and zudhi jasser. going to kick booty. let me know what you think. we'll see you tomorrow at 9:00. welcome to "hannity." it has been more than 24 hours since isis released its most brutal and disturbing video-to-date showing the 26-year-old jordanian hostage being burned alive in a cage. now, jordan vows swift and lethal justice. and they did just that killing prisoners in retaliation. in a moment we'll go live to shepard smith reporting on the ground in amman jordan. first, we're learning more about the brutality of isis and joining us first is eric shawn. eric. >> sean, this is just unspeakable. it's so unforgiving and so repulsive. the united nations now says children are being bought and sold by isis, that they're being
7:01 pm
crucified and even buried alive. this is the report issued today in geneva by the committee on the rights of the child. slave sex market shops where they actually have price tags on the heads of children where they've used mentally challenged children as suicide bombers. and of course if you're mentally challenged you don't know what you're doing. they're as young as 8 years old. and there have been mass killings of children in iraq and the united nations is calling for some action. let me read you a quote from this astounding horrible report. it says "there is a systemic killing of children by the so-called isil including several cases of mass executions of boys as well as reports of beheadings crucifixions of children and burying children alive, this includes deaths and dehydration, starvation and heat. the high level number of children traumatized from witnessing the murder of their parents are being subjected to physical and sexual assault, systemically killed, tortured,
7:02 pm
raped, forced to convert to islam and the so-called -- that's what the u.n. says is going on right now. >> this is evil in our time. this is modern day naziism in our time. torture, beheading crucifixion stoning victims, now burning victims victims. now we're talking about sex trafficking and everything in between. >> it just boggles the mind. radical islamic terrorism right there in front of our eyes. >> okay. thanks, eric shawn for that report. appreciate it. we go now to shepard smith standing by on the ground in amman, jordan tonight. shep, what's the latest down there? >> man, it's hard to hear that stuff. i was reading that u.n. report today, sean. it makes you wonder if those sorts of reports and what happened here in jordan might be able to tie this part of the world together more closely. i really think at least in the 24, 48 hours since this news has developed so quickly here that that's been the effect in jordan. the killing of the two prisoners of war here in jordan, the
7:03 pm
united nations didn't respond to that in any way, the king was greeted with open arms when he came back to the united states this morning after the two prisoners had been killed by the state. and there seems to be a sense of unity where there hadn't been some before. those who weren't so sure who to be for but sure they were against isis now seem to at least for this day seem to be saying, all right, let's figure out what to do let's go get them. king and military we'll support you. >> you know, shep, i know that there's sort of been mixed emotions here because many this absolute fury over the killing of the jordanian pilot on the one side there's also been a portion of the population in jordan that did not want jordan to be a part of the coalition against isis. even they were protesting some last night. what is the percentage of the population when we talk about those two points of view? >> that's something hard to judge. i can tell you the most recent video a week ago there were members of muslim brotherhood at the palace and they were
7:04 pm
protesting saying this isn't our war. the muslim brotherhood today came out in support of actions against isis. there's little talk on the street at all about why we are fighting against isis. there seems to be an understanding of why that's happening. what's still sort of in question is who are they for. keep in mind there's a percentage of this population that believes isis would never exist if the united states hadn't toppled saddam hussein's regime and upset with the united states about that and have been for years. there's a large population here that's palestinian by origin. they see the united states and israel as one. they see jordan having sided with those two in treaty signings in the past. so a lot of confusion and complications about what to believe and who to trust. but this brutal murder lighting a human being on fire seems to have united them at least for the time being around we must do something. we'll see if the king can figure out what to do and how quickly. >> now king abdullah in jordan seems to be doubling down on participation in terms of the
7:05 pm
coalition. at the same time the united arab emirates they have now halted their air strikes against isis. they seem to be pulling back in maybe fear of retribution or retaliation. >> interesting that we learned about that today when actually along with in the course of this reporting we found out that actually the uae, united arab emirates had stopped their participation in the air strikes way back in december. so that was a sort of leak that came out today at the same time the jordanians were talking about increasing their efforts. the words of the jordanians today were extremely strong. when king abdullah was leaving the united states yesterday a taped message played here in the kingdom while he was in the air the words were strong and reactions were strong. there were questions what would happen on this day, wednesday is a very busy day, normally on a wednesday night rush hour time it would be packed but instead a lot of people stayed home today, observing respect for the family of the man who was
7:06 pm
murdered. and solidarity with the government. that sort of an action as quiet as it is is unusual and unseen before here, sean. and a lot of our people who work here all the time say they believe it's significant. >> the king had also said this was just the beginning. that there would be more retribution. do they expect, is it anticipated that more prisoners that are being held will face the same fate as these two executed in the early morning yesterday? >> that wouldn't be surprising. they haven't said that with specificity. but there have been a lot of questions about whether jordan's military will take on a further role in the conflict. and if that's the case that would be seen as something that could help broaden the coalition. keep in mind there's a lot of angst about having jordanian pilots in the air over this fight especially now that one has been murdered in such a brutal way. that said there is some degree of reporting now, especially from "the washington post" in tweets today and in tomorrow morning's editions that there's a discussion of the possibility of taking the jordanian military
7:07 pm
on the ground into this conflict. now, you can probably read that as a trial balloon to see how the public would react to such a thing. it hasn't gotten widespread play here yet today. we're about five hours from dawn. i'm guessing that will be a talking point tomorrow. we'll see what the reaction is. >> a family member of the jordanian pilot said before the execution that if in fact the pilot was executed that they would blame king abdullah. where's the family's position on this now? >> well, the family's actually spoken. the father of the jordanian pilot who was executed has spoken with our sister network in the united kingdom. and he's saying that we must as a nation get revenge. that we must as a kingdom get revenge. and the king of jordan has said that the man who died the man who was so brutally murdered by isis is no less his than his own crown prince. there is a uniting that happens around tragedy. and this is a kind of tragedy we have rarely seen, one that is so personal, a man in a cage whom
7:08 pm
everyone here knew. he is a prominent member of a prominent tribe, a very prominent and influential family. and to see him taken down in that way was a real knock to the kingdom itself and to the unity that this nation is. and i think that at least in the short-term, sean they've got an opportunity now to change the direction or at least move toward more aggressiveness if they can get it done and get it done quickly and keep the people on the side of it. but the sense here is that the window is open but no one seems to know for how long. >> for those of us that did see this video and i almost wish the whole world could see it so you could see this evil hideous, grotesque despicable humanity like this it shocks your conscience. jordan for many, many years, even decades has been able to stay out of a lot of middle eastern conflicts. as isis has grown in iraq and in syria, is there a growing sense that they need to take a bigger role in stopping the growth of
7:09 pm
this cancer? >> well, the king has said exactly that. members of different tribes have said that. individuals on the street have said that. and the military seems ready for something like that. it's a very powerful and organized military. it's closely allied with the united states. i think there is a group that's worried that if this thing escalates it could come to the shores of jordan more so than it already has. keep in mind the woman who was executed this morning taken from the jordanian prison and executed is an iraqi woman who struck in jordan as part of a suicide bombing pack that her pack didn't go off that's the only reason she was alive for this execution today. it's not as if jordan hasn't been a victim before. it has. what's different now i think is the level to which the people believe jordan must be part of the push back. and i think the still unknown is how long that sentiment will last. is it a few days, a few weeks. i don't know if anyone does. >> i wonder through the prism of
7:10 pm
history, shep, if we're going to look back at the brutality and the murder of this jordanian pilot as a tipping point that woke up the muslim world to radical islam and that they themselves are going to take a more active role in helping to defeat this evil. it's going to be -- it seems like it might be a pivotal moment in this war against isis and radical islamists. >> i tell you, it does. and we were talking about that editorially in the newsroom yesterday and that's the reason we got on a plane last night to come over here and see for ourself ifs this is a real tipping point. because if it is it will be an historical one. and if it works we might be able to slow this thing down. or that's the thinking of the leaders in play. and, man i hope they're right. >> i hope they're right. shep, i know it's early in the morning there and you've been up all night. appreciate you being with us. shep smith in amman jordan tonight. when isis kills an american, president obama went golfing. when isis kills a jordanian pilot, the king executes

it will be authentic. it's just one more indication of the viciousness and barbarity of this organization. and it also just indicates the degree to which whatever ideology they're operating off of it's bankrupt. >> whatever ideology they're talking about. that was the president yesterday talking himself in circles instead of just calling these terrorists what they really are,

radical islamists. not radical christians radical jews, radical hindus, radical islamists islamists. how many more innocent people need to be decapitated, thrown off a building burned alive before this administration finally wakes up? here with reaction colonel oliver north. you know i don't hear about the catholic state the protestant state, the quaker state, the jewish state the hindu state. it's the islamic state. why can't he admit is. ollie? >> well, he can't. because it doesn't fit his narrative. and it doesn't fit anything he's said over time. sean, i just got back from israel where we watched a hezbollah terror attack against an israeli patrol inside israel from lebanon. and the israelis don't call it workplace violence or extremism they call it what it is. radical islamist terror. in israel jordan's king abdullah who the president met with today is described as "the courageous king." i heard that many times over
7:15 pm
there. and he's now promising retribution like isis hasn't seen. but he needs american help. the jordanians are overwhelmed with refugees from syria and the internal threat from muslim brotherhood, isis al nusra hezbollah, radical terror groups. and obama's response has been flaccid at best. he still can't define the enemy as radical islamists. >> so isis beheads an american and literally three minutes later the president goes golfing. isis, you know, burns alive a jordanian pilot. and within 24 hours of the release of that tape the jordan king, the jordanian king executes two radical terrorists. tell me what's wrong with the picture here? >> they were convicted terrorist terrorists terrorists. >> what's that? >> -- >> but he did it to get --

7:18 pm
fallujah and all these other big countries that they have. and then we got another map from the institute study for the war and look at the expanse of radicalism in africa and the east. libya, kenya, nigeria the arabian peninsula syria, iraq and all these areas. so much of this territory taken while he's president. why? >> well, because this is an extremist organization, this is an evil terror group that is absolutely bent ongoing after anyone who believes in freedom and loves peace. they will stop at nothing unless or until we stop them. they've got to be stopped. >> so why did the jordanian king responds in 24 hours. and he responds with force. why does our president when an american is beheaded james foley, he went to play golf within three minutes of a hastily held press conference.
7:19 pm
>> yeah. look, i don't speak for the president. you'll have to ask him why he chose to do that. but the point here is, sean, this is building. we have the jordanian pilot yesterday with this video being released. just days ago we had japanese citizens beheaded. and we've had attacks against americans. we've had americans killed. this is building and it's building to the point where it's undeniable. this is an evil group bent on attacking the united states, bent on attacking u.s. allies in the region. and they've got to be stopped. >> one last question how is it it was one year ago that the president referred to isis as the jayvee team. now, i've got to believe that american intelligence did a better job informing the president how dangerous this group was. how could he have possibly a year ago referred to them as the jayvee team? >> well he certainly got that wrong. let's just hope anyone who advised him that it was okay to
7:20 pm
use that term or to even think of them in any way is part of a jayvee team is no longer advising him and he's got a new team there that's making clear the reality of this threat. regardless, i want to see a plan from the president about how he's going to attack isis. ideally that plan needs to include some kind of request for authorization for the use of military force in the region. congress needs to be consulted. with that request for or whether it's a declaration of war or whatever he wants to call it would come a threat assessment. this is the responsibility of the president of the united states to put this together to make the case to the people's elected representatives in congress. and we need to approve that. >> all right. senator, thank you for being with us. appreciate it. coming up, while the president met with american muslim leaders behind the doors of the white house, they won't release the names of the people they met with. did obama demand these leaders publicly condemn radical extremists? all the way until... the am. new aleve pm the only one

welcome back to "hannity." a new measure passed by the house of commons in the uk would make it legal for a baby to have three biological parents. here's how it works. the vote allows an in vitro
7:48 pm
fertilization technique -- by combining the dna of the two parents with the healthy dna of a donor woman. here with reaction from our sister network, fox business network, imus in the morning business producer bernard mcguirk and geraldo rivera and jo anne -- so where are we going with this? are we goipg to pick hair color, eye color, height? for me this begins to get into a very moral area about, you know, creating the perfect child. >> of course. we always bastardize these technologies. that's what happens. people have the best intentions but then things go awry. and then we have these designer babies, which is what people are nervous about. i do think that technology and science and with birthing it is wonderful for these mothers who
7:49 pm
have these diseases and worry about reproducing and passing it onto their children. so it does give them hope. so when technology does that i do see the good in it. >> it's going to do that but it opens the door for -- >> well, before you talk about genetic modifications, back up to the fact is this is an ivf, an in vitro procedure. my oldest daughter is product of in vitro procedure. her mom got pregnant, lost the baby six times finally the ivf worked. so it was a miracle in the rivera clan. she was the miracle baby. it was the same argument, the specifics were different but the same general argument. now the question is do we now modify the dna so it's a taller baby, a redheaded baby, a paler skin baby. i think those are ethical dilemma. the brits seem pretty comfortable with this though. >> that is the question, is this genetic -- will it lead to genetic modification? but do we really want a bunch of
7:50 pm
ken and barbies running around? >> yes. >> we need short, ugly, stupid people to fulfill our sense of superiority and to do the grunt work. this is a horrible thing. this is terrible. >> all right. that settles the whole thing. >> i would genetically modify my nose. >> geraldo, i could see you passing on your genes a million times all over >> it's another show. >> another show. another day. >> if you see doctors to do this they can't get enough fluoride in the water. right? >> if technology exists there is no doubt someone, someplace because you can't control every lab, every place. somebody is going to be tinkering in a way that is scary. >> issue of vaccination has come up. comments made by rand paul. science is clear earth is round, sky is blue. vaccines work let's protect our kids ted cruz saying nobody

reasonably thinks chris christie is opposed to vaccinateing kids i think parents should have a choice about vaccinateing their kids if they choose not to, that means they can't put their kids at risk at school. i believe the parents, a lot of parents are convinced mercury was in a lot of the vaccinations, causes autism. i don't think science is clear, but they believe it. so give them a choice. >> well, do you like the movie "bubble boy"? we can all just live in bubbles and don't have to get vaccinateed. it would be a perfect world. >> do you believe parents need a choice? >> i do think parents should parent the government should not be parenting. >> that is horrifying. >> but when you can pass

something on the community that is the responsibility of the government. >> dr. carson says i wonder if this is related to the fact we let immigrant children in. >> uh-oh. >> but children are coming from countries that are not immunized. >> have south america, the immunization rate is 90%. >> i immunized my kids. >> when irish came, waits the same stuff. >> always attacking my people. >> you're an immigrant race. >> we're all immigrants. exactly. >> you don't want choice you want the government to mandate? iets not that. bernard can figure it out. you make the choice. you're home schooling your kids, you make the choice not to immunize your kids i have a kid with childhood

leukemia your kid walks down the street with measles, your -- your unvaccinateed child infects my innocent child. it's 100 cases. this is not a massive outbreak. >> the government has to handle it. >> i happen to agree with geraldo. it could amount to child abuse. science is pretty clear. >> i -- my kids got vaccinateed. my opinion but i do have a certain respect for the choice of parents to believe things i don't believe. >> adrienne peterson posted you can beat a kid with a switch. >> or disease shouldn't have been treated. >> geraldo should have been hit with a belt. >> i can do it now. >> so mandate? >> you have, if hillary wants it. hillary, her hash tag, was wonderful but she was throwing

it in my face i don't have grandchildren or children, so hillary isn't on my level. >> but look. politicalization is disgraceful. gotcha moments the off the cuff remarks were, i think disgraceful. for hillary to jump on witness a tweet is typical politics and pandering on her part. that is why we have to stop hillary now. >> coming up the question of the day, straight ahead. dave, i'm sorry to interrupt... i gotta take a sick day tomorrow. dads don't take sick days, dads take nyquil. the nighttime, sniffling sneezing, coughing aching, fever, best sleep with a cold medicine.
