9:05 am
>> there is going to be questions about that and other things. we wanted to fight a clean war to the extent he wants to fight a war at all. it has been heavily dominated by these drone strikes. there were reports in the new york times report that president obama was overseeing the kill list and helping make these decisions. it will be interesting to see in light of these reports today whether that was true. the white house said the president didn't make this target. it will be interesting to see if something changes. >> they said that early on and if the briefing comes up and we are able to get there we will show everybody what is going on if they will take about this. you talk about a clean war. what does that mean exactly? you are still killing people. >> steve, i want your thoughts

president about the two hostages killed. politically where does this put the president? >> i think it goes back to the notion of the clean war. it is not really a clean war. this is an issue where you have the left and the right coming together. so strict constitutionalist on the right who say a president can't act unilateral without due process against american citizens. it creates a bad precedent. but you have folks like diane feinstein who is one of the most vocal opponents of what the president did. you cannot have a kill list and kill americans overseas because it sets up a dangerous precedent. i am with steven hayes. i am glad they are gone. i applaud the president forget
