the charges are very serious. >> the constitution does grant members of congress protections for acts that they commit while in office does it not? >> well yeah, particularly for statements on the floor of the senate. the government's burden will have to prove a quid pro quo and he did these actions and intervened on behalf of the doctor with various agencies in return for gifts. he said they are close friends and they were gifts and not bribes and the government has to prove that it was not just friends and he let him stay on the resort or fly on the plane but that was payments for which the senator intervened on behalf of the government with the federal government. >> many people are wondering about the timing of all of this.

insists that the public was never in danger. they will be charged in a few hours. david lee is at the courthouse. >> reporter: that's right. we understand the court appearance will take place after two college local time. two men from queen's new york were arrested and charged with conspiracy to use a weapon of mass destruction specifically according to a criminal complaint the women had plains to constructy an explosive device. it is not clear how far along they were in the process. one woman identified noel valencian and the other asia si dii can age 31. they were at one time roommates. the lengthy investigation involved the use of an undercover officer. some of their statements were recorded by the officer and at 1

point, one of the women according to the under cover officer said cording to the criminal complaint that she is in possession of multiple propane gas tanks and how to transform protain tanks in explosive devices. they tried to get information from her on specifically how far along she was in constructing the device but she would not discuss those plans. as for the other defendant in this case. she four strong gihaddist views and interested in the bombing in boston and in possession of

a pressure cooker. and she joked you can do a number of things with a pressure cooker and among them, you can cook food. and according to the criminal complaint one of the women was in contact with al-qaeda in the araban peninsula and in contact in 2006 with an individual that was a prominent member of al-qaeda in the the araban peninsula, and so again we expect these two women to appear in federal court any time after 2 o'clock. and at that point in time we may learn more specifics about that plan. and they plan to blow something up in the united states. and talk about a number of things that is not clear now and what if any specific targets they had in mind. and we will learn more about their connections to terrorist organizations and we know that they used the internet to learn

minutes ago said found solutions, ready to start drafting immediately. but the reports from the ground in switzerland, we are only going to see a joint statement issued that affirms the value of the talks to continue to june 30th. in the double over time period, the content and thrust of these negotiations have grown more opaque. network camera crews are not permitted to shoot brief sprays. and officials are light- lipped on what is happening next. earlier the iranian foreign minister said we should see a statement of understanding. but an american educated prior to iranian revolution added that a written statement is not the same as a written agreement. >> a written agreement needs to be drafted by all participants

today. going back and forth over whether the hearing should move forward and the judge decided it should not. here's why. yesterday, attorneys for robert durst foiled 120 mowings with the court. the prosecution fired up and said that did not leave them time to pour overeverything and that the defense witnesses. those motions challenged the way robert durst's room in the marriott was searched. it was there where the 71-year-old was staying under an assumed name. and the defense said the search was conducted before the official search warrant was signed which would be a big no- no if true. durst's lawyer subpeona troopers

a federal intelligence and sharing with states and law enforcement in a timely fashion and now goes to the point of we need to work with allies certainly in europe. and insure that that intelligence network is constructed. the information is out there. we have tools in our possession to track these individuals, but it comes down to having intelligence at the right time. >> what about combating the ideology that is prolific on social media and seductive to so many. what do we do about that? >> there is a cycle of the individuals for them to become radicalized and it is incumbent on the community and families to keep an eye on the kids, and what they are looking at on line. there is a struggle and certainly a lot of struggle in the muslim communities i think that you know, it should be said

will announce. >> based on the press reports, there does not seem to be surprising or break through or new specific term that captures everybody's attention and i think that people should not be surprised if we hear that a framework was announced. that was baked in the cake. they were going to have success at this meeting one way or the other. i used to say in the u.n. ambassadors say we never fail in new york and they were not going to fail at this either. but on the other hand, broad outlines that we know about is no different than in november of 2013. and see simply have seen this play out in a sustained period and what iran has done 12 years recollects string negotiations out and buy more time and expand their nuclear program.

period of time and a time they decide. >> would you expect that secretary kerry and the negotiators would announce aniesing of the sanctions on iran as a result of the agreement? >> there is no indication of what will happen on sanctions specifically. but we have to acknowledge that the sanctions were piecemealed and not enforced and cheated on repeatedly and all of the negotiations have gone on, sanctions regime that did exist is collapsing around our ears. whether there is a formal announcement of lifting sanctions are announced or not. iran is going to be free. big smile on the face of secretary of state john kerry. he took to the stage along with the other negotiators.

nuclear weapon, so how the research and development was going to be taking place what it would look like was a key issue. you heard from them -- from them, i'm saying from the eu and from negotiators that the there's going to be no missile material allowed at these different sites. another key question here is going to be this. for nuclear technology, you need to enrich uranium, if you take out the uranium, some say, then you're never going to be able to test your technology, you're never going to be able to actually see if your technology is working without the enriched uranium uranium, which is what the united states was if this uranium would go if it ever got out of this country. there are some that believe that you can use other material inside these reactors and see if you could actually build a

nuclear weapon without having the enriched uranium there, some believe that, which is why this issue about uranium and research and development is is so key, and it all gets back to being able to verify, are we actually going to know what's going on in a very, very closed country. >> a man who studied in the united states, speaks english quite fluently, said to be a very charming negotiator and has many friends if admirers among the press who have been covering these negotiations. he is reading right now the same agreement in farsi from his uranium followers but that is one of the key questions, supposedly this deal allows or requires that iran ship much of its enriched uranium out of the country probably to russia, where it will be held for
