rdict. you can see it on facebook.com/thekellyfile. join me tomorrow morning. i will see you at 9:00 a.m. eastern on "america's newsroom." thanks for watching everybody. i'm martha maccallum. this is "the kelly file." tonight, three charged with plotting to help isis militants. we'll explain what they were plotting. >> we the jury found the defendant eddie ray routh guilty. >> the man accused of killing "american sniper" chris kyle and his friend chad littlefield is found guilty. tonight, in a "hannity" exclusive hear from a man who served alongside kyle. and kimberly here with reaction. >> how did you grow up, giuliani? a privileged cracker. >> lewis farrakhan launches a violent attack on former new york city mayor rudy giuliani. ann coulter is here and charles krauthammer with what he's
7:01 pm
looking for in a gop candidate. welcome to "hannity." disturbing arrests made on u.s. soil related to isis. two men detained in new york city and one in florida for allegedly plotting to bomb coney island and attack president obama. earlier today nypd commissioner bill bratton he spoke about the severity of this plot. listen in. >> in a joint operation that arrests were made of three individuals for actions directed against the united states. the initial actions were to go to syria and attempt to join isil in syria. it was made quite plain based on statements that if they were not able to go that they would seek to acquire weapons here, handguns, machine gun, and seek to attack very specifically police officers. so this is real. this is the concern about the lone wolf inspired to act without ever going to the middle
7:02 pm
east or the concern of once they get to the mideast acquire fighting skills capabilities and then attempting to return to the country. >> all right. joining me now for more on reaction to the story retired fbi special agent and former nypd sergeant manuel gomez with us. thank you. welcome. one thing i was glad to see in the investigation and complaint is that in fact they are monitoring social media. >> yes. >> and that's basically how they began to put this together? >> sure. one of the things that the intelligence and law enforcement authorities in the u.s. and internationally our allies have become very good at is monitoring social media the internet, things of that nature. the main problem that we do have are people that don't go out and voice their opinion about violence against the united states, about wanting to join isis. >> it's interesting because i have people on social media that contact me, send me messages where i press a button and it translates from arabic.
7:03 pm
and i can actually read. there are thousands and thousands of communications that have been sent to me on twitter facebook and other social media that i have read that are beyond disturbing. do you think we really have a handle on this? >> we do. we could always have a better handle at it. the internet and communications are just growing exponentially year in and year out. the government is doing a great job of doing this just in this case. we have not had a suck eszful attack on u.s. soil in such a long time. that being said the numbers are telling. isis is extremely good at recruiting people. they recruit an average of about 50 people a day. and it's just that statistically a matter of how many of these attacks could be prevented before one actually happens. >> so they first came to the attention of law enforcement when they expressed this on social media. the plan was that they would go and through istanbul they would travel there, then to syria and
7:04 pm
the plan was to join isis. and they had a backup plan. and the backup plan was if they couldn't join isis there they would be committing attacks here in the u.s. and in new york. what do you read out of this complaint? what do we learn from this? >> we learn that these people have one thing in their mind. and that's violence and death. if they weren't going to help the cause abroad in syria, they were going to do whatever they can. and that's exactly what isis and isil is saying. what they're saying if you can't come and join our cause here, take an ax, bat, gun, do whatever you can, take to the streets, kill law enforcement, kill military. and do whatever you can for the cause in your own backyard. >> why are so many young people drawn to this barbaric evil group? in other words you have people in great britain, the united states, elsewhere flocking to join these animals. what is the allure? what is the draw for them do you think? >> it's the classic gang
7:05 pm
mentality. back in the day the youth would join gangs to be part of something. these were people that were either depressed or didn't belong -- or feel they had a sense of belonging to an entity. and here is isis putting out these amazing website productions calling to them saying, hey, be part of this. be part of this greater cause. and also affecting their religious beliefs. >> the fbi director says they're in 49 of 50 states. so this is just the tip of the iceberg, right? >> absolutely. a lot more to come. >> if you listen to president obama the islamic state is not islamic. >> that's what he's saying. >> pretty asinine. >> agreed. new reports out of northern syria that isis has in fact kidnapped over 100 christians, mostly women and children. they're selling these women in to slavery. here are texas congressman ted poe and nina shay. i have been getting reports regularly from people on the ground syria, northern iraq that are telling me the same
7:06 pm
thing. that this problem that there is a mass, mass imprisonment of christians. christians are being pushed out of their homes taken prisoner daughters being sold into slavery, body organs are now being as we know harvested. and it is worse than the west is fully aware of. how bad is it from what you're hearing? >> sean they're trying to eradicate the non-muslim minorities. they're trying to eradicate the christians, the yazidis this is part of their goal. this is also part of their war strategy. but it's also their goal. they're trying to purify the land for islam. they're trying to create a caliphate. and that is why it is so important for our policymakers, for our president to realize -- >> he's never going to do it. he's stuck in his arrogance and ignorance. so now the question is you know, i kind of am glad that the jordanians have reacted the
7:07 pm
egyptians have reacted. the only thing that seems to get this president motivated is benjamin netanyahu who is running for re-election and he wants to do everything he can to sabotage that. but are all those reports about women being sold into sexual slavery true? has your group confirmed that as i have talked to people on the ground? >> yes. yes. the u.n. rights to child committee even acknowledged that this is happening with children, with girl children of the minority. >> why is there an obsession with young women between the ages of 1 and 9? why do they go for the highest price? >> it's part of their sick radical ideology. we really need to step up the air strikes. you know, sean, there were 33 christian villages along the river that were attacked in syria this week. and practically everybody has been pushed out of those areas by isis. and it was predictable.
7:08 pm
there are over 100 now held hostage. heaven help them because they are in for a very rough time i fear. >> congressman -- >> i fear for them. >> it's horrible what's happening. congressman, you have come up with a proposal that isis should not have access to twitter and other social media. i have been lucky enough people that i don't know that are strangers that send me information on a regular basis a daily basis even, that monitor and follow the accounts of radical jihadists. and i know because of what they send me that they are reporting what it is they are finding. if our government doesn't have the resources to fully monitor social media, isn't it better that we know who they are and maybe have the capacity to track them down? >> couple of things sean. they're engaging in cyber jihad in the sense that they not only use this twitter for example for propaganda purposes they use it to raise money, and they also use it for recruitment. and a foreign terrorist
7:09 pm
organization, which isis is a designated terrorist organization, the law is very clear that they cannot receive any type of aid or service or it's a violation of federal law. so they ought to take down these -- >> last week i got into a big fight with a guy identifying himself as jihadi johnny. so i just started saying he was a coward and started, you know pushing him to reveal himself in the hopes. and he was threatening me, kind of, you know, saying things to me that were not exactly nice. but then the hope that we can maybe track these people down. in other words, why put them in to hiding? and secondly, once you close down one account, what i've seen what i've learned, is they just open another account. >> that is true sean, except that it's against federal law to aid these individuals. we wouldn't let isis take out an ad in "new york times" to recruit people to go overseas and kill americans. we wouldn't allow that. and we should not allow twitter to use social media -- >> but don't you want to know
7:10 pm
what they're thinking? because they also communicate with each other. if we shut them down, aren't we shutting down a potential avenue to catch them and apprehend them or bomb the crap out of them? >> well, sean their recruitment has increased because of social media. it has not diminished. there are more of them going overseas than ever before and it's all because of social media. it seems to me that twitter ought to do like google for example and facebook and take these accounts down. we would not allow people to put child pornography on the internet. that's against the law. and the same is true about people who want to commit who are specific foreign terrorist organizations should not be allowed to recruit on the internet -- >> but one of the most successful sting operations -- i know your intentions are. i know you're very well intentioned and your heart is in the right place. i know you want to fight these guys. i have no questions about your motives. one of the best ways law enforcement what they've been
7:11 pm
able to do with these perverted pedophiles out there is, you know pose as young women and engage in conversations and set them up and take them to jail. >> well, that is correct. law enforcement should be able to use the -- have access to what they are doing now to go after these individuals. >> all right. >> but the wholesale allowing them to use twitter for example to recruit violates federal law. >> all right. i appreciate it, congressman. appreciate it so much. ms. shea thank you. the jury has spoken in the "american sniper" murder trial. we'll speak with a key witness for the prosecution and get reaction from kevin lace who was a friend of chris kyle. later ann coulter is here. are the republicans caving on immigration? and governor bobby jindal, governor -- and a cpac and our trip starting tomorrow coming up

7:14 pm
welcome back to "hannity." it was just 24 hours ago that the verdict was announced in the "american sniper" murder trial case. eddie ray routh was found guilty by a jury of his peers of capital murder and sentenced to life in prison. joining me now kevin lacy, he was friends with chris kyle and he served alongside him in iraq. kevin also helped train bradley cooper for his role in the movie. also with us forensic psychiatrist dr. michael arembrula, testified for the prosecution in the case and kimberly, co-host of "the five." kevin, i know this has been a tough trial for the family. i know taya i know wayne, i know his brother. gotten to know the family.
7:15 pm
i love them all. what was their reaction last night? >> you know, i haven't spoken with any of the family but i hadn't really followed the trial. watching your program last night and saw the verdict come down. the first thing i could think about, chris's kids chad's daughter. it's a painful and tragic reality they have to live in. and it's final. it's something we have to deal with. and i think february 2nd is something that changed their lives. for me as a s.e.a.l. and former s.e.a.l., i've lost a lot of friends along the way and now as health care provider, physician's assistant there's a grieving process. i think this trial loomed over that grieving process. i hope now we can adjust and realize what life's going to be like going on without chris and chad. >> why did taya walk out during closing arguments by the defense? >> i'm not 100% sure. but watching your show last night -- >> i don't blame her by the way. she's been through a lot. >> yeah, it's been tough on the family. like i said the grieving process has been two years plus now and this trial has loomed
7:16 pm
over and taking that next step was the closure we received last night. >> yeah. doctor, you testified on behalf of the prosecution in this case. tell me why this defense is so hard to work in a court. >> typically the insanity defenses are raised in more serious types of felony cases like murder for example or homicide. when a jury ponders relieving somebody of what they did in the face of somebody whose life was taken, i think that's where the rubber meets the road. and that makes it very difficult to make that kind of decision. >> yeah. all right. k.g., you were a -- >> former homicide prosecutor. >> former homicide prosecutor. this really hurt watching this. i got to know the family. wayne, taya wonderful people.
7:17 pm
taya wonderful testimony. she was holding chris's dog tags when she testified. >> i was getting the kids into the, you know, the family car to go out to dinner because since i hadn't heard from him -- well, first of all, leann chad's wife called me said have you heard from the guys? i haven't heard from them. so i called onc didn't get an answer. and then -- i believe so. i didn't get an answer. at least i think i did. but then i -- then i texted are you okay. i'm getting worried. it's kind of hard not to put some of it together that i haven't heard from him and i'm worried and i haven't heard from him and then a police officer shows up. a lot of times in the military there's rumors somebody got hurt or something's gone down but i knew from experience where you don't go to that place until you
7:18 pm
believe it until it's earned because you can borrow a whole lot of trouble. i did see him say hey, mark, what's up? like i'm going to believe the best. he said have you seen chris's truck? and i said, no, mark, i haven't. what's going on? and he said, he goes well i think chris has been hurt. >> what do you think the evidence was in this case that the jury was out less than two hour sns. >> well i think the prosecution's case was very powerful. keep in mind that the defense has the burden to show that the defendant didn't understand the difference between right and wrong. and i think they clearly failed with their burden. when you look at the defendant's own words, which was very powerful evidence that came in against him, that statement right after he had murdered chris and chad. they heard that. then you saw what the prosecution presented in terms what seemed like he was trying to fabricate or make a case for himself. that was crucial testimony from the officers saying, oh i'm feeling a little paranoid or
7:19 pm
schizophrenic today. that looks like a setup. the jury didn't buy it and it was swift justice. >> we have some of the evidence when eddie ray routh's video confession the day he was murdered. here's the video i think played a very big part in this. >> i didn't want to or didn't -- i had to. you know that situation i was in today. >> kimberly, he went onto say i gave them a fair chance. he shot them in the back. >> no that's what a coward does. and here the jury clearly felt he intended to kill, that he knew what he was doing with his actions. you can't just say, oh i'm feeling mentally ill. that's not enough. that's not the standard. you have to show clearly did he know the difference between right and wrong and statements and his actions. >> it only works 2% of the time. >> and doesn't matter if you voluntarily intoxicated yourself and drank or took drugs. the law will not excuse murder when you do a voluntary act like
7:20 pm
that. nor should it. >> kevin are you happy with the verdict here? what do you think it's going to take for the family? it's going to take a long time for these families -- i don't know how you recover. these men sacrifice so much. they come back from war and they'd been risking their lives every day and trying to help people and this is what happens. it's such a tragedy. >> you know, the loss of mark lee and ryan joe was tough on chris. and we've all lost a lot of fellow team guys. it's that grieving process. i think this trial was something that loomed over the family. just the closure this verdict has brought i think is going to help move forward. but it's a different reality without chris and chad. my prayers are with them and their families. >> my prayers with them as well. please send my best to all of them. appreciate you being here. coming up next tonight right here on "hannity". >> an illegal alien on his third gun charge was visiting a neighbor where my son was coming home. he shot my son in the stomach and then in the head killing him. >> emotional, powerful testimony from the family members of those
7:21 pm
killed by illegal immigrants that are living right here in the u.s. up next, the always outspoken ann coulter will weigh-in. and later tonight here on "hannity". >> how did you grow up giuliani? a privileged cracker? or i should say a privileged devil. >> privileged devil cracker. nation of islam leader louis farrakhan spewing his hate at former new york mayor rudy giuliani. coming up, bobby jindal darrell issa weigh in on that and a preview of our trip to washington straight ahead. this tylenol arthritis lasts 8 hours but aleve can last 12 hours. and aleve is proven to work better on pain than tylenol arthritis. so why am i still thinking about this? how are ya? good. aleve. proven better on pain.

7:24 pm
them. watch some of this. >> my son was murdered while walking on his own street, three houses down from his home. an illegal alien on his third gun charge was visiting a neighbor where my son was coming home. he shot my son in the stomach and then in the head killing him. the illegal alien dreamer that murdered my son only served four months of an eight-month sentence for assault with a deadly weapon and battery on a police officer. he was released from the county jail the day before he executed my son. >> while working the overnight shift at his quiktrip store, grant assisted a man buying cigarettes, the man pulled a gun said you're not going to take my money and you're going to give me my cigarettes. the alleged murder is an illegal immigrant. according to a news article detailing his 2012 arrest he's
7:25 pm
a self-proclaimed member of the mexican mafia and says he has ties to the drug cartel. >> do black lives really matter? or does it matter only if you are shot by a white person or a white policeman? the district attorney proved in court that my son was murdered because he was black and wearing a spiderman backpack. i see in here black politicians, black athletes black stars say hands up don't shoot. my son was shot in the head by an illegal alien gang banger while he lay on his back with his hands up. he still shot him through his hand into his head and killed him. yes, black families matter. yes, military families matter. all families matter. but the duty of the u.s. government is to always put american families first. >> here with reaction author columnist ann coulter. ann, that was powerful. here's a guy saying do black lives really matter or does it
7:26 pm
only matter if you're shot by a white policeman or white person? in other words, why stay silent when a black american is shot by an illegal immigrant likely let out by his justice department. >> right. and consider what a narrow category this is we're hearing from today. these are illegal aliens already convicted of crimes in this country scheduled for deportation whom the obama administration released and then went onto commit heinous crimes against yet more americans. how about all non-citizens who are killing americans in this country instead of #blacklivesmatter. how many american lives matter. a lot more americans killed by immigrants than killed by isis. the number is four now. and as long as you don't go to syria you're safe from isis xz r, as i pointed out in my column this week, americans are more likely to be killed by vander
7:27 pm
vanderslute than isis. why is that not losing every news show tonight? >> so we have the issue of funding the department of homeland security even though 87% whether they fund it or not is going to be working. but it's a bigger issue. and mitch mcconnell wants to bifurcate the issue of funding homeland security and the issue of funding obama's executive amnesty. ted cruz says no our constitutional authority is the power of the purse and advice and consent. and we need to use it now. and if the department of homeland security's not funded, put it on the democrats. who do you stand with strategically? >> well, of course ted cruz. but you have to understand that mitch mcconnell will get all kinds of dividends on this from editorials in "new york times." they will be praising his bravery. >> is that what we want now? conservative leaders to be on the "new york times." >> takes a lot of courage to betray your constituents, to
7:28 pm
break your promise in the interest of bipartisanship and that is what mitch mcconnell is going for. no, of course this is a total cave. it is nothing like prior government shutdowns. it's not a government shutdown. how many times do we have to go through this? the entire government is funded except this one agency, department of homeland security which as you say they all have to go to work anyway. they're all essential employees except a few secretaries. and this nonsense line we keep getting from republicans like kelly, mitch mcconnell, bob corker please write your senators viewers that, oh, but the media will blame -- the media blames republicans for everything. >> it's an irrational fear that they are going to get blamed for a shutdown. no, the democrats have filibustered four separate occasions. >> right. >> to even debate the issue of funding the department of homeland security. >> and i would add in this context that two ghkts have said they would vote with the republicans.
7:29 pm
>> manchin. >> on defunding obama's amnesty not only joe manchin from west virginia but claire mccaskill from missouri. and claire mccaskill, i don't like her politics, but she's a good politician. i would look at what claire mccaskill is doing or how voters voted last november to see if this is a strong issue for republicans. instead of sitting back and whining about how the media is unfair, how about taking to the air waves? how about telling americans that it is democrats who are refusing to fund the department of homeland security unless it also includes funding to produce work permits for illegal aliens to give every illegal alien $25,000 in welfare payments they weren't able to receive as long as they were able, to give social security cards to illegal aliens. it is one thing for obama to say we are not going to waste a lot of resources hounding these people out of the country. it's another thing for them to be printing work permits and sending them checks from the u.s. treasury. but again at least mcconnell
7:30 pm
will get good press from "new york times." i wouldn't say much from the republican party though. >> i agree with you. ann coulter, thank you so much. when we come back charles krauthammer is here to weigh in on 2016 presidential candidates. >> how did you grow up, giuliani? a privileged cracker? or i should say a privileged devil. >> a privileged devil cracker. nation of islam leader screwy louis farrakhan takes a nasty swipe at former new york city mayor rudy giuliani. coming up next louisiana governor bobby jindal, california congressman darryll issa. they come to giuliani's defense as we continue straight ahead. 7:34 pm
7:37 pm
the media loves to try to get republicans to throw each other under the bus. they never ask the democrats these kinds of questions. and you go back to what the mayor said. now, even he said he could have used different words, but the gist of what he was saying i believe we've got a president who's disqualified himself to be commander in chief. he refuses to name the threat of radical islamic terrorism. his state department acts like all we need is another jobs program. we need to give them more foreign aid. this is a war against evil. we need the president to say we're going to hunt them down and kill them. he needs to name the threat as radical islamic terrorism. for some reason he can't use those words. >> congressman, let's take a look at -- i interviewed the mayor right here on this program late last week. he was very clear. and he was talking about his radical background association. but it's also the things that obama has said. the mayor was saying he never
7:38 pm
extols america's goodness and greatness and generosity and sacrifice for the cause of liberty worldwide. and talking about obama constant constantly apologizeing for america. here's what he meant. >> we are five days away from fundamentally transforming the united states of america. america like every other nation has made mistakes. and has its flaws. in america there's a failure to appreciate europe's leading role in the world. there have been times where america's shown arrogance. struggle for women's equality continues in many aspects of american life. there's a long history in this country of african-americans and latinos being stopped by law enforcement disproportionately. that's just a fact. i realize that america's critics will be quick to point out that at times we too have failed to live up to our ideals that america has plenty of problems
7:39 pm
within its own borders. this is true. so, yes, we have our own racial and ethnic tensions. our most costly mistakes came not from our restraint but from our willingness to rush in to military adventures. in the immediate aftermath of 9/11 we did some things that were wrong. we tortured some folks. we did some things that were contrary to our values. >> and congressman, and then his wife, not once but twice said this. >> for the first time in my adult lifetime i'm really proud of my country. and not just because barack has done well, but because i think people are hungry for change. >> not proud of world war ii and america beating back fascism and naziism and imperial japan? not proud of america getting and walking on the moon? how do you analyze that? >> you know, many of us are proud of who we are as a nation,
7:40 pm
what we've done what we stand for. we recognize that there are things we can do better. but there's a huge difference between being proud of our country and being only proud of our country changes. i'm proud of our country. and i want to work for change in a positive direction. rudy giuliani used some words that he regrets. and he really has, but he does have these constant messages coming from the president that he doesn't seem to be proud of the country we now live in, only the one we could become if we became more like europe. if we were like france we would all be speaking german. the fact is america has stood up to tyranny time and time again. this president's challenge is to stand up to the tyranny of islamic terrorists. and if we don't then in fact we'll go the way of so many nations who have failed to meet that last challenge. and that last challenge right now comes from people who have distorted a religion for their own purposes. but it is a religion that
7:41 pm
they're extolling and in countries they want to form based on that perverse version of islam. if you don't call it islamic terrorism, what do you call it? >> governor, how do you explain the constant attacks -- how do you explain an american who grew up here in your 40s for the first time in my adult life i'm proud of my country. how do you say those things? how do you associate with the people he's associating with? >> sean, it is inconceiveable to me. i think we have the first president who truly does not believe in american exceptionism exceptionism. jimmy carter was incompetent, but at least he believed in america. it's not just about america. this was a president who went to the national prayer breakfast and tried to bring up the crusades and say who are we as christians to be talking about others? it is amazing to me he's the commander in chief, i would love for him to say what my parents believe which is this is the greatest country in the history of the world. my parents came over 40 years
7:42 pm
ago halfway across the world. they'd never been on a plane before. and then they knew in their bones this was an amazing place with freedom and opportunity. i'd lof for -- they don't exist but i'd love there to be so many clips of this president telling the world what a great country america is. reagan described us as that shining city on the hill. he's always apologizing and bringing up the crusades. what you don't seem to hear is here's the threat of radical islamic terrorism. they're evil. don't say specifically condemn by name these individuals say they're not martyrs, their not going to reward the afterlife. he's our commander in chief. he's really supposed to be the leader of the free world. >> congressman, i'll give you the last world. >> well, bobby's saying it very well. his family came 40 years ago. my grandfather came almost 100 years ago. the fact is people have been coming to america because of the greatness that we've offered.

and if the president any president, doesn't believe that deep in their heart then they can't do the job that is so important. and i know that governor jindal is one of the many people on a short list to be considered for the next president of the united states. the fact is we need somebody who's passionate about the country as it is and then dreams of it being better not something who's apologizing for who we are and what we've done for over 200 years. >> congressman, governor, thank you both for being with us. coming up, the one and only charles krauthammer. he's here to break down the 2016 republican field. find out what he is looking for in a republican candidate. that's next straight ahead. sir, we're going to need you on the runway later. don't let a severe cold hold you back. get theraflu... ...with the power of three medicines to take on your worst pain and fever cough and nasal congestion. it breaks you free from your toughest cold and flu symptoms. theraflu. serious power. i'm type e. my golden years will not just be gold plated. i had 3 different 401(k)s.

welcome back to "hannity." so we're headed to cpac tomorrow. we'll be interviewing most of the major 2016 presidential candidates. here with me to break down the gop field is the author of best selling book "things that matter, three decades of passions pastimes and politics," "new york times" number one best seller, dr. charles krauthammer. what would you like me to ask every candidate? is there a particular question or any one question you would want most answered as i interview them on thursday and friday? >> well, look, i think you've got to ask them what's your

program? in other words, we talk about reform. it's not enough to attack obama. everybody in the field can easily attack obama. but obama's not running. it's good if you're able to make a case against hillary. there are a lot of cases you can make. wall street, about the way they have been running after money all their lives, how unreliable they are and also the fact that hillary, you ask does she stand for anything? and it's really hard to answer that other than hillary, like clintons do. but i think the republicans have to have a program. doesn't have to have a nine-point program, but he has to explain how he's going to address the real problems. the worst polling number of the 2012 election was the one where they asked which candidate cares about someone like you. and obama won that one i think it was 81 to 19. >> wow. >> saddam would have been higher than that. that's a 62-point gap. >> ouch. >> you have got to be able to
7:50 pm
make a connection. now, i know there's a cliche but there are some candidates who have it whatever it is and they're the ones we're going to need. because i think a young, vigorous articulate candidate articulate candidate can substantively be able to go up against hillary, and win >> i agree everything you're saying i agree that there is a country as bad as obama is almost getting as open-for me, it's simple, i want someone going to battle our enemy that is coming to america, again. i want someone to secure the border, balance budgets and stop immorality of robbing from future generations i want someone to help america be energy independent i love school choice.
7:51 pm
simple, but would change the country. i'm looking for the most-conservative candidate with a vision they can articulate and inspire the american people to get behind, and win. >> that is the right attitude because look. in two elections, that had to do only with congress, 2010, 2014, we destroyed the democrats because off year elections are not run on issues. but then when you add a candidate at the top, as you do on a presidential election, that tells you, if you can run on the issues if you can articulate america being strong it's not hard to do. if you can make that case,
7:52 pm
you're going to win. we know republican policies prevail. >> thank you joining me now is the man that organized cpac this year. >> it's an honor to be back this year. i know i will be speaking friday. but will -- i will have an opportunity, you have ted cruz marco rubio, jeb bush scott walker, rick perry, let's see, rick santorum donald trump. tell us why this is so important i look at this as post-labor day. of this is the beginning. >> this is where it starts, sean. what is great for accidents come interesting around the country is that they're going to hear from the next president of the united states because i'm bull wrish to stop chances from picking up a third win. >> i agree.
7:53 pm
people ask me who do you want? i have not decided i'm looking for the most-conservative candidate because conservative solutions work with an inspiring vision to solve nation's problems, that can articulate that vision with passion, and win. that is what i'm looking for. >> yes. that is right. i mean we've been talking about the fact we have a really good and deep bunch. almost everyone we've been talking about is running. i think these activists are going to hear the pitch and it's going to have a big impact on what happens. >> i think i'm going to be interviewing some of the candidates in the round on stage, out in radio road. can we give people a hint of doing? >> sure. you're going to be sitting down with two of the candidates jeb bush and marco rubio asking them for 20 minutes all kinds of
7:54 pm
questions that are on the minds of conservatives and going to sit down with ted cruz and donald trump, and you're going to ask them questions after they give remarks the key this year is that you don't get to come to the room without answering the questions asked of you. >> matt, thank you very much. when we come back, we need your help and the interviews of the day. and we want your input and help. next. congratulations. you're down with crestor. yes! when diet and exercise aren't enough, adding crestor lowers bad cholesterol up to 55%. crestor is not for people with liver disease or women who are nursing, pregnant, or may become pregnant. tell your doctor all medicines you take. call your doctor if you have muscle pain or weakness, feel unusually tired have loss of appetite, upper belly pain, dark urine or yellowing of skin or eyes. these could be signs of serious side effects. i'm down with crestor! make your move. ask your doctor about crestor.
