar amount. it's just the, you know, the psychological effect that i don't feel safe any more in my own neighborhood where i used to be doing any business the last 25 years. so the dollar amount, each time they hit my store, it runs into
