already getting huge reaction to mayor giuliani. i will be on vacation for the next week in balmy colorado. i'll try not to inhale on the gondola. thanks for watching. i'm megyn kelly. tonight, president obama does it again. >> the terrorists do not speak for over a billion muslims. they no more represent islam than any madman who kills innocents in the name of god represents christianity or judaism. >> now his friends turning on him. >> they're trying to be so politically correct. >> plus. >> i do hear him criticize america much more often than other american presidents. >> former new york city mayor rudy giuliani says he does not think president obama loves america. and senator cruz takes a shot at the commander in chief. >> what undermines the global effort is for the president of the united states to be an apoll gist for radical islamic terrorist. >> the great one mark levine is
7:01 pm
here. he responds. a story nobody's talking about, an al qaeda operative on trial in new york city. we break it down. "hannity" starts right now. yesterday president obama once again went to great lengths to distance muslims from radical islamists who are committing heinous acts of violence in the name of their religion. >> the terrorists do not speak for over a billion muslims who reject their hateful ideology. they no more represent islam than any madman who kills innocents in the name of god represents christianity or judaism or buddhism or no religion is responsible for terrorism. >> really? now the president defends the islamic faith at all costs and he has no problem routinely insulting jews or being against b.b. netanyahu or attacking christians. remember when he called the terrorist attack at that kosher deli in paris a random act of violence? >> it is entirely legitimate for
7:02 pm
the american people to be deeply concerned when you've got a bunch of violent, vicious zealots who behead people or randomly shoot a bunch of folks in a deli in paris. >> now, of course who could forget just two weeks ago the president threw christianity under the bus. remember this at the national prayer breakfast in d.c.? this is what he said. >> remember during the crusades and the inquisition people committed terrible deeds in the name of christ. slavery and jim crow all too often was justified in the name of christ. >> ever say terrible deeds in the name of allah or muhammad? no problem saying terrible deeds in the name of christ. pretty unbelievable. today the conference wrapped up its three-day summit where you couldn't mention islamic terrorism. and things were getting so bad even liberals at nbc they couldn't defend the president. >> you don't see the word islam
7:03 pm
or islamic or radical islam anywhere in the fact sheet. they use extremist. they're very careful not to associate it with one religion. it comes across as if they're trying to be so politically correct that they're losing focus on what the -- on what the problem is. >> isis is spreading like a virus. and months of u.s.-led air strikes don't seem to be containing it. isis is moving into all the cracks in the middle east the unresolved conflicts in iraq, libya, the sinai syria and gaza. this is not a problem that can be droned away. >> here he has the summit, new hits of government coming participation hasn't been at a particularly high level. there hasn't been a whole lot of support from either europe or the middle east for -- at a very high level, for what the president is setting out here. it seems to be more of a dog and pony show. >> now meanwhile as this summit comes to an end there are reports out of iraq that isis is
7:04 pm
making money through harvesting of organs of their victims and could be intricately involved in human trafficking, in other words selling women for money. and even young children into slavery. standing by at the white house is ed henry with much more. he had no problem talking about terrible deeds done in the name of jesus denied that, you know, claimed what happened in paris and the kosher supermarket was random. joe biden even went as far today to talk about right wing extremists who commit acts of terrorism in the name of the bible. but they didn't talk about islamic terrorism in three days? >> sean, what's interesting is that the president's gotten some bipartisan criticism. you mentioned some of the media criticism. but democrat tulsy gabbert from hawaii who's a member of the house armed services committee, she came out and told fox that she thinks the focus of this summit was off. that it should have been on islamic extremism. you had the republican chairman of the house homeland security committee, michael mccaul saying today he thinks this was a summit without substance because
7:05 pm
the president did not call out radical islam and is not going to be able to go after the fanatics if he doesn't call it what it is. interesting because i had an exchange with josh ernst about the statement that he put out over the weekend about this awful beheading of 21 people. he called them citizens this weekend, and did not mention their faith. listen. i'm curious, why didn't you mention it was 21 christians killed by muslims? is that relevant? >> it sure is because the isil extremists who carried out this attack indicated that the reason they were killing them wasn't just because they were egyptian but also because they were christian. >> it went out under your name. why didn't you say 21 christians were killed? >> well ed, i try to be clear here. i can't account for that specific line in the statement. but we've been clear there that we condemn this murder. >> interesting because two days earlier last week the white house put out a statement under the president's name about the tragedy of three muslim students being killed at the university
7:06 pm
of north carolina. and in that statement they invoked their faith talked about being muslim american students. and also the president in that written statement said no one in america should be targeted, he said, because of what they look like, who they are or how they worship. and so specifically their muslim faith was invoked in that case. but strange that the christian faith was not mentioned in the 21 beheadings. that's what i was pressing josh earnest on, sean. >> if you go through it step by step, mention terrible deeds done in the name of christ, i've never heard him say that about muhammad or allah or islam. and even goes out of his way to suggest that it's not tied to the religion in terms of islam. and then with paris the president said was random at the kosher supermarket. we had another spokesperson claim that no jewish people were killed when in fact that was not true. he is in a political war with b.b. netanyahu that is well-known throughout political
7:07 pm
circles. and he mentioned south carolina in that particular case almost immediately. >> north carolina. >> north carolina rather, sorry. what is the reaction of the white house for the comments i'll get to them in a minute, of rudy giuliani? >> well, it's interesting. white house spokesman eric schultz today said he thinks rudy giuliani test drove that message, he said, back in his quote/unquote, fleeting 2008 campaign. it was a poke teasing, jabbing rudy giuliani for having such a short-lived presidential campaign. doesn't really answer the substance of it. but i can tell you the democrat -- the chairman of the democratic national committee debbie wasserman-schultz was tougher saying she opposed many of the policies of president george w. bush but never questioned his patriotism. not pleased with those comments as you can imagine. >> all right. joining me now nationally syndicated talk show host mark levine is back with us. mark, good to see you, sir.
7:08 pm
i want to put up on the screen mark, the comments made by rudy giuliani. i just outlined the differences. he said i do not believe and i know this is a horrible thing to have to say, but i do not believe this president loves america. and he went onto explain what he meant about the apology tour not believing in american exceptionalism and talking about it the way say ronald reagan or even bill clinton used to talking about his background with frank marshal davis and bill ayers and bernadine dohrn denying american exceptionalism. what is your reaction to that? >> well, rudy's exactly right. i've said this many years on my radio program. when somebody says they want to fundamentally transform america, then you must not love america. it's like saying i'm going to fundamentally transform my wife, or my girlfriend. that means you must not love your wife or your girlfriend. and obama has shown no indication that he loves the constitution. he never talks about capitalism.
7:09 pm
he's always bringing up the past. he's always picking at scabs. even now he's a patsy for islamic terrorism. half speeches are about how terrible america is and america shouldn't react in negative way. i want to remind this president, he likes to bring up jesus in a certain context, and i say this as a jew, you know there's an awful lot of christians in america and in europe who've died, who've been maimed, who've been harmed trying to defend innocent, peace loving muslims in the middle east, in afghanistan and so forth, and it would be nice every now and then if he would acknowledge that. and i would also say this man is the most preposterous and absurd president, modern american history maybe, any time in american history. and here's the sad fact. the sad fact is because of what he's doing or not doing, it's going to be left to the next president to deal with this. and it's going to be much worse. the genocide much more widespread. they're going to have much more
7:10 pm
geography, much more resources because this guy's not going to do it for whatever reason he is not up to the task. sean, i want to say something. >> go ahead. >> i was going to say he's no defender of muslims. muslims are being slaughtered all over the middle east they're being slaughtered in africa along with christians, along with nonbelievers in a certain sect of islam. this man is not defending them. it's those of us who speak out and who are insisting that we take effective military steps to put an end to this. we are the ones speaking out for muslims and so forth. >> and for the womens rights. you know, people go after conservatives, they don't support gay marriage, but they're standing up against the killing of gays and lesbians. they're standing up for womens rights who can't drive leave their home without a relative that's male or the horrible treatment of women under sharia. you know, but i want to -- it's
7:11 pm
almost pathological at this point. there's a cognitive dissidence we're discussing here. he refuses to acknowledge -- but has no problem talking about terrible deeds in the name of jesus. joe biden went out there today talking about terrorism in the name of the bible. they invited a radical to this summit, a guy that suggested that maybe we should look at israel as a possible co-conspirator what happened on 9/11. there's something deeper here. i can't quite put my finger on it. what do you think it is? >> i think obama is a religious and historical illiterate. i think he really does have contempt for this country. he has contempt for our military. he's demonstrated that. and rudy's exactly right. and you had mentioned this early on, who did he hang out with? he hang out with this guy khalidi who was a mouthpiece for
7:12 pm
arafat. he's exactly right rudy. his great mentor was a well-known communist sympathizer in hawaii. his father, the same thing. and so this is who indoctrinated obama. he doesn't think like us. he doesn't react the way we do. but i do want to do one thing to remind people what we're really talking about here. obama as i said is a patsy for islamic terrorism the way chamberlain was a patsy for the third reich. this won't take long. a couple sentences from ann franks diary, because you know sean, this is a war really on little girls and women. that's what's taking place the brutalization in front of our faces. ann frank said in 1944 in her diary, i reached the point where i can hardly care where i live or die. the world will keep on turning without me. and i can't do anything to change events anyway. i'll just let matters take their

the president's lack thereof battling -- some harshest words coming from former new york city mayor rudy giuliani. stated "i don't believe, and i know this is a horrible thing to say, but i do not believe that the president loves america." giuliani did not back down from
7:17 pm
his remarks. earlier today on fox & friends and on my radio show. >> first of all, i'm not questioning his patriotism. he's a patriot i'm sure. what i'm saying is in his rhetoric i very rarely hear him say the things i used to hear ronald reagan say bill clinton say, about how much he loves america. i do hear him criticize america much more often than other american presidents. and when it's not in the context of overwhelming number of statements about the exceptionalism of america, it sounds like he's more of a critic than he is a supporter. >> uh-huh. >> and you can be a patriotic american and be a critic. but then you're not expressing that kind of love that we're used to from a president. >> that's not all. senator ted cruz of texas also went after the president last night. >> what undermines the global effort is for the president of the united states to be an apologyist for radical islamist terrorists who analogize it to the crusades from over a hundred
7:18 pm
years ago. >> pete hegsheath and fox news kirsten powers with us. i don't know what else to say. to me this is almost pathological that the president freely criticizes christians goes back to the crusades, deeds in the name of christ, can't say it in the name of allah or muhammad or even recognize radical islam. why? why does he do that? >> well i think the reason he does it is because he needs to have muslim countries be allies in the fight against -- >> we need a jobs program for the poor terrorist sns. >> no, hold on. but he does -- this is not something that we can take on on our own. we do need muslims to be -- >> egyptian -- the egyptians are bombing the crap out of isis. the jordanians are bombing the crap out of them. >> trying to make this not about overall islamist -- >> but it's okay to do it about christians. >> i actually don't think it's okay and i don't think he should have said that. i don't think bringing up the crusades is relevant.
7:19 pm
we don't use that as a, you know, whenever we're having other arguments we don't ever go, oh well remember, you know, in 1300 when this happened. we don't do that. >> you mean when muslim armies conquered italy, spain, constantinople, france, when that happened? >> i think what he's trying to do is not alienate muslims who we need as allies in this fight. >> okay. now general el sisi has more courage than president obama in calling out radicalism as he challenged on new year's day for the religion to change and to take control of the radicalization of that religion. this president freely criticizes christians. he freely criticizes you know -- won't recognize a shooting, a targeted shooting of jews at a kosher supermarket. you know there's something wrong here that he would do one with regularity and not the other. >> he loves america a transformed america. he sees the history of imperialism, racism, sexism, too many christians, clingers, we're not exceptional, we're just one
7:20 pm
country among many. therefore he refuses to lead on the world stage. why won't el sisi not send ground troops because america won't lead, won't identify the true nature of the enemy. so they're going to bomb like we are but the air effects are not -- believe in america is a force for good. >> let me lay down the case here. and some of my golden old dis but i think they are so relevant now. this is a president that went on an apology tour. this is a president that denied american exceptionalism indoctrinated by frank marshal davis, acorn he sat 20 years in the church of a guy after 9/11 said gd about this country and america's "chickens have come home to roost," friends with -- starts his political career -- >> hash tag -- so many times. no but it's not -- >> this is not funny. >> but the fact you go back to church to try to talk about what he's doing. >> he is a radical himself. >> he is not a radical.
7:21 pm
>> sure he is. >> also if he is so radical and he doesn't care about protecting the united states, then why did he launch a -- triple the drone war -- >> he lost all the territory in iraq, kirsten. all of it. >> you'll never answer that. why did he expand the drone war? >> it's a way to fight war and pretend you're not fighting an enemy. it's very sanitized for the --. holding people in began guantanamo bay and getting -- it's difficult to get real intelligence. >> honestly, you could have a real argument if you would at least acknowledge that he has done things -- >> i actually give some credit. here's what i want to ask you. if you love somebody do you want to fundamentally transform them? >> i'm sorry, he cut bait there? >> he's going to. >> i don't understand where you guys are. do you want boots on the ground in iraq? is that what you're arguing for? or do you want to attack obama? >> i asked you a question. focus on the question. do you love somebody do you
7:22 pm
want to fundamentally change them? fundamentally? >> you're talking about whether he wants to fundamentally change america. >> he's apologized for america doesn't believe in american exceptionalism. >> he hasn't apologized for america. it's something you say over and over. he has been humble. and he's tried to stake responsibility for things. because i know that it's very hard for you guys to accept that actually the u.s. has done things wrong. >> how about american greatness? >> he does talk about american greatness. this is a completely made up narrative about him. >> when does he talk about american greatness? >> there are statements to make about him -- >> a common apologyist for radical islam. >> that's another thing you keep saying. and that rudy giuliani saying he doesn't, you know, love america. i mean, that is just completely out of bounds. >> you're a fair-minded democrat, you can't tell me this is your daddy's democrat, that this is bill clinton, that this is harry truman that this is a guy who loves america and believes in america is a force
7:23 pm
for good. he looks at us and says we've been the cause for problems, we're the reason -- >> that's what he talks about. >> no he does not say that. he actually has talked about an ideology behind this that there's -- exactly what he said in his speech in the last couple of days. >> got to leave it there. coming up, we have a disturbing story out of michigan possible hate crime. man stabs two victims after he asked them if they were muslim. they say no. they got stabbed multiple times. is radical islam now spreading on american soil? plus, is the administration allowing members of isis now going to come into america? well, the chairman of the house homeland security committee is here. we're now letting people syrian refugees into the country. plus, a known al qaeda operative on trial right in new york city. why didn't the president talk about that? kimberly gilfoy has details tonight. powders may take days to work. for gentle overnight relief, try dulcolax laxative tablets. ducolax provides gentle overnight relief, unlike miralax that can take up to 3 days. dulcolax, for relief you can count on.

terrance thomas brutally attacked two people with a knife after asking them if they were muslim. the victims indicated they were not muslim. thomas then stabbed each of them multiple times. joining us is the executive director of the detroit crime commission. there's a very large muslim population, well-known detroit area deerborn michigan, correct? >> yes, sir. >> this guy asks if they're muslim, they say no they get stabbed multiple times. sounds like a hate crime to me. >> it could be, sean. i mean i think we got to kind of see where the evidence falls out. it could be a hate crime it could be a terrorist act. it could be just some crazy lunatic. >> well there's obviously some component here because he says are you muslim no and they get stabbed to death -- or stabbed multiple times rather. >> right. so law enforcement goes through the evidence here as they talk to the witnesses as they look to quite frankly what he was doing on social media. that really is the key nowadays
7:27 pm
is to kind of what these people are thinking. as i said it could be a hate crime. it might be a terrorist attack. we'll see. >> what is -- what are we discovering, high muslim population, what is law enforcement doing about radicals that are known in the area? >> well, i think there's two components, sean. i think first of all what do you know and what don't you know. here in detroit the fbi and federal law enforcement has done an outstanding job of community outreach a lot based on personal relationships with community leaders. so you're trying to find out what you don't know. and that is really kind of your first set of eyes and ears. the second part as you said is the people we do know. i think what you're seeing and what's playing out on the world stage right now is intelligence agencies around the world do not have enough assets to really attack this problem. >> all right. so what about like we know in chicago, nation of islam --
7:28 pm
louis farrakhan said anti-semitic things over the years, i would like to think law enforcement has an eye on him. what about radical imams or clerics identified in the area. law enforcement keeping an eye on these guys? >> i'm sure they are, sean. >> sure they are? >> first amendment speech, protected speech or is this radical, you know, recruiting type speech. so if it crosses the line i'm sure that the fbi is definitely on top of this. >> all right. i hope so. and we're going to follow the case and find out what happens. see if the president mentions this because he's very quick to mention the case in north carolina three muslims shot, turned out to be a parking dispute. he mentioned religion there. but of course he doesn't mention religion at the summit that we've been discussing. sir, thank you. appreciate it. also tonight, syrian refugees, should they be coming to america? well, they are in record numbers. my next guest is very concerned about it. joining us now is house homeland security chairman congressman michael mccaul with us. congressman, apparently the
7:29 pm
president now wants to increase the number of syrian refugees coming into america. this is the home of isis. how do we know that the people we let in are not sympathetic towards or even a part of this group? >> well, we don't know that. this is a very dangerous and reckless policy in my judgment. i held a -- chaired an oversight hearing with fbi, with homeland security, with the national counterterrorism center. they all three witnesses stated that this would pose a greater risk to americans if we bring in these refugees from syria that have not be properly vetted. and the fbi admitted they don't have the databases to properly vet these refugees. i was actually over there, sean, and the jordanian minister of interior told me he doesn't know who these people are. so why in the world -- you know, we're working hard to keep these foreign fighters out of the united states. why in the world we have a federally sanctioned government
7:30 pm
program to bring thousands of syrian refugees into the united states that could pose a greater risk to americans. >> it's estimated that 4 million have been forced to flee syria, 7 million out of their homes, 500 have already come to the united states. and how many is the president talking about bringing in? and what d the vetting process to find out where they're sympathies lies? in other words, are they somewhat sympathetic to isis? how do we ascertain that? you almost have to read somebody's heart to find out what they're thinking, right? >> i think that's exactly right. and the fbi again because we don't have an intelligence footprint on the ground in syria, we really don't know who these individuals are that we're just going to bring into the united states. >> how many is he talking? thousands? >> thousands. >> thousands of syrians are going to come in here. i don't think we have the manpower to possibly vet all the people he's talking about, do we? >> we don't. and we can't even monitor them
7:31 pm
when they come here. remember, even in iraq we had refugees coming in from iraq. and we had two terrorists that killed americans in iraq that were allowed to come into the united states. and that's with all the intelligence on the ground we had in iraq. this is, again, i think a very dangerous policy. i'm glad you're covering this story because more americans need to know about this. i sent a letter to national security adviser susan rice asking her to explain why she's doing this and to try to stop this from happening. my job is here at homeland security is to protect the american people. i believe this will put americans at risk. >> they are burning people to death. they're beheading people. there are firing squads. there's torture. there is now we know about the slave trade of women on top of harvesting organs. and we're going to risk taking people without proper vetting or following them here? we don't have the capacity to handle that. that is a really stupid idea. i hope you stay on top of it.
7:32 pm
>> one last thing isis has telegraphed that they want to exploit the refugee process. >> of course they do. >> to gain entrance into the west and united states. we need to stop that. >> they want to meet us in new york. and they want to raise the flag of islam on the white house. that's what they have said. all right, sir. thank you. keep up the good work. >> thank you, sean. now, when we come back, there's a trial of an accused al qaeda terrorist charged with being part of a plan to blow up the new york city subway system. that's going on. kimberly gilfoil is here. also the latest on the "american sniper" trial. also later tonight some donations to the clinton foundation are raising huge red flags, foreign governments like saudi arabia could be funding potential presidential campaign. ainsley earhart with a full report tonight.
