benjamin met benjamin netanyahu? >> i think they are saying he can say anything he wants about iran. he will be on the trip to the united states any way to speak to the pro-israeli lobby in the united states. i think what they're concerned about is the feeling that netanyahu may be siding with -- this is the white house view -- siding with republicans and making this issue more political than a matter of geopolitics. they are upset the fact that netanyahu accepted an invitation from speaker boehner and that they weren't notified about it before hand. >> the speaker of the house said we're a co-equal branch of government to the white house. we can do what we please. here is the exchange on special report. >> you surprised by the push

back by the invite of the israeli prime minister? >> not really. i believe the prime minister of israel has a strong voice. he believes that the threat of the iranians having a nuclear weapon is a very serious threat. israeli prime minister can also talk with some expertise about the growing threat of radical islam. we've got a serious problem in the world and the president just wants to act like it's going to just disappear. >> as you know, chris, the president says that he is trying to corral the iranian issue and he's very close to getting a deal with iran that the invitation is only going to harm. >> interestingly enough it clearly has backfired here in the united states because there were a number of democrats, ten democratic senators who were talking about joining republicans in passing a measure
10:05 am
that would threaten very soon, threatening a measure that would threaten iran with sanctions, if they were to walk away or fail to make a deal. those ten democratic senators said they will give the president until the end of march before they take any sanction action. i think it's just a feeling this issue, which is a very serious one about the life and death of the country whether iran get a nuclear weapon but it's becoming too political. it's becoming the republicans against the white house. i think that's the concern about this whole invitation whether it's taken an issue of enormous international porjsimportance and made it too much of a domestic issue. >> democrat that might have been inclined to vote of sanctions or triing about or expressing they would vote the other way because of the invitation?
10:06 am
>> they are saying they will not vote for sanctions. the white house says if you threaten sanctions that's going to give the iranians an opportunity or excuse to walk away. they are now saying they will not vote for sanctions until after that march 24th dead lynn which means 60 votes they probably do not have the votes to pass the sanctions bill now.
10:07 am
no from the latest word i've gotten on capitol hill to the 67 votes, the super, super majority he would not to sustain a veto. i think the feeling on the part of the republicans is it's a win-win. if the president were to change his mind and i don't think he's going to to sign the bill to authorize keystone then they get a project that they think will be good for the country. will help the domestic north american, the oil will come from canada. it will also create in the short term up to 42,000 direct and related jobs. if he signs it, that's good news and if he vetoes it's a bill that has overwhelming support in the country. one of the things the republicans want to do is show we can get business done in
