some schools closed, others on lockdown, cops stepping up security in public places, including hospitals. people who knew both the ex-wife and her accused killer told producers here on the fox news deck that they feared for their own lives. but now that the manhunt appears to be over attention turns to the rampage and what would make a decorated war veteran snap. our senior correspondent rick levenle that on breaking news coverage from pennsylvania this afternoon. what's the scene there now, rick? >> well, shep, when we first got here there were heavily armed members of the montgomery s.w.a.t. team and canine unit. we believe the body of bradley stone is located. we're told that he did shoot himself in the head, but they're working to confirm his identity according to the montgomery county district attorney's office. they have a news conference scheduled one hour from now where we believe we'll get that confirmation that, in fact, they have located the man who was wanted for killing his ex-wife

windowless jet. and so that testings has to happen. that's probably the toughest testing not just get it up there, even just getting it going mac 5, but getting it to pull away from the earth's gravitational pull. one of the toughest things any space agency has to do. obviously the european space agency is interested because we've suddenly all become interested in space travel again. we had that orion flight. >> you get up to a level where there's not as much friction and you can fly faster. >> right. you have to get to get into orbit, it takes that extra push and they're saying this plane can get from first of all doing the four-hour amazing flight but getting into space to go -- it says in orbit. i'm not sure what it's going to do up there and what that will do for travel. talking about doing projects. this is another reusable aircraft. 200 flights on this aircraft. again, why the space agency is interested. >> is the idea that we would be able to move people around?

i mean some billionaire wants to get to shanghai for dinner? >> i don't know. we had the virgin galactic, spaceship 2, testing it like crazy. the unfortunate accident. but that is proof of how hard this is for whether it's consumer travel, commercial travel or it's for industry and space. and it's not clear really what these people want to do, but the existence of new engine technology is very important and i'm sure not just the european space agency but i bet nasa is looking at it too. it's a cool idea. >> here's what i'm sure of. there's going to be a lot more testing in the days, weeks, months, years ahead. we'll follow it. a serious topic we would like to discuss with you. we reported the sony hacking story has take onn a new and potentially dangerous turn. a message out from the, quote, guardians of peace, unquote, the group that claims it's responsible for the hacking of the tone sony pictures site, warning of an attack ones the movie theaters that screen the comedy "the interview."

their warning included reference to attacks of 9/11, past messages about memos of budgets for sony films salary information, employee pedcle records, social security numbers an embarrassing stuff for sony executives and actors and all the rest. when this group puts out a message like this saying watch out for 9/11 style stuff at the theaters that are going to screen this, are we go, there's nothing to this or something spells. >> i think it's an unknown. these are hackers, right. we thought there's been a lot of information that said these are not north korean hackers. why would they be attacking anybody who's going to see this movie? however, you have to understand these are people, you can't see their face when they're making these threats. explaining to someone else, are they angry or are they smirking? these are hackers who their arsenal is in technology, in the computer. that's how they attack. the kinds of attack they're talking about i doubt they're capable of, but they are basically tweaking people right

now because they kind of got the attention of the world right now. they've got the attention of major corporations, obviously sony, and so it's freaking everyone out. >> yeah. >> it is honestly very unusual for hackers to make this kind of threat. >> and the north koreans must be wild lly happy about this becau no one over there is happy we're talking about a movie offhandily assassinating kim jong looking at things. >> i'm sure they are enjoying it but honestly there's real pain right here, real pain for sony and real pain for everybody who has done business with that company. whether or not there's anything to this threat, the pain of this hack, is going to continue for a long time. >> that seems clear. lance, sir, thank you. >> pleasure. a fox urgent now. update on a story we reported in this hour. a district attorney in pennsylvania has just confirmed to fox news that an accused killer is dead. we were reporting they believed he was, now they're confirming it. this is video of where police say the body turned up in
