years and we've had a couple of tough losses in this game. this came down to the end and we made the play. >> capping off a turbulent year the nfl is happy to be done with it. >> the thing about this super bowl is how many times have we watched a super bowl and it was a blowout? and that gets a little boring. last night was not boring. i mean, because i was -- there was a cavuto-a-thon so i was watching it the entire night. i saw the final play of the first half which was unbelievable for the seahawks and then pete carol, who made that gutsy call, made a gutsy call to throw the ball at the end of the fourth quarter. he was asked about what were you thinking? you had three downs. why didn't you run it? here he is pete carol defending that decision which will haunt him forever. >> we decided to call another call. we make these decisions

more than a foot of snow right now as tens of thousands of people wake up without power this morning. more than 2,300 flights have been canceled so far and a dangerous morning commute is expected all across the northeast. we'll watch this one throughout the morning. a tragic end to tell you about in the search for a missing arkansas nursing student. police finding 21-year-old cally morris dead inside her overturned s.u.v. beneath a bridge in oklahoma. investigators believe she somehow lost control of her car before she struck an embankment and plunged into a creek. morris went missing on thursday after she left school in arkansas to head home to her parents' place nearly 200 miles away. president obama sends congress his budget this morning and it has a hefty price tag. the price tag includes a public works program.

ago. so what type of demons has this child been fighting. not a child any more. i shouldn't say that. here to weigh in on this is our psychologist dr. chuck williams. so sad, the family has been through so much. what do you make of this? why do you think this is happening in such a similar situation, circumstance as her mother? >> right. it's eerie when i got the phone call from one of your producers the other day. i almost didn't believe it. face down in a bath tub in the exact same way that her mother was found and passed away almost three years ago two weeks from now. it's just very eerie and very creepy. it's hard to deal with these issues, just as people ordinary, everyday, average people. but imagine being the daughter of a very, very famous mother whose life and death was sort of captured in front of tv screens and movie screens and cameras. this is something that has

caused a lot of pressure, i would imagine on bobbi kristina brown making it very difficult for her to mourn and to go through some of the stages of grief because people have different opinions about the death of whitney houston. some people are going to say to bobbi kristina brown maybe she should move on because it was three years ago. mourning is something that is very private but when you're public it is hard to go through that private process which further complicates issues and it could have led her to act out including using and abusing substances. >> just last week one of the cable channels was running a marathon on movies about bobbi's life and whitney's life. her daughter had a realty show right after her mom die. that went to my mind when i heard the news and my heart sank like every american's heart sank because we do feel sorry for the child. her dad, bobby is, quote,

inconsolable. losing his former wife, possibly his daughter. doctors are saying it is going to take a miracle for her to possibly survive. how does a family get through? >> i can't imagine what bobby brown is feeling. he lost his wife, ex-wife, in a tragic and unfortunate waip under the same circumstances. now you have his daughter recently turned 21, trying to find her own way in life and now he's hit with a double tragedy a few years after his former wife passed away, it looks like his daughter may be facing something similar. he must be unconsolable to have to deal with this grief again soon after his former wife, whitney houston, passed away under similar circumstances. >> dr. williams, thank you for your input this morning. coming up, if waiting at the d.m.v. isn't bad enough

blizzard conditions. parts of iowa and ohio picking up 14 irnlings inches well. bringing rain across the mid-atlantic but that snow concentrated across parts of the northeast especially upstate new york and widespread across new england, parts of connecticut. southern connecticut could be looking at pretty heavy snow totals. generally speaking across the region 6 to 12 inches of snow possible. locally higher amounts. where those heavier snow bands set up across parts of southeastern new england is where we're looking at the brunt of the storm system. there's a look at snowfall forecasts for the region. generally 6 to 12 inches of snow possible in addition to what they have already seen across the northeast. otherwise behind the storm, get ready for very cold air to move in. some areas could be looking at record-low temperatures. wind chills well below zero across parts of new england and black ice is going to be a big concern not just

with respect to isis our objective should be to deny them the ability to hang on to territory because that gives them a base from which potentially to plot against us and against western europe. >> of course isis keeps going across the border with syria. we don't want to go into syria and destroy isis because that helps the bad guy who runs syria. >> how are these goals achieved? lindsey graham laid it out pretty starkly and pretty brutally. he says we need ten thousand troops on the ground to stop isis. watch what he had to say. >> you're going to need boots on the ground not only in iraq but syria, and there's got to be some regional force formed with an american component somewhere around 10,000, i think, american soldiers to align with arab armies in the region and go into syria and take back territory from isil. that is what will make it stop. >> he's right. we're at a tipping point.

the commute is already -- in the other lane, it's going okay. but that truck right there is stopped. but cars are passing him. >> are they pushing a car out behind it? >> i don't know. maria molina is here tracking the storm for us. how are the conditions? >> you mentioned parts of massachusetts. those areas are really just going to be looking at very heavy snow. some areas could pick up a foot of snow and eastern maine could pick up to two feet of snow. this is a powerful storm system. for areas south of massachusetts and right here in new york city we're looking at more of a wintery mix. we do have some warmer air aloft that's moved in. that's really helping to transition that snow over to freezing rain or even sleet. that's exactly what we're looking at now in new york city. look at some of the road conditions out here. you can see it's a slushy mess. it's not just snow. it's not just ice. it's kind of a miss out here. that's what we'll be looking at throughout the day today across new york city. but farther north again heavy snow. we do have winter storm warnings in effect. and significant snow already reported in areas farther west.

unwilling and basically left no option. if something doesn't break free, it will spread. >> so how will this affect gasoline prices? let's ask the co-host of "the five," eric bolling. thanks for coming in. >> thanks for having me. >> why are we having this strike? >> so here is the deal the united steelworkers union, specifically the oil workers in the houston area, want a 100% increase in their pay increase. in other words, over the last three years their contract allowed for a pay increase. they're up for renewal. they've been working at this for the last couple weeks and want another 100% increase upon the other increase. so they're look for more money from the oil companies. but it's coming at a really bad time. especially with the oil companies now -- oil prices have gone from $110 a birl to a low of 43 -- go ahead, steve. >> i was going to say they should have done this last year when everybody was rich. but right now the bottom has fallen out of it and they got in leverage. >> here is the way this whole thing plays out.

the free market had the oil prices at $110 a barrel. clearly that was too high. the free market brought oil prices down to where it should be. down to 45, $50 a barrel. the unions say i don't care about the free market. we want to protect ours. we want more of ours no matter what the price is and they don't really care what the oil companies have or make. they don't make all that much money on a gallon of gasoline or a barrel of oil. they make about 25 cents a gallon on a gallon of gasoline. meanwhile, they have all these expenses. they pay a ton of tax. the unions again with their hands out. just like the politicians. how many times have you heard politicians say now that gas is $2 a gallon, it's time to up the gasoline tax. that's ridiculous. >> they say there are safety issues. what are they talk being? we read all the time about people dying on these rig as soon as how much of the industry do they represent? >> i can't give you an exact number of how many they represent. but they're refiners, drillers, transporters, all in united

steelworkers. they are dangerous absolutely. but they're no more dangerous now than they were three years ago or 15 years ago. they're probably a lot safer now with all the safety precautions that things like bp spill made them put into place fort offshore oil pregnants. prices are down. >> that's the situation right now. but going forward, how is that going to impact the people watching right now who are pumping the gas and they think, this is good for me right now. >> so there was rumors of this happening late friday afternoon, this past friday. guess what happened friday in the oil market? after this big massive move down in oil prices were good which by the way is fantastic for everyone watching. >> absolutely. >> almost a three quarters of a trillion dollars stimulus package if gasoline price goes from $4 a gallon down to gallon. we use about 386 billion gallons a year, double that. that's almost $750 billion in consumers' pockets. so what happens when there is rumors the oil workers may

governor, i want to ask you about the criticism. some people like dr. howard dean who didn't see the movie, but still he criticized, got bill maher, michael moore and other characters like that. what do you make of their comments regarding chris kyle? >> well, for one, if you see the movie, you see the touching way in which chris went about his business and his commitment to protecting his fellow soldier. his commitment to the country and what we need are patriots like chris kyle. frankly, the reason why all these other people have the first amendment right to criticize chris kyle is because he had the guts to stand up and defend this country and its constitution. so they should all be on their knees thanking chris kyle that we have the united states constitution and the freedoms that we have in the nation to even criticize one of our soldiers.
