10:03 am
he confirmed they are getting good information out of the cockpit voice recorder as the team scoured the site where the german wings plan crashed down in the alps. it shoes how difficult the recovery will be. not only did the plane break up in tiny pieces, but the bodies on board were torn apart are as well. voice recordings being examined might help explain why the plane was in the descent, 3500 feet a minute there was not a brief radio message from either of the two pilots, a real mystery. >> french president holland and chancellor merkel and the majority were french and german. others came from all over the world along with two americans,

10:06 am
called them and said what is going on there was no response what does that say to you? >> well, jon, there are several possibilities, we want to be careful about how we speculate or say here. it is very early in the investigation to really go down a particular path. however, when you have pilots that are not responding and a airplane that is dessending rapidly, you would think they are not in complete control of the airplane or possibly lost consciousness dow to rapid decompression. when you lose cabin pressure. your time of consciousness may only be 9 or 10 seconds if you are a healthy person and a rapid explosion, who knows what the body will do. every gas in your body would be escaping and it is a uncomfortable situation. as a pilot we are trained to getox gen on and establish crew

10:09 am
>> sure, let's talk about that for a second. air bus, we have of the a 320, this is a work horse for air bus, there is 6500 of these built. and of those 20, losses. and a safe airplane. it was not built to have a long life. and so it was not meant to go in service past 20 years and i am speculating of the numbers. it was really not an airplane built to last a long time. unlike boeing. we have boeing aircraft that are flying and nearly 50 years old and boeing using aluminum and built their planes like a tank for a lack of a better word. air bus, they aren't designed to go past 25 years and so the age of the airplane does speak clearly and could add to again,
10:10 am
accidents happen and there is a lot of various things that go into an accident, but the age of the airplane could absolutely add to the loss. >> there are cycles they talk about. cycle of take off and landing. and in flat the hull and it is bulging for a lack of a better term and then they drap it back down and depressurize it. and that is a concern. buck roger, it is great to talk to you. >> thank you for having me on the show today. >> you too. >> and a fox news alert and a story watching close to home. denise haskins who according to report in the bay area went missing from a home in california. and the story that her boyfriend told parents and police, that she was taken from the home and held for ransome.
