la guardia airport. the delta airliner skidded off a runway and crashed into a fence. 24 people were hurt. residents are preparing for extremely cold temperatures on friday. michael brown's parents are suing the city of ferguson, missouri, as well as former officer darren wilson. the 18-year-old brown was unarmed when he was fatally shot during an altercation with wilson last summer. word of the suit comes after a report that the justice department says the ferguson police department was unfairly targeting blacks. let me know what you think. see you tomorrow. welcome to "hannity." this is a fox news alert. legendary hollywood actor harrison ford was involved in a plane crash landing earlier tonight in california. at this hour ford is in the hospital with what authorities are now describing as moderate
10:01 pm
injuries. standing by with much more in our west coast newsroom is our very own trace gallagher. trace. >> and, sean if you look at the crash scene this is a very good indication that harrison ford is a heck of a pilot. he took off this afternoon from santa monica airplane where he keeps planes. he was no more than a mile into his flight headed toward the pacific ocean when he heard the engine quit. and the world war ii era military plane began turning around. i want you to listen now to harrison ford's emergency call to air traffic control. play this. >> engine failure. immediate return. >> ryan 178 runway 21 clear to land. >> go to 3. >> clear to land. >> tower, unit three, did you see the last location? >> unit three, i didn't. looks like it was short of the runway. >> now for pilots who fly out of santa monica airport it is standard operating procedure to use that golf course in venice as an emergency go-to. it is literally right across the
10:02 pm
street from the end of the runway. the plane is probably 200 yards from the runway. plus, you've got houses on both sides of that golf course. but not only did he set it down he was able to nearly thread the needle between some trees. witnesses say he did come in and glance off one tree and then the landing gear caught the grass. and as you see it slammed the nose into the ground. harrison ford was seated in the back. he was then helped by two doctors who just happened to be playing golf. he was rushed to ucla medical center where he's in fair condition. we're told he has cuts on his face and there's a possibility he may have broken a leg. his son, ben ford, tweeted "at the hospital dad is okay, battered but okay. he is every bit the man you would think he is. he is an incredibly strong man." harrison ford has been flying airplanes since the 1960s. he also flies helicopters. in fact, back in 1999 he had a crash landing in a helicopter near los angeles, but he was not badly hurt in that one either.
10:03 pm
the faa, the ntsb both on the scene. they held a briefing about an hour and 15 minutes ago but did not have much more to add than we already know. harrison ford being called a hero by many because he was able to get that plane down and not anywhere near the houses that surround the airport and the golf course. >> trace gallagher thank you so much. joining us now with more reaction is former commercial airline instructor kathleen bangs and in touch weekly senior editor kim sarafin. obviously a world war ii plane old, got to worry about the condition of it. but number two, had this 1999 crash of a helicopter and then in 2000 he had a plane go off the runway. so now this is three instances where he's had issues with flying. we often hear it's pilot error. you think there's any issues here? >> well one thing about
10:04 pm
harrison ford in the hollywood aviation community he probably has the best reputation. he's got over 4,000 flight hours. he's been licensed for 20 years. he's flown jets. he owns a jet. i mean, harrison has a lot of respect from people in the aviation community. so i would think that most likely with this being a very old world war ii vintage primary trainer, it's called a ryan pt-22. i think the first thing we want to find out did the engine quit, was it mechanical failure. we had reports from people on the scene that they heard the engine quit and harrison ford made that emergency call to the santa monica tower. first thing they're going to find out was it fuel starvation? did this plane have fuel on board and perhaps did a fuel pump quit or something else with the engine. >> kathleen one thing i will say just looking at the landing where he did land that airplane on a golf course, seemed like a pretty smart maneuver and
10:05 pm
probably a difficult one, right? >> very. when you do a 360 view around that golf course where he crash landed there's houses just yards away like a couple hundred feet. so he really had his act together. you can see how calm and cool he sounded on the radio. i think he really did an outstanding job. and something that could have been a catastrophe not just for him but people that lived in that neighborhood. very impressive bit of piloting. >> we're all glad he survived this. very difficult. very smartly landed on a golf course. he's really well liked out in hollywood, isn't he? >> yeah. and as you mentioned a few of the crashes he'd been involved in, he's also been involved in rescue missions. he rescued a missing boy scout back in like 2000 or 2001. there was a mountain climber he rescued in wyoming. he's been involved in other search and rescue missions. so he's really put his flying ability out there to really help people. and he is respected in hollywood. of course we know him from "star wars." he's currently filming the
10:06 pm
latest "star wars" movie. he actually had broke his leg on the set of this newest "star wars" movie he was filming, but he was okay. did hold up production for a few weeks, but really well respected and liked in hollywood of course with fans as well. >> reports he may have broken that leg again or another leg. we're not exactly sure. we don't have full details on that. kathleen, why do we often hear when there's a plane crash pilot error that 99% of the time that is the case? why does that always happen? >> well, because most airplanes, especially in commercial and corporate aviation the airplanes are built really well, they have great system redundancy. so generally the broken link in the safety chain tends to be the pilot. especially in pilots or general aviation aircraft like what we have today with harrison ford. i think the first thing they're going to look at is this being a vintage airplane with a really old radial engine which is a circular engine, they're going to be looking at that fuel pump and anything else that might have made the engine seize up. i think hopefully with his background pilot error's not
10:07 pm
going to come into play is what we're hoping. >> are there specific laws about older aircraft? like in this particular case, kathleen? >> well, i mean, the faa has different rules depending on how an airplane is licensed and maintained nowadays. but i think that what they'll find is this is actually a fairly popular airplane. there are still dozens of these out there still flying in california. >> it's an amazing story. we're going to continue to update it all throughout the night here. kathleen thank you so much. kim, it's always good to see you. we appreciate your time. and thankfully harrison ford did in fact survive minor injuries as we know at this hour. by the way lots more tonight troubles for hillary clinton and now the former secretary of state is attempting to calm the waters. late last night she tweeted "i want the public to see my e-mail. i asked the state department to release them. they said they will release it as soon as possible." now, of course the fact is the state department only has access to e-mails that clinton has chosen to hand over.
10:08 pm
so perhaps mrs. clinton could use a reminder about the severity of this e-mail scandal. after all, she said this, remember this back in 2007. >> our constitution is being shredded. we know about the secret wiretaps. we know about the secret military tribunals, the secret white house e-mail accounts. it is a stunning record of secrecy and corruption of cronyism run amuck. it is everything our founders were afraid of. >> and here now with reaction is national journal staff correspondent lauren fox author of clinton inc., the aweuda -- former assistant to president bush ron christie is with us. if she wants us to see the e-mail, why did she create a secret account stored on a dark server registered at her home?
10:09 pm
and then he said if she wants us to see the e-mail why didn't she give state all of her e-mail rather than a self-censored fraction of the correspondence? doesn't that get to the story here? >> the narrative has long been that they're secretive, this hasn't been a couple that's been willing to be forthright with some of their personal information or even some of their public persona. they want to protect their privacy even when it comes to what they're doing in their job. certainly the story over the last week has not helped hillary clinton in defending critics against that. so i think certainly this has been very difficult for her and it hasn't been helping her cause very much as she gears up for 2016. >> ron, i thought you wrote a great column yesterday. you talked about when you first started working for the bush administration and you went to your office and there was your computer provided by the government. why don't you tell the story? >> well, sean, on the first day of the bush administration,
10:10 pm
there are many, many people throughout the west wing and in the white house who when you walk in your office and sit down at your chair for the first time, there's a band around your computer from the government accounting office that says all of the property of the documents and the information contained belongs to the united states federal government. and so from my perspective of knowing from the first day starting in administration knowing everything i would do on that machine, documents and e-mails and whatnot would be part of the government. it seems ingenuous secretary clinton would set up her own server and say, you know, i'm going to decide which e-mails to hand over. sean, we weren't allowed to do that. they took all of our professional e-mails, personal e-mails. and the government kept those documents for the public. >> daniel harper, there are four issues now facing the clintons. this has come in the last number of weeks which makes me suspect having followed them so closely over the years that this might be conscious on their part to get a lot of the dirty laundry out of the way now so they can claim that's old news. and that is benghazi.
10:11 pm
we now know in fact the state department knew within minutes it was a terror attack. that is this e-mail scandal that we're talking about tonight. that is the foreign contributions even from states that sponsor terror. and of course bill clinton, his relationship with the convicted pedophile jeffrey epstein. do you think this is conscious on their part to get all the dirty laundry out of the way now? >> i'm not so sure because narratives have a way of sticking. i agree with you completely, sean, that this is clintonian that you get the news out early it would just be old news a year and a half now when it's actually the general election it will be ancient news. so there is some logic to that for sure. but the problem is is a pattern begins to develop. and i think all those four things that you mention suggest that the clintons are now believed that they're above the law. and if this pattern, if this narrative develops further, that can be really damaging. and all of those things especially the e-mail especially the acceptance of foreign donations in defiance of that agreement with president
10:12 pm
obama they all suggest the same thing that the clintons believe they're not beholden to anybody. they might have created some of the laws, they might have signed some of the laws, hillary clinton as a senator might have voted for some of them, but they don't have to follow them because they're the clintons. i don't think that does them any favors. >> lauren let's go back to the election and the narrative of mitt romney, he's wealthy and et cetera. do you think people from oman and the, a uae and saudi arabia donating because they're kind and generous or more likely because they wanted to buy influence? >> well, it's unclear but certainly for hillary clinton this becomes a problem because as a narrative develops it becomes harder and harder to tear it down and to, you know, move away from it. i spoke with senator rand paul yesterday about this internet scandal. and his point was, you know, as difficult as it is and as
10:13 pm
concerned as i am about hillary clinton's e-mails i'm more concerned about the foreign donations. i think that shows you somebody like rand paul as a potential 2016 contender, his line of defense might actually be focusing on the foreign donations than the latest e-mail discussion we're having now. >> ron, real quick, you think this was done out of the goodness of their heart these countries? or is this more likely they wanted to buy influence? remember, some of these donations came while she was secretary of state. >> well let me put it to you this way sean. if you're looking at the clinton foundation having accepted nearly a quarter of a billion dollars, i think these can you be the -- countries want to buy into her -- >> daniel. >> back to the e-mails. an ambassador lost his job over e-mails 2012 inspector general that he had an e-mail system outside the state department. they knew the law, obviously
10:14 pm
hillary clinton fired somebody over it it looks really bad for her. >> thank you. lauren, daniel, ron, appreciate you being with us. coming up next tonight busy night. >> if you're angry, throw your arms up. if you want justice, throw your arms up. >> obama was wrong. eric holder was wrong. and there's al sharpton, he was quick to stoke the racial tensions in ferguson missouri. but guess what? the department of justice finally admits that michael brown never was surrendering to police nor did he have his hands up don't shoot. where's reverend al, where's the president, where's eric holder? where's the apology? what are they going to do for the business owners that lost their business? and later tonight. >> we're talking about mr. netanyahu who has butchered innocent children in gaza. >> iran's foreign minister calls netanyahu a child killer, and we're negotiating with them? we'll check in with ann coulter. and later a side of me you haven't perhaps seen before. i go one-on-one with ufc

welcome back to "hannity." protests erupted overnight in missouri after the justice department released its civil rights reports related to ferguson. now, the department admitted that there was no evidence to bring charges against officer darren wilson and that there was no proof michael brown had his
10:18 pm
hands up to surrender to police. keep in mind back in the fall the reverend al sharpton repeatedly was fanning the flames of racial tension in missouri. you may remember all of this. >> if you want answers throw your arms up. because that's the sign michael was using in order to establish peace you must have fair justice for everyone. >> all right. so where's sharpton now? last night his national action network released a simple statement saying they're deeply disappointed in the department of justice and their decision. so if he's all about justice like he says he is where is his apology? joining us now from the black sphere, author of race pimping, kevin jackson and democratic strategist bazel michael jr. let me go to all of this people were here that lost their entire life savings businesses. i'll put up on video. remember the market being lit on fire? >> sure. >> remember the convenience store footage? remember all of those things
10:19 pm
that were happening? look at that video. that all happened. the tensions were literally exacerbated by the president, by eric holder, by al sharpton. and then the justice department says that the according to accounts michael brown put his hands up that that was inaccurate and inconsistent with the physical and forensic evidence. every time they said hands up don't shoot that was a lie and a myth. what do we do now for those business owners, those people whose lives were ruined? >> first of all i'm sorry about those business owners. clearly those images were quite horrible. but asking sharpton and holder for an apology that's just not going to happen. >> no? >> no. it shouldn't happen. it's not just about this particular incident. you saw all of that violence erupt because there was a pattern -- >> they were making comments, specific comments -- >> a pattern of racial discrimination. >> they created in the minds of people in ferguson and elsewhere there was an expectation that there was going to be an indictment, but yet they didn't
10:20 pm
factor in something called evidence. eyewitness testimony. that in fact he struggled for the gun. we saw the video of him robbing the store intimidating a clerk, charging at a police officer. >> there is a natural expectation for communities to want an indictment when they've suffered under this kind of racial discrimination for decades. >> nonsense. >> but the reality is -- >> that's nonsense. >> -- going to get justice because the justice department said there was racial discrimination in the police department. >> and it was a total farce. if ferguson had a black mayor, black democrat, we wouldn't be talking about this sean. what eric holder did is essentially a racially motivated witch hunt against a jurisdiction that as i said if they had a black mayor, democrat mayor, they wouldn't be talking about this. everything that they're talking about that's happening right now in ferguson is being done double quite frankly by at least nine other jurisdictions who are being sued in the state of missouri by our attorney general
10:21 pm
because they are doing what ferguson is claimed to be doing except worse. let me give you an example. ferguson charges about 15% -- gets about 15% of its revenue from fines and fees. there are nine jurisdictions in the state that have exceeded the state limit of 30% and in some cases up to 50%. and in these nine cases they are headed by black mayors or black city council people. and the majority, the overwhelming majority of the citizens are black. so if eric holder were truly looking at this situation from that standpoint, he'd be going after any one of those black jurisdictions. >> but see going to that very point he is looking at it from this vantage point because what he pointed out in the report is that even though there's a 60% of ferguson is african-american, it is not reflected in the police department. and it is not reflected in the number of arrests. >> let me stay focused on hands up don't shoot which became a mantra of so many. let's go back to the robbery
10:22 pm
that took place before the shooting, before the confrontation. if you remember in this video, here it is there's michael brown. and dorian johnson. dorian johnson was never arrested here. remember, he handed off whatever he had taken to dorian johnson. let's go to the stepfather of michael brown when he said burn this b down. remember this? >> burn this [ bleep ] down! burn this [ bleep ] down! burn this [ bleep ] down! burn this [ bleep ] down! burn this [ bleep ] down! burn this [ bleep ] down! burn this [ bleep ] down! >> all right. and then we have the video of all of the looting that went on. here's my question to you, we can show the video of that, dorian johnson wasn't the one arrested, he had his hands up and was surrendering. that's a lie. the stepfather that said burn
10:23 pm
this b down he wasn't arrested. and all those people that were looting we've been showing, none of them were arrested. should they be arrested now? >> if you were looting you should be arrested. >> the stepfather shouldn't be arrested for inciting a riot? >> he said on camera that he shouldn't have made those comments. even the president of the united states denounced his comments. those should not have been made. but the fact of the matter it does not take away what happened in that moment when officer wilson confronted -- >> there's a good lesson here. don't rob a store, don't intimidate a clerk, don't fight a cop for his gun, listen to a cop when he says get off the street. >> the lesson here is if you're going to run a city with a police department run it so that it is not -- >> kevin should these people we're talking about be arrested? should they be arrested? >> absolutely. if you're going to go after the people -- if you're going to go after darren wilson and you exonerate him and you do what you're supposed to do you should be looking for everybody who led to the lies that have destroyed his life up to this
10:24 pm
point. but it's worse than that, sean. what eric holder's essentially doing is he's now wanting to take all of this stuff that was created on a lie and he wants to blame it on a police department where nobody was complaining. and the nine jurisdictions i was talking about black people were complaining to the attorney general. nobody contacted eric holder and said, hey, we're being prosecuted by -- or persecuted. >> we got to run. guys, thank you very much. i think holder obama sharpton, they should be held responsible for their incendiary rhetoric that i think helped cause the situation in ferguson. don't hold your breath. thank you for being with us. coming up next on a busy news night tonight on "hannity". >> we're talking about mr. netanyahu who has butchered innocent children in gaza. >> there you have it iran's foreign minister claiming netanyahu is out there butchering innocent children. this from the man the united states is negotiating with? so when will president obama wake up? we'll check in with ann coulter tonight. and later you don't want to miss

welcome back to "hannity." in an interview with nbc news the iranian foreign minister was asked to respond to the following hateful tweet from iran's supreme leader. it reads "this barbaric wolflike infantcidal regime israel has no cure but to be annihilated. >> this is a regime. we're talking about mr. netanyahu who has butchered innocent children in gaza. we're not talking about annihilation of jews. we never have. we never will. >> let's see, netanyahu butchers
10:28 pm
children, iran has threatened to wipe israel off the map, called for the annihilation of jewish people many times. who could ever trust a nation like this? guess what he answered that for all of us too. >> but we're not asking anybody to trust us. and we are not going to trust anybody for the time being. we take one step at a time. we're not asking for trust. we're asking for verification. >> all right. joining me now author and column columnist ann coulter. i want you to respond to that but give me some history because we have some time in this segment. and let's start with the supreme leader saying israel is a cancerous tumor that must be uprooted, or him saying that israel is a rabid dog or him saying that the israelis are not humans or ahmadinejad calling for a world without the united states and without israel.
10:29 pm
and then of course aum dinhmadinejadum din -- jad calling fornihilation of israel. giving them the enriched uranium, they already have the delivery system they would use to achieve their dream of destroying and wiping israel off the map. why would the united states ever do that? >> you know the supreme leader really does have a way with words doesn't he? but he did follow some of those tweets with a smiley face emoticon. that really won over the obama administration. it's the obama administration. and israel better prepare for a future on its own because we're going to have obama presidents from now to the end of time with the democrats adding ten, 20 million more voters right now. i mean did you see the democrats reactions and netanyahu's speech? these people will always calling for dialogue dialogue on race dialogue on income equality, dialogue on college rape, but

weapons. and they've cut off intelligence sharing with the israelis the only democracy in the region. you have to analyze this for me. what in god's name can they possibly be thinking? that they could have some type of civil negotiations with people like. >> the democrats are always like this. refer to my book "treason." it was clinton who allowed the north koreans to get nuclear weapons. and, yes the iranians assure us, no this is just for peaceful purposes. if only iran had something that could be used for fuel, something that was plentiful in that country. but look you keep hoisting these topics on me. i'm an american. i care about america. and i think israel ought to care about america. >> tell us about immigration. >> they are our ally, we are their ally. we aren't going to be anymore when the republican party has no more power in this country anymore. i think everyone needs to care
10:32 pm
about that. >> but the republicans caved on the dhs spending bill. >> yeah, i think this is the only news program that mentioned it. for a month the democrats have been filibustering to defend obama's amnesty and every time i turn on tv it's isis, isis, isis. well, isis is going to have the rule of the roost because if this amnesty isn't stopped democrats just get 10 million more voters. you know, the presidential elections are decided by sometimes one two, 5 million voters. the country is divided since the democrats have been adding voters for the last 30 years. so everything that is being talked about has this overlay of a much bigger issue that will decide these issues once and for. all of these issues including america's policy toward israel. and that doesn't get reported on. i don't understand that. this is done in the dead of night. i guess the last time americans stopped john boehner from agreeing to marco rubio's amnesty americans rebelled. this time the media decided don't let the american people know, don't tell them what's going on. >> ann i totally agree with

10:42 pm
