to facebook.com/thekellyfile and leave a comment. thanks for joining us. i'm martha maccallum in for megyn. tonight -- >> my message to you, the people of iran, is that together we have to speak up for the future we seek. >> our commander in chief addresses the people of iran as negotiations continue with the rogue regime in tehran. is obama making a huge mistake? >> if you're watching fox news, you get an entirely different reality. >> he does it again. president obama won't come on fox news but he'll make time for stuff like this. >> your first wife -- >> my first -- do you know something i don't? >> when will you guys stop drinking? >> when we pass out. about 2:00.
7:01 pm
>> en route to panama city beach, florida, to report on this year's spring break for your kids. this as local police are now desperately trying to find this woman. "hannity" starts right here, right now. welcome to "hannity." is president obama trying to make a deal with the devil? u.s.-led nuclear talks with iran are expected to continue next week. meanwhile, last night, the president issued a statement aimed at the iranian people praising iran's leadership. >> my message to you, the people of iran, is that together we have to speak up for the future we seek. as i've said many times before, i believe that our countries should be able to resolve this issue peacefully with diplomacy. iran's supreme leader, ayatollah khamenei has issued a fatwa. >> the very same man who just
7:02 pm
last year said that isis was created by, quote, american zion. and the wicked government of britain. perhaps president obama is not familiar with the thoughts of his former cia director general david petraeus who recently told "the washington post" that quote, the foremost threat to iraq's long-term stability and the broader regional eke libquilibrium is not the islamic state. rather it is shiite militias many backed by and some guided by iran. joining me now with reaction, retired brigadier general tony tata is with us. max boot is also with us. and ambassador nancy soderberg is back with us. do you all agree this is a rogue regime in iran and a state
7:03 pm
sponsor of terror? do we all agree on that. >> yes. >> i do sean, yes. >> nancy? >> of course. that's not the question here. >> that's my question to you. believe it or not it's my show. i get to ask the questions. do we also agree that iran has been fighting proxy wars and giving weapons to groups like hezbollah and others, we all agree on that? >> of course. >> no doubt. >> nancy? >> sean, you do it every time. the question is whether we should be talking to this horrible regime which we all agree is horrible. the question is, yes, we spoke to the soviet union -- >> you can answer your own questions but i'm asking you do you agree that they fight proxy wars and fund terror groups like hezbollah and others? do you agree with that? >> of course we do. >> okay. >> but we have to get to the real substance -- >> have the leaders of iran, including the leaders the president was talking about have you all heard these leaders talk about destroying israel and
7:04 pm
wiping them off the map? do we all agree that they've made that threat repeated times? >> absolutely. >> absolutely. >> nancy you're last again. >> i answered that question last time i was on this show. >> and the answer is? >> still yes. >> let's take a look through history. first let's look at a video of american flags and israeli flags being burned in iran. i'm getting to a point here, nancy, i promise. i'll give you time to talk through it. then we have, for example all the quotes of different ayatollahs at different times and presidents at different times talking about iran that the cancerous tumor of israel has to be uprooted from the region calling israel the rabid dog of the region. israelis should not be called humans. we have god-willing with the force of god behind it we shall soon experience a world without the united states and zionism. and the zionist regime has reached a dead end. thanks to god your wish will
7:05 pm
soon be realized. the countdown to the decline of america's demonic power has begun. here's the question. i'll start with you, nancy, because you have such vibrancy and a desire to talk. why should we not wait until they denounce those comments, statements and denounce and renounce their terror ties and being a state sponsor of terror before -- as a precondition to any negotiation? wouldn't that be a wiser strategy? >> we tried that for ten years and they were very close to getting a nuclear weapon. it's only because we're talking to them that they're not getting a nuclear weapon right now. without talking to them, there's no question they would have that. and then we're in a military confrontation with them. yes, we all agree the iranian revolution created a terrible regime there. you missed the whole killing of the demonstrators and the students in 2009 during the elections. that's partly why i think president obama is reaching out to the youth.
7:06 pm
21% -- 60% of that country is under the age of 21. we want them to see a different iran. >> i'm sure they all got to see it it was such an open society -- >> that's another problem. >> i think nancy's point is frankly -- is based on an absurd premise. i would argue that for any negotiations to take place, they first must renounce terrorism, their ties to terrorism and being a state sponsor of terrorism. and i think the president's comments are beyond any naive if he thinks it's anything different. it's a dangerous precedent the president is setting. >> i think you're right, sean. this president, this administration has just eliminated hezbollah and iran from terror threats in the national security report. that somehow slid under the wire just this week. they're no longer in the national security report. last year, they are at the top of the chart.
7:07 pm
you have to wonder if that's some kind of quid pro quo or something that secretary kerry is doing. how could they not be listed as a terror threat when it's so obvious -- >> crazy, right? >> everywhere you go. and then we have the president talking to the iranian people, reciting poetry to them when just a few years ago they were maiming and killing our soldiers with the most lethal form of roadside bomb. i don't know what pie in the sky world we're living in right now. but this is ridiculous. this is a rogue regime, oppressive regime that wants to destroy israel and the united states. >> nancy hang on, let me bring max in. max, follow up on that. i think the general is bringing up a good point here. they won't say this is a terror state anymore. all three of you believe -- >> no, i don't -- >> give me a chance to speak here, nancy.
7:08 pm
the reality nancy, is no matter what the -- >> give max a chance to talk. >> there is no question that iran is a -- >> guys. let him talk. >> we are not doing anything effective to stop iran. it goes beyond a terror report. the fact is as general petraeus pointed out iran is running a proxy war in syria and iraq as well as in yemen. it is taking over a good portion of the region. and what are we doing to oppose iranian design? i don't see anything. instead i hear administration spokesmen saying iranian actions are potentially helpful as long as they're not do divisive. the very nature is sectarian -- >> let him finish, nancy. >> nancy, if you could stop interrupting me. the fact is the very nature of
7:09 pm
irian action is divisive and sectarian. and it sends the wrong message when president obama is reaching out to the iranian people not to tell them to overthrow their rulers whom they hate and who oppress them but to tell them about how he's about to reach a deal with their rulers that will allow them to keep a nuclear program with all restrictions off of it in ten years. that is not the message we should be sending to the people of iran. >> let me ask nancy this. you agree they're a state sponsor of terror, they fight proxy wars, et cetera. according to all the details, the ones that we have as of now and we may never even get to see the whole deal we found out yesterday, which is understanding. they don't label iran now that has a state sponsor of terror. but they're going to allow the iranians to keep spinning their centrifuges, enriching uranium and in the sunset years of this deal they would have the right to build a nuclear weapon with america's approval? wait a minute. do you think that is wise considering their repeated threats to wipe israel off the
7:10 pm
map? >> i think first of all, i haven't seen the report. i haven't seen any report that the u.s. doesn't consider iran to be a state sponsor of terrorism. you can't not look at hezbollah and all the other areas and say they're not a state sponsor of terror. but i think -- max is a very good historian. look how we acted during the cold war and the evil empire and the soviet union. make the comparison of we talked to them throughout that horrible cold war. the problem is you have to negotiate -- now you're interrupting me. >> the only agreements that we reached that were at all worthwhile were with mikhail gorbachev. we have an entirely different leader in iran. >> we had nuclear agreements on arms control from nixon through the end of the cold war. that's not true.
7:11 pm
>> i'll go back to my question, allowing them to spin their centrifuges, enrich uranium and in the sunset years have a nuclear weapon -- >> no we will not have -- we will not agree -- >> can i finish the question? is that a risk you're willing to take? do you really trust the mullahs in iran with their radical islamic views? >> no i don't. >> they shouldn't have a nuclear weapon weapon. >> they shouldn't. and they will never have a nuclear weapon. what we're trying to do is avoid having a military solution to achieve that goal. no one's taken the military off the table. what the rational voices in this conversation are trying to do is negotiate no nuclear weapon as opposed to having to bomb no nuclear weapon. >> tony tata general? >> i'm not sure what world you're living in. the military solution is happening now. iran is in iraq. they are fighting not as an ally to us. they are fighting to push the arabs away from the persian
7:12 pm
border as they've done for thousands of years. they're fighting in syria. they're fighting all across -- against u.s. interests. they want to destroy israel. the military solution is on the table now. it's on the battlefield. and they're practicing destroying our aircraft carriers -- >> you're arguing we should be at war with iran right now? >> no. all i'm saying is that they are already at war with us. and we're acting like they're not. and we're negotiating with them -- >> final word, max. >> the only way you can get a credible deal out fof iran is to have a credible threat of military force against them. in 2003 they interrupted their nuclear program because they were afraid of us after the invasion of iraq. but nobody is afraid of president obama. nobody imagines that president obama would ever bomb iran. so iran has no reason to reach a real accord to give up its nuclear programs which is something they have to do. >> max, look at the facts.
7:13 pm
that's just not true. coming up next tonight on "hannity" -- >> if you're watching fox news you get an entirely different reality than if you're watching msnbc. so everything's just like an opinion. >> president obama's at it again. seven years into hispresidency fixated on fox news. but why not just come on the show, mr. president? we'll give you two hours. of course these are more important. >> when you go to somebody's house, you have to give them something. don't come empty-handed. so i have green lipstick. and have things changed from last year's spring break in panama city beach? fun in the sun or danger in the sun?

7:15 pm
7:16 pm
welcome back to "hannity." once again earlier this week, president cry baby took yet another swipe at fox news. >> it's hard for voters to see why it is that things aren't working in washington. they get frustrated that they're not working. but there's this kind of sense of -- partly because the media is so sprintered up. if you're watching fox news, you get an entirely different reality than if you're watching msnbc. so everything is just like an opinion. >> yes, seven years in, this marks the latest instance of the president obsessing over fox news. and while he hardly ever gives an interview to the journalists here on this network, over the past three months, president obama's gone to great lengths to take part in these hard-hitting interviews like this --
7:17 pm
>> my momma said whenever you go to somebody's house you have to give them something. don't come empty-handed. so i have green lipstick, one for your first wife -- >> my first wife? do you know something i don't? >> is there any way we could fly obama to a golf course halfway around the world and just leave him there? well, i think that's a great idea. >> great idea. permanent vacation. we'll pay for it anyway. joining me with reaction, john nolte, juan williams. i guess what is this obsession? if i want an interview with the president, i need green lipstick, take a bath in milk and froot loops. this is the kind of interview he wants to give, juan williams? >> it's about the audience. i think it's ridiculous, let me just say that off the bat.
7:18 pm
>> what audience is he getting with that lady? >> i'll tell you, straight up it's about eyeballs. and that lady has millions of people who watch that foolishness and those are young people who typically are obama's supporters. so he's going after people that he considers to be his base his constituents. >> but i think we've gotten to the point that the president at some point has to take responsibility. isn't that what we teach our kids, they have to be responsible for their own actions? seven years in, he's still blaming bush lashing out at fox news sean hannity, because his policies haven't succeeded? >> his attacks on fox news are a campaign he has against his political enemies.
7:19 pm
look at the things the white house has said about bibi netanyahu, calling him a coward and saying he has asperger's. and these attacks on fox news is a way to -- he would rather call his enemies names than sit down at the president of all the united states and make his case to all of us. frankly, i don't see a big difference between sitting down with glozell and steve kroft of cbs news. one takes a milk bath and the other gives obama a tongue bath. >> here's my question, juan. 20 million more americans on food stamps, 20 million more americans on poverty since he's become president. we have 92 million americans out of the workforce. i asked this question last night, are black americans -- because some 90% of black americans vote democrat. are they better off? can you give me one single
7:20 pm
solitary measurement that shows that black america is better off under obama's policies? can you give me one? >> yeah, i think, actually graduation rates have improved. but i think your point is well-taken. the issue, though, when it comes to media is, again, just the way you presented it, sean. i think for example the president if he sat down with sean hannity would say, sean hats off you have been a part of a reinvention of american media. sean hannity is a star and has a niche audience. your audience is overwhelmly strong conservative. but the employment picture, the economy has improved under obama, it doesn't play with your audience, even though it's true. >> we have a record number of people out of the workforce the lowest since the 1970s here are the facts -- >> wait. that's a distortion -- there's a lot of retirement in there. >> the lowest labor participation rate since the
7:21 pm
'70s -- these are facts. we have nearly 50 million americans on food stamps nearly 50 million in poverty, that's 20 million more than when he became president. black unemployment is at -- >> we went through a terrible recession -- >> that's seven years ago, juan. >> and it was that bad. some people liken it to the great depression. but i'm telling you -- >> that's my point. >> if you think about not only the economy but getting out of wars preventing wars -- you think about the success of obamacare -- your audience doesn't want to hear that. >> the rise of isis under his watch. >> we haven't had another 9/11 under his watch either. >> we've had a lot of terror attacks that we call workplace violence if you look around the world. depends how you define workplace violence. john nolte, let me just say this, as far as i'm concerned i know people say fox is conservative. i'm a registered conservative. as far as i know i'm the only one on this channel that has a
7:22 pm
show that says they are a conservative. as a matter of fact i can't think of any other network that allows a conservative to have one hour, one hour. so what's your reaction to this idea? >> one of the things that president obama said that was completely dishonest was when he compared fox to msnbc saying you get the same opinion. there have been polls done that show that fox does a lot more straight news than msnbc. msnbc is basically just a bunch of liberals sitting around the green with one another. >> the most trusted name in news in america is the fox news channel. >> that's right. >> and so are you juan, you were on this channel defending him even when he doesn't deserve it. >> let me just tell you sean my wife says to me all the time, you tune in to fox and you can get the whole story because -- she doesn't agree with my opinions. she says they have bozos like you talking, and you give your opinion. that's the thing about fox. they don't shut you down.
7:23 pm
and he's also not paying attention to what's going on in the daytime hours. i don't see news coverage like fox provides on msnbc. it's a different world, buddy. >> we have great newspeople here, buddy. i'm not one of them. i'm an opinion person. i am a conservative. i don't hide the fact i'm a conservative. this is not a -- in that sense, it is an advocacy news program, very different from a journalist. very different. i'm a talk show host. >> and i don't ever remember george bush doing anything like this. i remember george bush sitting down with "the new york times" three times as president. he sat down with brian williams after katrina and no one demagogued katrina more than brian williams. he spoke to all americans. for some reason, barack obama doesn't like us and doesn't want to make his case to us. >> i think he's spoken -- >> put his pants on, juan. stop whining. don't be a cry baby in chief.
7:24 pm
>> i'm all with you. i think he should speak to fox. >> do his job, stop blaming other people. >> we have reporters -- he's spoken to o'reilly and bret baier and done those interviews. but he should be here -- >> that's my point. >> a lot of people who aren't even conservative watch fox. that's why it's the most watched cable news by far. >> and i don't have a problem letting my friend juan on, even though i like his son's political opinions better than his political opinions. >> and my wife. >> and your wife. the family is right except you. that ought to tell you somebody. >> it does, i tell you. >> good to see you guys. coming up, really important report. ainsley earhardt back on her way to florida to report on spring break. it's not all fun and games. are your kids in danger when you send them there? and later tonight -- >> my question tonight, what the hell is dick durbin doing? >> we don't know either.

drinking, of excess that young people -- it's become a rite of passage. we should attack the culture and not just point to one thing in one city. >> i don't care that kids have a good time. the drinking age when we were growing up was 18. now it's 21. i don't care if they have a good time. but they're so overdoing it. last year you were on this show and we had the funnels. they put in five beers and literally are popping it right into their stomach. and it's almost like instantly drunk. >> i remember that show. i totally respect what you're saying. but i went on spring break in high school in college. one year i went to acapulco and i went to cancun. i grew up in the south. spring break is what we waited for all year long. but i didn't do those types of things -- >> you're the exception. >> that's not true. i was in a sorority with other girls -- >> as a father of two girls and two boys let me bring you down
