the port. >> 4,000 passengers and crew members, heather tells us. it was docking just a short time ago in the sidney harbor. ending that gut wrenching journey at sea. look at that. the ship stranded in rough waters for nearly 24 hours as a monster storm packing 60 miles per hour winds slam the area. all the ports were shut down and no ship was allowed today dock. 4,000 people were on board, including 800 children taking cover inside their rooms as waves as high as 40 feet battered the vessel. many people getting sea sick as you can imagine. those on board recount the horror. they say they are grateful to be back on solid ground.

docked. the other heather joins us. >> let's start out overseas with a fox news alert. french authorities this morning inform us they stopped an imminent terror attack overnight on one or more churches around paris. moments ago france's interior minister announced the arrest of a -year-old algerian man. police caught him after he shot himself by accident and called for an ambulance. police went there they found guns and potential notes -- notes about potential targets in his car. this is the latest terror arrests since france heightened its terror alert. back here at home, a 16-year-old from south carolina prosecutors say plotted to join isis and kill u.s. troops. will now spend five years in a juvenile prison for a gun charge. this is because south carolina does not have a terrorism law. he could be released sooner than

speed. united states sending warships to yemen to keep an eye on the iranians, there are a lot of mixed messages coming out of washington. as we understand it navy officials confirmed monday that the united states theodore roosevelt and normandy were keeping an eye on these iranian warship warships. as they move into the arabian sea. people are wondering what the heck is going on. it doesn't seem as though anyone in the administration has their story stress. this is state department press secretary marie harf and president obama who couldn't be more opposite in terms of what they're telling us is going on. >> i saw a lot of cable tickers today. ships going there to intercept iranian ships. that is blantantly untrue. >> what we said to them is that if there are weapons delivered to factions within yemen that could threaten navigation,

that's a problem. and we're not sending them obscure messages, we send them direct messages about it. >> the question is, are we set to intercept any sort of -- >> no according to her and yes according to him. >> what are your thoughts? >> we talked about this yesterday, what is the message? you have saudi arabia bombing that area because they didn't like who took over the government there. iran says stop the bombing. saudi arabia stops the bombing in come our ships to stop the iranians from resupplying this government. then you have marie harf walk back the fact we're doing anything but cruising. i asked attorney general who spent 33 years in the upper pentagon about the mixed messages. here was his take. >> we have to have every capability that the military components can bring. we have to do smart diplomatic things as well. >> we're not doing either one of

those? >> i don't see that right now. i really don't. i mean, a lot of confusion. i mean, if we're putting an aircraft carrier in the gulf of yemen to block against iranian warships that are coming into that area, and yet we're still sitting at a table cutting a deal on nuclear weapons there's something wrong with that picture. >> there's something wrong with what we're being told by the administration marie harf says they're just there to help with navigation. whatever that means. obama says we're trying to send a message. what it comes down, a lot of people think, is the fact that this president is so invested in this nuke deal with iran, that they could pretty much do anything including download a bunch of weapons in yemen for the houthis and we're not going to do anything, even though we have the great big battleship parked right there. >> calling our bluff. >> yeah. here's the thing, does anybody know what's going on? are they holding their cards tighting to the vest?

taylor. let's start at the beginning. show me how the iranians, where they downloaded these ships full of weapons and where they are right now? >> sure. there's a mixture of cargo ships and warships from the iranians, supposedly they came through this strait down through the arabian sea. >> they're down here somewhere? >> correct. ultimately they want to get them to rebel because that's where the houthi rebels are waiting. no longer can the iranians fly the weapons in because saudi arabia's air force would knock them out of the sky. >> that's correct. allegedly. they are saying they are not giving weapons, we know they the supply line for the houthis is from iran. >> marie harf says we're just showing them. show them with the teddy

young kids as young as five are getting a lesson about transgender issues at a primary school. they were read a book about a boy with a boy's body and a girl's brain. one mom is saying his first grader is asking if he is

transgend transgender. so let me start here tammy, is this some sort of plan or indoctrination on the part of the school to get to kids first? because there was not parental permission. in a way that really promotes maybe the teacher or superintendents or principals' personal opinions. >> this has been going on for quite some time. we've heard it from hillary clinton in it takes a village. it's conditions of not just the parents and the children. as a gay woman you can be the moral arbiter of your child, it doesn't make you a bigot. if you're left to your devices as a parent something will gone wrong. that has to be rejected. there's lots of discussions about age appropriateness. what concerned me as a gay woman somebody who cares about the

future. parents are told if you want to retain control of your family you're going to be called a bigot or a home ophobe. i think it's important for every parent to know for wanting to maintain control of your family is the right thing to do. i think besides conditioning it's about social engineering. it does start very early. this is why i think it's important for every parent to be involved and to know it's okay to interject and to say no. >> i'm glad to say that. it's a powerful discussion to have at some point in time. when parents aren't given notice. are kids ready to be talking about any relationship in terms of sexiality at the age of five. >> absolutely not. between five and eight they're not thinking in a concepual. way. they're not relating to their

own sexiality which will change as they grow goo adulthood. it's not what's important for them at that point. i don't think that kids need to know this or should be knowing this. it is confusing to them. as a feminist and also as a victim activists i think it's insane to say somebody has a boy's body and girl's brain. what's a girl's brain? the book is so full of stereotypes we've been fighting. i can't imagine why they would use it. >> it's the argument against this, i agree. >> if they need to use it with one child dealing with that at the age or eight or older. between five and eight and a group the only people that should be exposed to this are adults and staff and perhaps the parents, absolutely not the church children. >> would you say there is harm done to a child? >> i think there could be harm done. i think the issue is that

children do not understand what you're talking about. and it raises a kind of confusion for them. i mean, there are many men who are ballerinas who are not gay and there are girls who are great athletes and neither are they. and what is the message we're sending? i was fdoffended. >> this is our a projection of our issues as adults on children. when i was a child i thought i was a cocker spaniel. we have these fantasies where we think we're superman, where we're the cat. this is childhood. and this is why this is particularly troubling i think as well. >> particularly troubling, because as a mom i would want to know. give me the option to know so i can be there with my kid when they come home with questions about it and prepare myself as a parent. a great discussion there. they say no age is too young to start learning this from the school. i appreciate your perspectives. up next what's wrong with this photo? two congressmen coming under

last night. 70 members of congress. and overall, about 600. joining us is two people that made that happen. two very important people. the president of the armed forces foundation patricia driscoll and actor frankie muniz is here. how did frankie become part of the foundation, patricia? >> i met him at barrett jackson a couple years ago. this year we started hanging out. he's bidding on cars and not winning. so we had some special people with us. bobby and kia gray. he fell in love with our story. everybody in that room was moved when we sold that future liner for $4.6 million at scotts dale. there wasn't a dry eye there. >> as a guy that burst on the scene from my dog skip to malcolm in the middle, you go down and you want to support the troops.

what did you see at that event that raised how much? >> $4.6 million. >> $4.6 million. >> just hearing the story really inspired me to get involved. i don't have like a personal die. i don't come from a military family. hearing about our veterans and what they're going through and what they do for is inspired me. i want to help out how i can. patricia is a great person. i want to be on board. >> bobby and kia gray told their story. he came back from the war and had trouble adjusting. she found him moments before he hung himself. >> he had hung himself and she cut him down. >> still alive. >> still alive thank god. he spent a couple weeks in the hospital recovering before he came too t. he didn't realize he had hung himself. i thank god we have him to tell his story. he's important to everybody. >> that's part of what the armed forces foundation does.

you had an unbelievable idea. tricare nobody complains about it. va everybody hates it t. you said let's extend tricare. >> for 18 months post deployment. they're getting good treatment. and the department of defense, why interrupt that care. while they're transigdstioningening into civilian life let us extend tricare for 18 months. we can reduce the suicide rate. most people commit suicide between 0 and three years when they get out. if we can made it smoother. when you go to the va those meds are not available always that you were taking in dod. it seems crazy. not all antidepressants are the same. when you go to the va we don't have wellbutrin, anymore you have to have something else. it takes a long time for the

we tweet out things and facebook things. so do the bad guys. you say you have a problem if people post things? >> i don't have a problem with cops looking at it. if someone is dumb enough to post evidence of a crime they deserve what they get. when police officers are interpreting what is innocence behavior and saying someone's a criminal. that's where we have the problem. when we trample on people's rights. >> rod, if somebody -- dumb enough to post evidence op social media, you should go and get them. you think this is something that is very useful and cops have been using it quietly for a couple years now. >> absolutely. i used to use myspace all the time to track down criminals. not only track down criminals, but also to track terrorism as well and terrorists. it's something that's at our disposal. we use it all the time. it has proved to be very

helpful. >> one of the problems is the fact some of the bad guy and gals are big talkers and they post stuff that isn't true. >> you're exactly right. that's why, steve, we use social media whether it's instagram facebook, we use that as one tool in an artillery of tools. i don't think that one particular type of website would be enough to obviously get a conviction against somebody. definitely is something you want to use in your arsenal in terms of conducting the investigation. >> okay. in addition to what somebody might post online or respond or have a conversa of people online like things, you know down at the bottom after a dialogue, you can push the like button. if somebody pushes the like button of a known bad guy, bad person is there -- does a light go off in the cop's head if he likes the comments, that could be a bad guy, too? >> that is the sliply slope.

when a like button is pushed, we don't know who is pushing that button. because an account likes a photo. we don't know who is behind the account. sometimes you leave your computer or your phone logged in. sometimes multiple people use accounts. sometimes an account is a fake account in someone's name who that person is not actually the person running the account. the other thing is that just liking something we're in america. the freedom to like a picture to look at something, should not mark us as a criminal. if we allow those rights to be eroded for some americans, we're eroding the rights of all americans. >> you like to look at people who like bad stuff. >> absolutely. you can form associations, you can gather evidence. and it's fair game to be out there and gathering this type of information. with all due respect to the defense attorney here you know we use social media all the time. and we have been using it. the bad guys use it t why can't
