t in on the conversation. or send a tweet using #kellyfile. thanks for watching. i'm shannon bream in tonight for megyn kelly and this is "the kelly file." welcome to "hannity." breaking developments from duke university tonight following public outrage and pressure from several groups now the school has canceled its plan to sound the muslim call to prayerer on campus. ainsley earhart is here with the latest. >> that's right, sean. the school heard complaints loud and clear and made a few changes. the muslim call to prayer was originally supposed to be amly fied over the duke campus chapel bell tower starting tomorrow and it was going to continue each friday. well, today duke released a statement saying muslim students will instead gather at the campus quad before heading into a room inside the chapel for the weekly prayer service. the school's vice president for public affairs and government

relations says this "duke remains committed to fostering an inclusive, tolerant and welcoming campus for all of its students however it was clear that what was conceived as an effort to unify was not having the intended effect." the university's change of heart comes after several people spoke out about that initial plan. in fact, the son of billy graham and the president of the evangelistic -- posted this before that reversal "as christianity is being excluded from the public square and followers of islam are raping, butchering and beheading christians, jews and anyone who doesn't submit to their sharia islamic law, duke is promoting this in the name of religious pluralism. duke called on others to pressure them not to give money to the university and asked them to hold off on all the donations until the policy is reversed. sean, we've made several attempts to reach out to duke

university but we've gotten no response. we'll continue to try to reach out to them. >> seems like now they've backed off and they want to thread the needle and have it both ways. do we know if there's any christians -- any similar christian call to prayer? maybe a jewish call to prayer? >> why are they amplifying this prayer and not amplifying the lord's prayer? majority of students on that campus are christians. >> no attempt to broadcast the lord's prayer over the -- >> absolutely not. this school canceled -- >> and kicked chick-fil-a off campus. >> yeah. >> new propaganda shows the brutality of issis and the way they treat human beings who break sharia law. catherine herridge has the images. >> these images were provided by the middle east media institute or memri. tonight, the new isis tape

claims to show the enforcement of quranic punishment in northern iraq. two gay men apparently thrown from the top of a building blindfolded to their death. memri says a similar execution took place in november. a second set of images purport to show the crucifixion of two men convicted of theft who are hung on crosses and then shot at point-blank range. and a third set of images purports to show a woman being stoned for adultery. and if you look closely, you can see how the images seem carefully staged to showcase the black and white flag of isis. there's no way to independently verify the claims in the video, but it is consistent with the group's violent propaganda. also today fox news confirming two former guantanamo detainees are now recruiters for the isis network. muslim dost is recruiting in pakistan having pledged a allegiance to abu bakr al

chick-fil-a off the campus, they have a muslim call to prayer seems like everyone is walking on eggshells dealing with rad call islam. why do you think that is? >> well, i think maybe it's because we're lacking a little historical context here. look, let's cut to the chase here. let's go back to the five ideologies of the 20th century. two of them are still vibrant, the one we're currently facing, the islamists, the terrorists and this political correctism, atheism, no jesus with hitler. they wanted to dominate the world and famous for murder. the shinto came along, no jesus there, sean. they were famous for murder. they wanted to conquer the world. look at the blood spilled with those two. no jesus with them either. and they wanted to conquer the world. and they slaughtered millions. so you have murder, murder murder. then this latest crop pops their

head up, it's just an ideology under the guise of a religion they want to conquer the world. there's no jesus with them either. and they're famous for murder. and this political correctism you say where is the murder with the crowd that rose up that now fill the white house and hollywood, the entertainment business, all of our institutions like duke university you say the people, there's no jesus there. and they have killed about 55 million of their own children over the last 30 years. i've given you the five ideologies, we're still dealing with two of them. it goes on, idealism determinism, there's always an ism or a theory that people expound on sean, when there is no jesus. i'm -- >> the point is it seems like

university over to the center of religious life and asked for clarification if this was actually happening. and i was told, yes, it was. and that they had a practice run last week where three to four muslim students showed up. but that this would be broadcast from the chapel bell tower at duke university, which is an iconic point on the campus and that it would be broadcast for three minutes every friday starting this friday and that would be the muslims call to prayer. now, i didn't understand how this wasn't more controversial and the university apparently everyone there thought it was a great way to unify the campus and bring more religious plurality there. so allowing this call to prayer i think is great and i applaud them for it. honestly, if we thought at young america's foundation that this would bring more religious freedoms to all students we'd be more supportive. but the scale tilted. >> now we have to really raise some important questions.

for example life for women under sharia, i'm sure they have an lgbt community on duke university. >> they have a huge one if you look at their website. >> right. okay. i would think that the treatment of gays and lesbians in muslim countries as disturbing as it is would anger some people. did any of these groups speak out, for example did any womens groups speak out considering life for women in a lot of muslim countries? >> sean i actually saw no one speaking out against this which i was stunned by. the only people i saw speaking in support of it were the people on twitter who were giving me death threats saying they hope a muslim extremist comes to my home and murders me in front of my loved ones. that to me is a little concerning that more people were in support of this rather than encouraging religious freedom for all. but the fact is duke university has a long history of caving toward political correctness. as you mentioned earlier, shafl was removed from campus after same-sex marriage opponents came to them and said we want this

removed. they didn't allow pro-life students to gather for an event because the women's center didn't support pro-life values. and they held a palestinian solidarity movement national conference on their campus which is entirely anti-israel. so they can't say that they're in support of, you know, religious freedom for everyone when they only allow for some. which apparently are muslims. >> but they're really trying to thread a needle here because it's still happening, but just not as publicly, right? >> oh that's entirely true. and they were looking to be the first american university to allow this. so i'm sure we will see protests out there tomorrow regarding this decision. and i will be willing to bet you and i'm making this statement very clear that we are going to see a lot more of this on american campuses nationwide. >> unbelievable. >> we've seen that political correctness moving live and well. >> walking on eggshells. ashley, thank you. >> certainly. >> joining me now to debate duke's decision two students from the university, jonathan zow, rachel clark.
