so much to talk about this year. but of course the big story, the republicans finally succeeded and obama is being forced out of office in 18 months. you did it. and there are so many great people who have announced they're running for president. who should i vote for? hillary. who's better than marco rubio? hillary. and who is more knowledgeable about for policy than rand paul? hillary. who's better on the economy than hillary? bill. hillary's campaign slogan is it's your time which i assume is what she says in a mirror while she's dead lifting 200 pounds. i'm excited about her running. i'm not sure she's excited about having to run. i'm sure she feels like meryl
8:01 pm
streep feels when she is asked to audition for something. are you kidding me? all right, guys now, this next part is a repeat after me. so i need your help me.. i want all the media to put their hands up and swear something this election season, okay? i solemnly swear not to talk about hillary's appearance because that is not journalism. [ applause ] also, cecily strong looks great tonight. now, i don't want you to take any of this as an endorsement for hillary clinton, because i would never blindly endorse a candidate i don't play on "snl." hillary clinton has her work cut

out for her. her democratic challengers are a who's who of who's that? jim webb lincoln chaffy silas phelps, peter wilkes. and let's not forget martin o'mally. oh i don't have anything to add. that's his campaign slogan let's not forget martin o'mally. lincoln chaffy is thinking he can be president is like watching a dog look for his dead owner. like oh, he doesn't know. a lot of people want elizabeth warren to run for president. but many think she's too idealistic and her policies are too liberal. but look at president obama. people thought about the same thing about him and he didn't
8:03 pm
end up doing any of that stuff. now, the republican field is idealogical diverse, including people like ted cruz, a tea partier, and rand paul a libertarian, and chris christie, who is a democrat. jeb bush is probably in the race. the presidential race not the hispanic race. that was just an accident. by the way, jeb is actually an acronym for john ellis bush. i guess he thought that sounded too eliteist, so he way overcompensated. marco rubio is running for president. when jeb bush found out, he said -- [ speaking spanish ] marco rubio makes mitt romney seem relaxed on the air. i just hope he gets comfortable in front of a camera before he
8:04 pm
has to go on tv to endorse jeb. chris christie has said if he's elected president, he would crack down on states that legalized marijuana because he believes marijuana is a gateway drug. so like a bridge to other drugs and he wants to shut down that bridge? now poll shows that chris christie's approval ratings in new jersey are at an all-time low. in fact the only thing they approve of less is "that the mannequin guy would stay in the system." ted cruz. it's like the right wing thought what is the exact opposite of a black opposite? how about a canadian latino who will never be president? that's true. he was born in canada a child of cuban immigrants. i can't believe he wasn't in hillary's announcement video.
8:05 pm
carly farina is considering running for president. seems like a lot of work just to be a fox news pundit. rand paul announced he's taking over the families not being president business. and yes, that's rand as in he didn't get elected but at least he rand. paul's a libertarian, which if you're unfamiliar a libertarian is a republican that you have to block on twitter. rand paul's campaign slogan is defeat the washington machine, unleash the american dream. the american dream, of course is the model name of rand paul's wig. well enough talk about 2016. let's talk about the most important person in the room the person i'm so glad that's in the white house, michelle obama. [ applause ] michelle you take care of that garden while you can, because in

18 months because you know bill is turning that into an above ground pool. but seriously, michelle obama, what an amazing woman. a harvard educated lawyer a fierce advocate for lbgt rights and the founder of the let's move campaign to combat childhood obesity. it is a dream to come next to you, but it's a nightmare to eat next to you. i have a confession. you know when i got up to go to the bathroom for like 20 minutes? i hid a cheese pizza behind the toilet and i ate it. and of course mr. president, thank you so much for taking time away from being on jimmy kimmel to be here. it's amazing to be seen with the president having this fancy dinner. i know this must have cost a ton of food stamps so thank you. i can say that because a lot of you probably don't know this
8:07 pm
but president obama and i grew up together in chicago. i remember when we used to go down to the cabrini green basketball courts. i would lace up a pair of jordans, he would slip on a pair of my mom's jeans. we would just miss three-pointers until sundown. when of course we would have to stop and pray to mecca. but those were simpler times. now you have problems with congress putin, israel. you said it yourself we can't solve these problems by holding hands and singing "kumbaya," which is the village in africa where the president is born. am i saying that right, kumbaya? after six years in office, your approval rating is at 48%. not only that your gray hair is at 85%. your hair is so white now, it can talk back to police. [ applause ]
8:08 pm
president obama, i bet you wish you were coming into office in 2016 instead of 2008. probably should have let hillary fix the economy for eight years, then it could be you running away from her successful presidency. you know mr. president, you probably get this a lot, but you're a lot like madonna. you have both given this country so much but in like a year and a half you've gotta stop. mr. president, it was a true honor to be here tonight, and thank you to the white house correspondents' association, whatever that is. but i have to finish up because the exterminators need to get into this room. i've got a bathroom pizza to finish. so thank you so much. and good night. [ applause ] >> and that's it for "justice tonight." thanks for being with us.

for trigger warnings before a feminist. they are concerned that her speech could traumatize rape victims. quote, it dismisses the real harm of rape culture. protesters held up signs that said things like trigger warning, anti-feminism. they invited students to come to a safe space in another building if they felt upset by the lecture. meanwhile, i believe we have tape of an otter creating a safe space. >> that is actually a deleted scene from "the hobbit." >> i haven't seen that. >> well, it is deleted so it doesn't matter. i haven't seen it either. how did feminism go from women are just as strong as men to we need trigger warnings and safe spaces to deal with people we disagree with? >> we are very delicate.
8:11 pm
a fun fact, this organization my first job in dc was planning the lectures for that group. i was there for seven years. it has definitely gotten worse. it used to be what they didn't want to do and they would change your room at the last minute. you would have to tell everyone no, go here instead. i was like a pioneer. now it is like they can't even breathe the same air of someone they disagree with. they are definitely not furthering their cause by saying we are too delicate to hear another woman's view. >> totally. joanne and if they thought her speech would be so hurtful all they had to do was not attend right? >> what they are doing is they are silencing a woman. that's absurd. that's not feminism. it is great. at the start of the lecture she says how a majority of people believe in equality among the sexes.
8:12 pm
only 18% call themselves feminists. she said the point of her lecture was to hopefully change that idea and change the perception but she asks the question why is that? this is why it is. it is this extremism. it is the extreme action that silences people. it makes the masses go, well i don't want to associate myself with that. i believe in equality but that's not equality. >> tom what if safe spaces makes someone feel unsafe. >> and they do. i think trigger warning may trigger something in people. her lecture was called -- i don't even know. it was something about what's good and what's bad? she wasn't saying i am against feminism and she is not ann coulter. she is not out there to -- obviously anne is out there pushing buttons. christina is a very sober thinking individual. people should follow her. i follow her twitter and she always has a great article. and her book.
8:13 pm
i read a great book "the war on boys" and two other books i can't remember right now. she is great and she is obviously an intellectual and she is just the kind of person women should be welcoming to their campus and it is ridiculous. it used to be i am woman hear me roar. roar is triggering to them. >> the thing she did that pissed everyone off was in the book she pointed out the phony super bowl stat about how more women are beat on the super bowl. that angered the feminists. she is one of the few conservative women who says i want to take back the word feminist. a lot of them have given up on it. as far as conservative women, and she does -- doesn't even call herself conservative. >> she has the super bowl thing. she wrote an article completely refuting the pay gap. she is fantastic and there is -- it is amazing there aren't more like her out there. she is a true feminist and a conservative. >> she sounds evil to me.
8:14 pm
>> -- before you mock the safe spaces if someone came to a school where you were a student and they did a lecture on why super harry people are inferior wouldn't you feel unsafe? >> i would be too high to notice. >> that is one solution, sir. >> is back here the andy's cat? >> his cat is often mistaken. >> i am more allergic to dan's back. >> meanwhile at university of north carolina students started a hash tag movement not safe unc in response to david horowitz saying certain dwrowps were connected to -- groups were connected to terrorists. is this really about safe spaces? or is it about trying to eliminate the speech they find disagreeable. >> anyone using the hash tag has never been to an unsafe space. it is so ridiculous to say
8:15 pm
that being in a speech is an unsafe place. it is all about getting rid of the speech. they don't even want to give a voice to someone they disagree with. obviously you can just not go. but they don't want thib else to go either. >> exactly. joanne one of the unc students said -- he said though he is a supporter of free speech horowitz's speech was unacceptable. he is not a supporter of free speech, right? >> and he is not even in college. the point is to meet people with different backgrounds and ideologies. save your money. save your energy and your money and use it somewhere else. this is pointless. >> dan final word to you. >> i often tweet when i am in a dangerous situation. as does tom. he live tweeted a mugging the other day i think. >> that was just me mugging for the camera. >> okay. i am an idiot and i have nothing of value to say. >> then i will move on. it's a wrap for the rap. an ohio principal has canceled

an event that invited girls to spend a day in a muslim headscarf. the challenge was to celebrate diversity. it didn't go over well. critics say the exercise seemed to promote a single religion and the covering is a form of female oppression. others complained having all girls covered up seemed to be mocking the tradition. now the school is reportedly being criticized for caving into anti-muslim bigotry. stay tuned for the cancellation of the cancellation. lisa, what was the mistake here? planning the event in the first place or can selling it -- cancelling it when people complain sph. >> why does celebration of diversity start with making everybody do something? >> that's true. >> i do think this was optional. i don't think every girl at school had to do it. >> i think the first thing was dress as your -- for -- you know famous muslim woman
