east overnight will be making it hazardous for the commute. temperatures plunging 25 degrees below normal. and with the wind chill, some areas in the northeast will experience frigid sub-zero conditions. and a deal to exclude iran's nuclear activities may be getting closer. secretary of state john kerry says program has been made but adding obstacles could be there before the march 1st deadline. benjamin netanyahu israel's prime minister criticized the deal. and meanwhile, they say that iran is not poised to prepare a nuclear weapon. i'm kelly wright, hannity starts now. and welcome to hannity tonight, a huge announcement and it relates to the 2016 presidential race coming up in a moment. but first right here tonight on
10:01 pm
"hannity". >> mr. president, wake up. >> rudy giuliani rips into president obama, now presidential candidates are asked to weigh in. we have a full report tonight on "hannity". >> there was no doubt the appearances are awkward at best. >> also the left, turning against hillary clinton regarding accepting money from donors. >> we know we have more work to do. >> john legend using his oscar win to make comments about america. and jessica tarlove recap. and liberal academy awards. plus the somali terror group with links to al qaeda, with a chilling warning we have to pay attention to. >> i'm not telling people not to go to the mall. i think there needs to be an awareness. hannity starts right now. and welcome to hannity, the
10:02 pm
controversy swirling around former new york mayor rudy giuliani, and the comments he made about president obama's love of the country. now, the comments were op-ed, saying my intended focus was really the effect that his words and actions have on the morale of the country and how that effect may damage the country. joining us is our chief white house correspondent ed henry. they're not liking this very much, are they? >> no, sean what they tried to do at first was ridicule rudy giuliani and the campaign that didn't work they said they feel more sorry for him. now what you see with rudy giuliani, he is focusing more on the personal rather than the
10:03 pm
substantive regarding the politics. i saw the same thing play out today when the governors were here the republican and democratic governors were here bobby jindal was one of them. had when he was asked about the controversy he said the mayor should have used different words. and saying at one point, bobby jindal said the president has disqualified himself as commander-in-chief by a, not calling out islamic terror and b taking ground troops off the table to fight the threat. so what you see there are some republicans like bobby jindal saying rather than making this personal about the president they want to make it about policy. >> you know, what is interesting to me and maybe i can get your perspective on it, it seems to open up old wounds on president obama's associations such as reverend wright, saying he was family for 20 years to me.
10:04 pm
or father flager which i don't think is something they want. and it dovetails into the fact he can't say radical islam. and this potentially for iran could be the worst deal for our closest ally in that region. netanyahu. >> sure, i mean, sean the goal post on that iranian deal as you know it continues to move. at first they were not going to have centrifuges, or some, and then none, and it looks as though the president may be so eager to get the deal that they may give in more in the end. i think you're right on one hand, the white house doesn't want to talk about any of those old issues but on the other hand, when i talk to the president senior advisers they refer to this as a clown card. they say if the president wants to go down this road that they have seen conservatives go down before, they believe it could back fire on the republican
10:05 pm
presidential candidates. >> in light of him not saying radical iran or in light of a bad deal i think it gains more insight. and rudy giuliani, strong criticism of the commander-in-chief is nothing new. here is what he said about president obama and his policies earlier this month. >> it doesn't take a genius to figure out the cause for which he was murdering he told us, allah akbar, but the president of the united states doesn't see the connection. just the other day he called the slaughter of the people in france a random act, mr. president, come back on earth. >> it has been responsible for more deaths than any other terror group.
10:06 pm
they are the largest supporter of terror in the world. we will never forget the hostages that were held by the iranians. it seems president obama has forgotten it. >> and democratic strategist brian benjamin, i didn't hear one democrat criticize barack obama when he said george bush is unpatriotic, remember that? >> you know what is so crazy to watch rudy giuliani be so angry. >> i don't see anger, i see passion. >> oh, no. >> you think we're at war with radical islamists? >> i think we're at war with radical extremists -- >> in the name of allah? islam is a religion of peace. >> and when they went out and shot akbar was that terrorism -- >> you can't say islam is part
10:07 pm
of that. >> so you're saying that radical islamic terrorists don't exist. >> i'm saying that the radical extremists exist. >> you wrote a great piece about frank marshal davis and all of a sudden it opened up these old stories of reverend wright's home who would sit in his house, saying chickens camp home to roost. and gd america. who hangs out with father flager and who is this guy, frank marshal davis? who is this acorn member? it takes on more relevance. >> that is rudy's point you really need to go back to the mentoring and the president's upbringing. he said we have a president here, an original barack obama
10:08 pm
who was literally influenced by a communist who was introduced to him at 9 years old. rudy has it exactly right i did a study on it. he did -- frank marshal davis, who barack obama knew from the time he was 9 years old from the '70s until he went off to college at occidental, was a literal card-carrying member of the communist party. this guy was so bad he was placed on the security index by the federal government and listed on the scope of activity inside the united states. let me -- >> let me say one other thing, i put together a montage about obama, his friends, the radical views and what they said. because i think it's relevant now, watch. >> no no, no not god bless
10:09 pm
america, god [ bleep ] america. >> america's chickens are coming home to roost. >> yes, we did extreme things, what we did was slightly off the tracks, no question a lot of people found it despicable. >> and then out of nowhere it came hey, i'm barack obama she said where did you come from? i'm white. i'm entitled. there is a black man stealing my show! >> no justice. >> would you go to jeremiah wright's church for 20 years? i'm asking. no, no no, would you go to his church -- >> i don't know, i don't live in chicago, i don't know. >> you don't know. would you hang -- this is a guy after -- the sunday after 9/11
10:10 pm
said america's chickens have come home to roost. >> what does that have to do with obama -- obama loves this country a lot. >> now answer my question, would you go to his church? >> i probably would not? >> would you be friends with bill ayers? answer the question, it's relevant. >> answers i don't know. >> you could potentially be friends with a domestic terrorist. >> has nothing to do with him being a good president. >> well that is dragging everybody else down it doesn't hurt to say these are bad things i don't know why you can't just admit this. look we have a president influenced by very radical people. this really is unprecedented. i mean you can't find individuals like this in the background of jimmy carter, any of the bushes, ronald reagan, and it helps explain why this president is so far to the left, or a closet card-carrying communist, but these were his
10:11 pm
friends. >> that is ridiculous, 50 million americans in poverty, 92 million americans not working. this is some of the things obama said that rudy was referring to listen. >> we are five days away from fundamentally transforming the united states of america. >> america, like every other nation, has made mistakes. and has its flaws. in america there is a failure to appreciate europe's leading role in the world. there are times when americans showed arrogance. struggle for women's equality has been show. there is a struggle for african-americans and latinos being stopped by law enforcement disproportionate disproportionately. that is just a fact. i realize that america's critics will at times say we failed to live up to our ideals. that america has implementplenty of
10:12 pm
problems within our own borders. this is true, we have our own racial and ethnic tensions. >> our most costly mistakes came not from our restraint, but from our willingness to rush into conflict. >> we did some things that were wrong, we tortured some folks, some things that were contrary to our values. >> constant lecturing constant criticisms. >> parents love their children and they criticize them. obama said nowhere else on earth -- let's not talk about that. you talking about the president, 2008 he loves the country he says he loves this country, that is why the american people elected him twice. >> but if you love the country why do you want to fundamentally transform it. that is a very radical statement and that is very unusual and
10:13 pm
only his very, very unusual background helps to explain these things. >> thank you. >> good piece you have paul, thank you. all right, coming up, the oscars, john legend's acceptance speech raised a ton of eyebrows after he said we live in the most incarcerated country in the world. really? we'll debate this coming up another political speech at the oscars as actress patricia arquette demands equal pay for women. and coming up, you want to be a part of this special election straight ahead. it's more than the cloud. it's security - and flexibility. it's where great ideas and vital data are stored. with centurylink you get advanced technology solutions from a trusted it partner. including cloud and hosting services - all backed by an industry leading broadband network and people committed to helping you grow your business. you get a company that's more than just the sum of it's parts.
10:16 pm
"hannity," the 87th academy awards happened last night but for some it was not enough and accepting the best award for musician, john legend, and rapper kanye making a statement. >> we say the struggle for justice is right now. we know the voting rights that they fought for 50 years ago is being compromised in this country today. we know that right now the struggle for freedom and justice is real. we lived in the most incarcerated country in the world. there are more black men under correctional control today than were under slavery in 1850. >> all right joining me now, richard fowler, and niger ennis is back with us do you agree with this do you compare the voting rights and compromise today. is that because we ask people to identify themselves just like you need identity and a picture
10:17 pm
id to get into the democratic national convention, mr. fowler? >> hi sean, thank you for having me. >> you know to get into the dnc you need a picture id? >> that is not true i didn't need a picture id -- i had a delegate -- >> the naacp convention, richard, you were probably there. i needed an id to get in. >> i was in las vegas, but didn't need an id. >> but for houston you did. >> in las vegas, i didn't need an id. >> you are the only one that i know apparently you're so loved, you just walk in and play the celebrity card i guess and walk right through the gate. i needed an id to get it. and on top of that it is very difficult to get it. but the point here is how do you equate the voting rights act, with showing an id to get
10:18 pm
to vote so we can keep honesty and integrity in our elections, how do you like that? i like john legend as a musician but he doesn't know anything about politics. >> well, i think he is saying a great deal here, one, the voting right act is tied up right now, this is the first time in american history we don't have bipartisan support in passing the voting rights act. you have to ask yourself why they refuse to pass the act and protect, where one man gets one vote. millions of americans are disenfranchised -- whether there is voter suppression laws -- >> cite the laws. >> voting should be easy sean voting should be easy. >> and people who should not vote should not be allowed to vote -- >> should be easy to vote. >> he brought up ferguson that is why we put our hands up, he
10:19 pm
said, in his rap. and i'm listening, and i'm thinking okay, and john legend is talking about people in jail in america and occasionally we make mistakes. but i have a message about ferguson, don't rob stores, intimidate clerks, don't fight cops for their guns and don't charge the police officers as the witnesses testified to. >> as you know, sean dr. king a good friend of yourself and mine went to ferguson and met with a variety of folks in the community. and what we came out there was our message to young folk in general, and young people in general, it is hands up don't shoot, but hands up don't loot. >> our country is going through the civil rights revolution -- >> your father was on the front lines of that absolutely. >> i think the important message, these entertainers want to do the right thing but
10:20 pm
they're conflating issues and we can have a genuine debate on all the issues. >> we can have a genuine debate on all the issues but to conflate today what they're going through compared to what our ancestors had to go through in the '50s -- >>on't we hear about black on black crime. >> look, there is legitimate debate in the conservative movement about incarceration and criminal justice -- >> by the way i would argue that crack and powder are the same thing, but we also have to ask the tough questions, the hard questions which is what impact does culture and sub-cultures within communities of color have on crime. >> well, wait a second -- something -- >> niger, wait a second.
10:21 pm
>> which is that we have to look at our culture -- >> richard, we have to be honest. >> so let's be honest -- let's talk about equality income equality, and poverty. >> the problems of -- >> let's talk about the real issues, you want to make this about looting and hands up, that is an insult to all of those individuals out there where they're not -- there is no income equality and no jobs. african-american men it's killing season because of the stand your ground law. >> let me ask you this, in ferguson eyewitnesss testified he fought a clerk, robbed a store, and robbed a cop of his gun and charged the police. now, common mentions that in his rap. isn't the answer don't act that way, can you say that what michael brown did was wrong? can you say it i want to hear
10:22 pm
it. it's not a hard question, yes or no. >> in the song glory, common talks about hands up, don't shoot because that is a rally cry for millions of americans. the direction of the crowd -- listen, i have been to ferguson and know these individuals non-peaceful resistance at the end of the day whether or not -- >> should we teach children -- >> let me finish sean, whether or not he intimidated the store clerk -- >> whether or not? he threw him over to get to a potato chip -- the eyewitnesss testified he fought for the gun and fought the cop, you can't say to all young people, you don't have enough intellectual honesty to say kids don't act that way. if you act that way you're risking your life. >> i would say it, it goes beyond that. you guys are looking at one
10:23 pm
morsel of a larger picture -- >> what morsel -- >> and then we want the kids -- that doesn't work -- republicans and the policies -- >> let him talk. >> richard there is a crisis, look, you and i are both relatively young black men, okay? we have a crisis with young black men you would say it's a question of incarceration, i would say that also but we need to look at the flip of the coin negative social policies within the community. and you and i as intelligent strong black men have a responsibility to talk truth and power to our communityies. >> exactly poverty, and let's not talk about what it's not about. we have a major announcement, plus another moment from last night's academy

10:26 pm
welcome back to "hannity." so in one of the most talked about moments in last night's academy awards actress patricia at the academy awards last night, actress patricia arquette used her opportunity when she gave a speech, to talk about women's rights. >> we have fought for everybody else's equal rights, it's our time to have wage equality once and for all, and equal rights
10:27 pm
for women in the united states of america. >> so it didn't take long before president obama, senior adviser valerie jarrett gave her glowing report saying congratulations, when women succeed american succeeds. she may want to think about the pay gap at the white house. democratic pollster is with us and of course the great andrea tantaros is with us. let's go to anita dunn, she said looking back this place would be in a war court because it meets all the requirements for
10:28 pm
genuine genuinely wrong policies. the obama's white house such hypocrisy. >> i don't have an answer for that, beyond the fact the president and all liberals and everyone should just get on board with the fact we need to change. >> so in other words they can applaud patricia arquette all they want, but not do as i say, not what i do. >> i wouldn't go that far? >> you wouldn't go that far? >> well give them time. >> give them -- they're on seven, two more years. >> 52 years ago, it was only at 59 cents of the dollar now we're at 77 cents. >> so he has had six-plus years to do something. he pays the women in the white house less, andrea. >> it's pretty hypocritical, don't you think.
10:29 pm
he has had articles that discuss him golfing with only men if you're going to tweet something like that, make sure you're paying women in the white house, leading by example as much as they pay men. although i will say this patricia arquette has a point, that in hollywood women don't make as much as men make. hollywood is a billion dollar boy's club, the mysoginy really -- i would have liked for her to call them out. she should have started naming names in the audience that would have been really gutsy, but i don't think she had the courage to do that. >> kim, i know you're out there in hollywood land a lot of politics, common, john legend and patricia arquette. pay equality.
10:30 pm
i'm thinking the extravaganza i don't care what anybody is wearing or what designer it is, kim, and that is all people -- >> they spent -- >> they're in million dollar jewels, some of them. nobody was riding in an electric car pulling up. >> no rust buckets. >> right, and paying equality -- they're all concerned about the government distributing well, aren't these hip ohocrytes. >> women want to be asked the same question men are getting asked on the red carpet. you are starting to see the change. >> it was oh a beautiful dress who is your designer i'm like i don't care the average american can't relate to this. >> that is what the actresses
10:31 pm
are saying they don't want to do the mani cam, they don't want to be -- >> who is saying that publicly? >> there is a point that hollywood has an issue with women getting paid less. and i think it came to light. the e-mails that came out that showed that jennifer lawrence and amy adams got paid less than their male counterparts. there is talk in hollywood, about the lack of directors. >> i didn't see anybody riding up on their bicycles but yet so many of these people lecture us on our vehicles. it is -- >> that is why -- americans watch it because it is for the glitzy and glamorous. it is gutsy of patricia arquette and the birdman, talking about issues like immigration and civil rights. >> i don't think -- we do agree
10:32 pm
that equal pay, i take a lot of different stances regarding equal pay. >> i just want people to talk about it. >> i don't think it was gutsy because she was in a roomful of people to say that, it was not that bold. to go into a more controversial crowd -- calling out the people at sony, she didn't do that. reese witherspoon was saying ask me about my work, i get that. i can't really take them that seriously, if sheriff showed up in a burlap bag and said i just want to talk about my work, they ask the guys the same questions do they not? >> if they care about women's rights why don't they mention about treatment of women in saudi arabia and other countries under sharia law.
10:33 pm
i never hear those profound statements seems as though they make only the safe statements, is that true? >> well, you only have enough time when you receive the award, you have a small amount of time. i think what she did was a good idea, she said it in a positive way, she got a conversation going, i have seen people doing it in the same way. she didn't accuse anyone of keeping anyone down, she just said here, equal pay for women. i think that is what movies are supposed to do. >> by the way, sean, who are you wearing tonight in. >> donald trump? it's a donald trump collection. >> it's an original. >> i love his ties they're great. coming up, we have a major announcement on the 2016 election, also we'll check in with the chair, reince priebus. >> i am not telling people to
10:34 pm
not go to the mall. i think there needs to be an awareness, and vigilance and just be careful. >> the homeland security secretary is warning everybody to be careful after the terror group, al shabab, is threatening people. up next lieutenant colonel bill coooooo well, a mortgage shouldn't be a problem your credit is in pretty good shape. >>pretty good? i know i have a 798 fico score thanks to the tools and help on experian.com. kaboom... well, i just have a few other questions. >>chuck, the only other question you need to ask is, "what else can you do for me?" i'll just take a water... get your credit swagger on. become a member of experian credit tracker and find out your fico score powered by experian. fico scores are used in 90% of credit decisions.

. welcome back to hannity, the terrorist group al shabab posted a disturbing video on line threatening attacks in malls in london and canada and even the mall of america on sunday. jeh johnson was asked about this very threat. >> i'm not telling people not to go to the mall. i think there needs to be an awareness, and vigilance, and just be careful, obviously. it's a new phase we're in a new phase right now. and that involves public
10:40 pm
participation in our efforts. >> here with reaction, fox news military analyst, bill cowen and former director bo dietl. why is this a surprise to anybody? >> well the somalians over there, they're not doing too good with the hijacking of ships so now they need some energy. so there are some of them over in minnesota, something is going to happen over there. my biggest problem is, are they effectively secure enough where they have enough fire power if something happens that they can go in there and handle something happening. >> colonel cowen, what is your assessment? how big do you think the threats would be? >> well, sean we have had threats since the 9/11, so there
10:41 pm
are no specific threats, i see the secretary of homeland security starting to talk about these things because there is a bit of a fear factor, the senate is sitting on the matter. consistent, the threats have been consistent, forever, a little fear factor puts pressure on congress and the senate to pass that bill. >> newt made a great comment the other day, they have been at war since 197, ken, tanzania, the u.s. trade center bombing. >> i'm glad they're saying things like this, let people keep aware there is a real threat at all times. of course if we get real complacent, we'll have a problem. we should not pull back on that. we should send the money where we need to send it with tsa.
10:42 pm
by the republicans holding back on that money, i think it is ridiculous. that is an honor ronald reagan, i wear this hat for one thing, to remember the last great president we had with this thing that we have in the oval office right now. thank you. coming up, a major announcement about the 2016 elections involve earning the hannity show. plus new trouble about accepting donations, how will she deal with saudi arabia when they took all that money. the president of the rnc will be here to explain it next. image matters. i want some gray...but not too much. only touch of gray uses oxygen to gently blend away some gray but not all for that perfect salt and pepper look. satisfaction guaranteed. just you and the look you want. just for men touch of gray do you want to know how hard it can be to breathe with copd? it can feel like this. copd includes chronic bronchitis and emphysema.

10:48 pm
mainstream media has not dealt with questions. >> the idea when she came out as secretary of state, they loosened the strings again. it goes to the joke the expensive equipment, they have throughout their political careers been obsessed and insecure about money, whether it's on the political side. the thing they feared most is being behind on the philanthropist side -- >> here now is the chairman, reince priebus. good to see you. >> thisgood to see you. >> this is now getting a lot of traction millions raised. what is the reason -- >> the power of well-funded
10:49 pm
special interest helps our democracy away from the people and toward the powerful. action is required to defend our great democracy against those who would see it perverted into one more rigged game where the rich and the powerful always win. >> that is narrated by elizabeth warren interestingly enough. pretty powerful. we talk about ua iran, all of these category 1s. >> and many of them housing criminals and everyone else across the globe. look, i think what hillary has set up is a situation where she is going to have to disclose every single foreign government that has given money to the united states. and more that have since given money to the clinton foundation. so i would think about who is
10:50 pm
disqualified to run from the left media to everything somebody else says, she couldn't possibly run without disclosing -- >> you called for that. it made a lot of news. here is what i want to know. if republicans mitt romney has women's resume? how about well in saudi arabia, they can't drive or be seen in public. if you accept jesus in your heart, the penalty is death. >> taking millions of dollars from these people how will it compromise her ability to be president if she should become president. what does this money do? the thing about women hillary clinton was also in the news the last couple of days because she is not fairing women their fair share in their own office.
10:51 pm
she thinks 75 cents on the dollar, and what she pays the white house, you can ask anita dunn about how women are paid in the white house they can ask serious questions, not these silly questions that are there. >> how many time you do you think he was asked about an unrepentant person -- >> i think it was george stephanolopous. >> there was a tweet the other day that said our candidates have been asked more about barack obama's background so far this year than barack obama was asked in 2008. >> that is true. >> in the meantime, we have
10:52 pm
mystery talks about iran sanctions. we have isis without any sort of strategy going on across the world. and we have hillary clinton taking millions from foreign governments and she wants to be president of the united states. >> and every reporter wants to ask every potential republican candidate about what they think of rudy giuliani's comments? >> well, it really is silly all of this idea that we're talking about what do you think is in the cameraman's heart over here? >> we plays jesus in the passion play every year -- >> i want to just ask the person, these silly ridiculous questions about what is in somebody's heart that nobody really knows. >> you have made an announcement about debates and you have changed the rules for a while. you decided you won't put
10:53 pm
