incident. and the latest one. 20 or 30 police officers on the scene and using semi-automatic weapons. we'll bring in retired captain nash. are you there? >> i am heather. >> you think they are related. 45 minutes ago and the first one just before 4 o'clock. >> it could be a copycat or small group or first guy who did the shooting or a jihadi want to be and cooperate afford to a plane ticket for syria and doing what he does for isis. and who knows until they get the guy and interrogate him, they will not know and it is hypothetical. >> we are told that the suspect fled on foot in this incident as they did flee in a vehicle. but we know he was on foot after

that. do you think it is in any way related to it the charlie hebdo incident? you think it is a copycat incident? >> the gentleman who spoke at the earlier shooting was a cartoonist who had done work depicting mohammed. and so that was pretty good indication of what the intent was in the first one. and the second one, it happens to be in a synagogue and also would lead one to believe that these two things are related. >> i have a question in terms of declaring this a terrorist event so soon. how do you think they were able to do that and what would make them do that? >> i think just the act itself. first off, their nerves are on

the edge of the skin because of the shooting earlier today. and then you lay in on top of that shooting two police officers and a civilian at a synagogue this all rolls in to walks like a duck and quacks like a duck it is a duck. and so we can sit back and try to be objective as possible about this, but i think in the end, when it all comes down, we'll find out these were related and whether or not it was the same shooter or not we don't know. but it could be a copycat from the earlier action. >> the first incident happen in a cafe and it was a wide open area. and in terms of catching the suspect, what would officers or investigators try to do and corner off the area and we are looking at the map right there, what would they do to try to find this person immediately? >> well what they are going to

have to do is interview people and say did you see anything. and pull the security camera tapes starting where the incident took place and build out from there and so if they can capture, trace it back to if he came out of a vehicle. if he did do we have a description from the security camera tapes. do we have a license plate or anything we can go on. unless someone said this dude university ran bo this building over there they will not catch him. it will take forensics and take time for them to sort through the evidence and back this case out from the event. >> one person killed and three officers injured and three people shot, including two officers who were injured. that is five officers. we are going to try to go back to sky news, actually we have

i don't know. >> back at the first scene. have officers moved beyond that at this point? that's where you are standing? >> reporter: no i am not out there. i am watching the news myself. police are all over the city and chasing this man all day. and i know there was 20 police that sped off from the area where they wery searching in the city. i know that from a friend that lives there. they were busy getting to the synagogue half an houring on. so. >> in reference to lars wilk. he escaped unharmed. do they know whereabouts at this point? >> reporter: no i am sure that is a secret. he is always living under ground

in sweden and i am sure we are not supposed to know. >> have you heard anything from the denmark security service. they referred to the first event as a terrorist attack? >> reporter: no there are no specifics but that there are police that were shot and another person shot. i don't think they know if it is the same person or another one. >> they were searching door to dorlooking for the first suspect. they are not saying they are related. we don't know because it is all happening pretty much as we speak. they were going to door-to-door looking for the first suspect. do they believe he had an accomplice? >> reporter: they started out saying two and then changed to one. it was just one man with the first shooting and they changed

that at 8 o'clock tonight. >> so he abandoned the vehicle and it was found. where was the vehicle found? >> reporter: it was found a mile and half away from the shooting and that's the area where i was explaining before a lot of police were looking in this area. they had trains checked and gardens and parks and that's the area where they sped off an half an hour ago. >> is that mile and half in the direction of the synagogue? >> reporter: no it is further away. >> they say this suspect fled on to the. have you heard reports of helicopters up in the air? >> reporter: police helicopters in the area as well. there are reports on helicopters circles in the north and in the center. >> in terms of copehagen itself.

it is a small community and tell us about the families and this area encompass. >> reporter: it is a million and half people. and can the area where the shooting happen it was a nice urban and expensive area actually. yeah, it is a nice place and a lot of family playgrounds and big football stadium. yeah. normal area. >> the first shooting in the cafe there was a large park directly across from that? >> reporter: yes massive biggest one. and lots of football fields and by the national football stadium as well. actually. >> the cafe is known for jazz concerts and they list those outside of the venue when they are happening. did they announce or have listed outside of the cafe that there was a free speech event that was

synagogue is. >> when we are hearing concerning the metro and train station, that is now evacuated, what sort of area is the synagogue in and just describe it to us, pete. >> it is in main university district c cafe and restaurants and hotels. and so copenhagen is a relatively quiet inner city compared to most british cities like london. but it is a pretty vibrant area. this happen 45 minutes ago. and there was quite a few people out and about. the bar is still opened and probably down on the street below, it was relatively busy with a few passer's by.

quite easy for anyone to flee easy. >> that was sky news cameraman pete mills. >> just to wrap everything up to you at this point. we have two shootings that happen in copenhagen today. in this latest incident, it happen outside or near the main synagogue. one person was shot in the head and two policemen injured. it is happening after a separate deadly attack which was two miles away and that sparked a manhunt and the suspect is still on the los. the shooting in the capitol of copenhagen comes after one man was killed and three officers injured. the first incident was at a cafe where they had a meeting on free speech at the time. it is too early to say if the two attacks are related. let's see, one man died in the
