>> "associated press" reports kurdish troops and local police stormed that hotel and killed all three gunmen. u.n. officials say they're pulling foreign staff out of kirkuk now because of what they're calling a rapid deterioration in security. that's an understatement. kirkuk is a very big deal because of the oil there the kurds want to take control of the so do other groups including isis inch the red on the wall here the areas the militants control. meantime, still no word on the hostage from japan and the one from jordan. yesterday, a twitter account linked to the islamic state militants reported the militants would make some sort of statement. that was hours after the deadline passed for a prisoner swap. officials in jordan say they will not release that prisoner unless e!qk4 until isis proves that the prisoner from jordan is still alive. so far, silence. let's bring in edward skip guinin former u.s. ambassador to jordan and kuwait now

a flight from minneapolis to vegas made an emergency landing because the captain could not get back into the cockpit. that's according to delta airlines. the company report the door jammed. the flightland safely yesterday at mccarran airport in vegas after the copilot took the controls. the jet was actually scheduled to land in vegas and pulled into the gate on time. passengers erupted in applause after the landing. a delta spokesperson says the company's pilots preponderance for issues just like this. >> more snow on the way in the northeast sadly.
